Dropping back to the ground with the rest of the team, Jink lands in a crouched position, his grapple retracting as he eyes off the newcomer, no time yet to draw a weapon...

<Drek, no street access back there chummers. Looks like we're going out the front door after all. Who is this guy?">

"I'm Jink, perhaps you've heard of me? " the rigger asks, a cheesy grin on his face, turning his shoulder a little to display the "Team Soza" emblem on his longcoat.

OOC: I'm actually a touch confused. Where, exactly, are we, and who is present? I think we had a time desyncronization issue.

Switchback's eyes flick over to Jink as he drops to the ground.  He shifts slightly, placing Vanian in a more comfortable position and tightening his grip on his weapon.  Who is this guy?  Gotta come up with something to keep him busy..

"Easy chum.  Shooting's not in anyone's favor here.  We're chums of Vanians.  As you may have noticed somebody seems to have taken a shine to him.  We came to help out.  I'm afraid he's a bit delicate when it comes to getting shot at, but he's fine and dandy I promise you.  Now, lower your weapon or at least stop pointing it at me.  I get jumpy when guns are at my back, and besides I don't think any of us wants more company at this party."

Switchback stands still, waiting.  Just keeps getting better and better...

OOC: I can roll con if needed.  I'm not sure what the modifiers would be.  We are obviously suspicious, but we do have Vanian.  I'm not actually trying to con Sundance though.  Just get the gun away, or distract him long enough for Ghost to drop him.

Rolls help with roleplaying.  Don't worry too much about modifiers.  There was a desync with time when you guys ended combat.  I thought Umaro was waiting for Mirikon to hack security, but he was hot on your trail and should have reached you before you left rat's apartment.  It shouldn't matter too much whether you're in the courtyard or the apartment.  The situation is that he's on the other side of a doorway, with Switch framed in it.  Yuri detects hidden node 11d6.hits(5) → [5,6,6,3,4,6,6,1,5,2,6] = (7) successfully.

Yuri doesn't move.  <<Sorry guys.  I don't know how I missed this guy... besides him being a tiny blur..>>

"Vanian didn't say anything about friends when he called for our help...but maybe you're telling the truth, and you're right about getting out of here. We're leaving, now, in our van, with Vanian, and you're coming along. When he wakes up, we see how he feels about your help and then I stop pointing my gun at you."

Jink has Vanian, yes? Cato's post indicates he does.

*subvocal to Kouryuu and Motoko* *Found unconscious Vanian, and a possible friendly. We are coming down and getting the fuck out of here, and sorting this shit out later. Get the van ready. *

"Well, I'm sure you saw all the bullet holes on your way down here.  I'd say you were late, and our friendship has been verified.  After all, Vanian is still alive.  But, since I trust your good intentions I'll let you in on a few things chum.  First, you're right we are leaving.  But we aren't going in your van.  I trust you, but I'm pretty particular about riding.  Queasy stomach and all that, you know?  So we'll take ours, and you are free to hop a ride.  Might be a bit cosy, but we're all chums, no?  Now about your gun... that's your ace.  But I know where Vanian is, and I'm not alone.  Those are my pocket aces.  If you absolutely feel the need to point it at me, just let me turn around.  Like I said, I get jumpy when they are at my back.  There's more in the pot here then you know... but we should really get moving.  Even fraggers like those in the hallway have friends.  In fact, they may be quite popular, know what I mean?"

I hope some of those bets come through... I'm not a huge fan of having guns at my back

OOC: As far as I know Van is invisible and over Switchbacks left shoulder.  He's holding an Uzi in the right.  Jink and Ghost are in the courtyard.

Looks like everyone thinks of the situation differently as there has been misunderstanding in placement, so @Kontact Could you pleas set the scene so we know where who is and there is no misunderstanding, or better even you could just set the places with the second team so we do not risk meta gaming any way.

p.s. should i start posting here as well as i entered the building just now?
and do we still need a separate topic just for Okamoto and the fleeing thug, as Motoko is hacking the house node and can be considered in the house as well.

@team >understood, joining you as soon as i find you, How is your progress, Motoko, any luck on the hack?
p.s. you still can use my Bike as a ramming drone. Crimson out.<

Ah, OK, that explains what's up with Vanian.

"Or you might be here to kidnap Vanian. Or he might be dead and you stashed his body. Alright, you turn around, and we go for a ride - you, me, Vanian, anyone else who wants in on the ride, and my white phosphorus grenades, got it? And don't try any magical shenanigans, either."

*subvocal* *Change of plans. I'm getting in their van. Stay nearby. If a fight starts, you lose contact with me, or their van catches on fire, back me up. Motoko, if you can hack one of their commlinks subtle-like to verify their story, that would be good.*

Sundance looks like a human child with an oversized, armored left lower arm and both lower legs. He's wearing a Strict-9 jacket and hood with a gas mask over it, and it's all currently blurring and blending into the wall of the building. He's pointing a Yamaha Sakura Fubuki at Switchback.

"To the swagger wagon!" declares Jink, catching the end of the conversation between Switch and the newcomer. He leads the way down the hallway and outside, his gun still holstered, confident their ork could mash their new tag-along if required, despite the firearm. Pinging his wagon for pickup at the front, the jet black Rover drives right up to the front entry, doors open for easy access.

Jumping inside, Jink connects his fibreoptic cable to his datajack and the wagon's dash for a direct neural interface connection, before thumbing off his commlink and terminating any wireless connections to the wagon.

Assuming the team plus Sundance are happy to travel in the wagon, once everyone is on board, he guns the engine and they speed off out of the area, conscious that Knight Errant is on the way.... once they're going he activates the morphing plates and spoofing chip to try and make it harder to track them.

Sundance follows Switchback and Jink to the van, keeping an extremely suspicious eye on both of them and his gun out and ready. As they start leaving, his holowear flickers and he suddenly looks like an unarmed male dwarf wearing street clothes.

Umaro: The Intuition roll you made earlier was to see through the Imp Invis spell, and you beat it.  As such, you can see Rat just fine.  Other than that, yay that things are moving forward.  There's just a couple more thing to handle before we hit the road and I hand out some goodies.  Yrui hacks in 14d6.hits(5) → [6,1,6,1,1,2,2,4,1,3,3,3,4,5] = (3)  successfully as user, Sunbot gets a free spot check 10d6.hits(5) → [1,3,5,5,2,6,6,5,3,2] = (5) opposed by Yuri 15d6.hits(5) → [4,6,6,5,6,3,1,4,4,1,4,6,5,6,5] = (8) Doesn't see her.  She's going to browse Sundance's call log while they talk.

<<@Team: Vanian called this guy.  The call log checks out.  Also a lot of Russians called him.  Even I recognize some of these names.  This guy is well connected, so be very careful.>>

"You guys have fun.  I'm going home and downing some Laes.  So, if I see any of you around later, feel free to ask me if I'd like a glass of elven wine.  I'll know what you mean even if I have no idea who you are."

Kour: So you're running toward the backdoor?

Not running, walking or even a bit slower then that and looking around.
Can do new perception roll for the inside. here - 3 and 4 hits respectively

P.s. People i guess we have to make one thread or we miss a lot of detail, for example Crimson being in the building on her way to join Sundance,

*subvocal**We don't have time to screw around - we need to be getting out of here before more goons show up. I give it maybe 50-50 that these guys are legit - at the very least, they're not here to kill Vanian or he'd be dead. We need to figure out something we can all agree to, fast.*

*You know what, fuck being a relay. Join [some channel number]*

"We have a problem. My friends do not trust you. I do not want to waste bullets shooting my employer's friends or let him go with his enemies. Join [channel number], we need to sort this out fast."

OOC: Sundance is basically just trying to put everyone in comm contact so we can talk, instead of him being a relay.

Crimson Stps the lot on the Halfway to the Van, still in the building. "Whoa, chummer where to?"

Switchback joins the channel: What seems to be the problem?
