thinking of rolling up a mage with a simrig...  record the runs then edit names and faces, other sensitive data, etc. for
obvious reasons then sell the simsense on the black or even open market.

Plenty of suits who'd love to simsense some runs, and I'm sure mundanes would pay a ton to see what it's like to be a mage.

Ok, granted the exact feeling of casting magic can't be recorded but, with the recorded physical sensations and a bit of
editing could prolly come close... not that the mundanes would know any better.

So, I open the floor to opinions on this idea.  Would be some extra income while running.  Would have to use a fixer and
decker to edit the chips until you could afford the tech yourself. Whatcha'll think?

It's definitely something you would want your teammates to know going in - if they find out by running across one of the recordings, they might get pretty violent, even if things like their faces have been edited out.  I imagine a lot of Johnsons would frown on this, too.

This is assuming you're not running in L.A., where recording your runs would be fairly normal behavior.  The biggest problem is that the "real thing" might not be as exciting, and convincing, as all of the fake ones out there.

going through a very loyal fixer and/or a decker would afford me some anonymity
, and I'm not trying to make blockbuster hits... as addicted as people are (modern day) to reality shows i feel it's safe to assume
there would be a good market for vicarious shadowrunning.

They don't go into much detail about simsense stuff making this seem like a good roleplay element with some added income.
