Personality/background Legion had a fairly uneventful life until college. He attended MIT on an engineering scholarship for a short time, but was online during Crash 2.0. He was trapped there for a month, and when he woke up he found himself connected to the machines keeping him alive in a way he had never felt before, but when he tried to remember anything from before he woke up, he couldn't recall anything. He spent a lot of time connecting with drones and exploring his newfound powers, deciding that if he couldn't remmeber his past, it hadn't been too important. This bonding with sprites and drones led him to a Stream that believes the Matrix is a unifying presence that is slowly spreading to connect everything to each other, and that sprites are extensions of the technomancer's own mind and powers. He also needed a job, and with no history, had very few options and decided to become a runner. He tends to rely on his drones in the real world, but is a competent hacker on his own. This constant contact with sprites and drones has led him to see himself more as the central hub of a conciousness that spans multiple sprites and machines, and took up the running name "Legion" in a reference to a quote he saw, "My name is Legion, for we are many".
