The Agents on the two hidden commlinks scan the area. They trigger a message in case they found a signal from Aki's cyberhand or from the weapons ID from the Messy Biz Chapter 1.

And Space checks every few minutes the link list which is produced by those two agents for suspisious links, like Smartguns or hidden, private commlinks.

@Kontakt: I don't know if it's harder or easier for LJ to sneak around in the upper floors with the hotel suits. But I think that right now, at lunch time, most guest are  either in the restaurant or have lunch in their suit (Aki for example). Furthermore, the check-out time is already gone so no cleaning personal should be around and the hallways are empty. The working-area at the main floor, on the other side, should be very busy right now (good or bad?), and a security terminal should have more informations clearance than a cleaning terminal.

So I'll just say what I was thinking:
Let's say the following happens:
Ms. Fukuyama exits the bathroom and panics when she finds out her kid's missing. A search gets started and despite all the security there, the woman or her bodyguard manages to find the child before security does; only they're kind of afraid to approach him because he somehow managed to get his hands on a taser from one of the hotel's own security. Bodyguard (or Oren) gets shot with the taser, kid drops taser and starts crying.
(Other situations where the kid is in serious threat work too, I guess. Just need to make sure it's nothing bad enough to be forced to go into a hospital or something.)

You think a hotel would do a whole lot to try preventing the hit on their reputation and avoid being sued. Like an all-in free stay in the hotel while she's in town to prove themselves...?

I don"t that that it cannot work, but there are some holes in that story:

What also could happen: Oren panik --> Hotel security but her into the lobby, telling her to wait there with the standart: "We have everything under control."--> Hote security find LJ first. --> Oren&Child are complimented out of the hotel (no way to come to the hotel with the same story/SIN)
If LJ has got e taser (where does she get the gun anyway?) and acutally shot one of the hotel security --> The Hotel sue Oren
If LJ get taserd, a hotel-own medic comes and finds out that the small child is actually not a child.--> Big Problem

In any case, as a Horizon Hotel, if a Shiawase Suit is suspicious (lossing her own child for example and panik), I would run another SIN check, just in case. Should be no problem for the hotel to do that descrete since Orens commlink should be in active mode in the hotel, I guess.

Hence, I would assume that Oren plays the professional Suit, don't panik and sends her bodyguard around the hotel, who will, only if stoped by security, tell the story about the lost child. And LJ shouldn't try to pick a taser from somewhere, to risky in my opinion.

Let's say LJ gets off following the woman and then wanders to the stairway.  From there, the eye spy drone can head up to the upper floors and snoop around while Silk and Kitten see about patching into the building's network.
