I don't need pilot, as I'm looking around in the astral.  And as I know where LJ was when he dropped of the net, I can narrow down my search a bit (besides, there's bound to be wards in the hotel, so there are places I can't go astrally).

I'll need to know if LJ got 3+ on masking

I was speaking about my rolls, sorry for the confusion.

@Chrona: So after an entire conversation, "not being caugth" is all Silk achieves? Not even a name? Or are we playing/rolling for that result later at the end of dinner?

Mag 5 +5 Int + 1 initiate (11d6.hits(5)=3)  E'yup.  Forgot it's mag 6 now, not that it makes a diff.

Don't know if masking helps though, as Xzyl points out.  Recognizing the same false signature should still be possible, assuming it is the same false signature every time.  Those are some really foggy rules...

I guess Masking changes the intensity of the signature -perhaps the actual 'visual' effect depends on the perceivers tradition- but not the signature itself. (You see the same person, only more/less powerful than before.)
Flexible signature on the other hand would then change the signature, but not its intensity. (You see a different person, but equaly powerful.)
Make sense?
(I always figured a Street Sam with 0.1 essence to have almost no intensity, almost being as dull gray as a lifeless object)

As far as I can see it's not always the same, as you have a couple of options: look mundane, make your magic look higher or lower, or look like a different type of creature (although you have to be able to astrally project to look like a spirit or astrally active creature, which adepts cannot).

So it comes down to me knowing if you can do that (I don't think so), me knowing approximately where you are (yes) and finding whatever aura you're currently projecting stange at the location you're in (even a mundane homo sapiens in the ventilation shafts is going to make me wonder, but one wandering in the corridors is not) and me having seen the false aura you're now using before (I have assensed everybody at least once).

So basically I can only see the false aura as I need more hits.  Now it's GM's call whether I connect the dots and link the false aura to LJ or not.

Went to the stairs and started climbing.

While I can track that aura, it's not particullar enough to be sure it's LJ (there's more people using stairs).  I'll have to do it the old fashioned way then.  I can use it insofar as that it's an aura on its own and I can disregard all auras that are in groups.  I'll post something later today.

*optional: a little bit drunk

Feed is from Silk's cybereyes looking around the room for a possible target. Lazarus or I need to roll something?

I assume that it would be a judging or etiquette roll. Which probably something more for Silk.

Quote from: For the hacking, I have the following plan:
-Space use the second disposable commlink to hack into the decoy as an admin
-There he creates another hidden, admin account and after that he closes the connection.
-With some redirection actions and a new access ID, Space uses the new account to login directly on the decoy.
-First he deletes all data trails from his first exploit and also edit the time stamp, when the account was created to some hours ago.
-Next, Space opens some channels to different links in the restaurant, including Ojousan's. Without any exploit attempt.
-Finally, he hacks into Ojousan's link, makeing data search for paydata in generall, but inclueding The Bog.

Goal: It should look like a simple data theft from someone outside who has hacked into the decoy earlier to get a remote link into the restaurant with all the rich and important people.

-If Space isn't found by then, he hack into some less secure links and then hastly close all connections, as if he was found and has to run.

Does this sound okay, or can anyone think of something (problem or improvement), a hacker like Space would think about too?

What do I need to roll to find LJ in the way I described?

Chrona, I added some rolls ( since its lots of rolls I done them upfront)

I assume that it would be a judging or etiquette roll. Which probably something more for Silk.

Quote from: For the hacking, I have the following plan:
-Space use the second disposable commlink to hack into the decoy as an admin Scanning for the Decoy Commlink: 5 + 4 +7 + 6 Hits
Hacking for AdminAccount into the Decoy Commlink: 2+5+4+7 Hits
Matrix Perception on the Decoy Commlink: 6 hits
-There he creates another hidden, admin account and after that he closes the connection.
-With some redirection actions and a new access ID, Space uses the new account to login directly on the decoy.
Spoofing (redirection and spoof ID): 7+5 hits
-First he deletes all data trails from his first exploit and also edit the time stamp, when the account was created to some hours ago.
Edit the Timestemp: 3 hits
Edge: +3 hits
-Next, Space opens some channels to different links in the restaurant, including Ojousan's. Without any exploit attempt.
-Finally, he hacks into Ojousan's link, makeing data search for paydata in generall, but inclueding The Bog.
Hacking into Ojousan's Llnk with Edge: 10 hits
Hacking (second roll): 6 hits
Data Search for Paydata (+ The Bog): 4+6+8+9 Hits

Goal: It should look like a simple data theft from someone outside who has hacked into the decoy earlier to get a remote link into the restaurant with all the rich and important people.

-If Space isn't found by then, he hack into some less secure links and then hastly close all connections, as if he was found and has to run.Random Hacking: 3+3+5+5+5+4 Hits
Perception if someone found him: 1 hits

Does this sound okay, or can anyone think of something (problem or improvement), a hacker like Space would think about too?
