Mea Culpa,

I didn't checked the errate. Kontact is right. That would be 10 dices instead of 11. Should I reroll the defences, Chrona?

Will post IC ASAP.
We now reach the time of final deadlines.

Also due to the monetary and housing problems I've mentioned briefly before, I'll have no internet access between the 18th and sometime in January >.< Sorry that the gme will be on hold again... it's gonna suck.

Around 15 minutes after that Andromeda's drone provides a Shadow BBS where talk is on the bog.
Most of it is rumours but one poster, Lendar223, swears he knows where it is, but isn't telling anyone.
missed this one

As far as i understand we could track him down using signature or IP right?
@Andromeda: I'm busy, you do the data search, plz.

@Space "On it."
Andromeda Quickly changes the subject of search of her agent to the photo and voice of the patron. then went on searching for LJ with her drone.
and here is no dice rolls  :-[
Changing that

Okay stickingmy head in to get you're opinion on something. On saturdays I am in a local Burning Wheel campaign, I am the social character, a court lawyer who, along with a field nurse turned living saint, a mercenary whose secretly an elf a Knight and a Knight of the Hospitalia saved the King and became the 5 Barons of Ascalon.
But during the tournement I/we arranged the King is murdered, we're blamed and theres a Coup.
I got stabbed in the shoulder and a crossbow bolt to the gut, am currently healing.
While on the lamb with loyal refugees and allies we've run into an immortal necromancer who is willing to help if we stop the Hospitalia chopping his head off everytime it grows back.

My character Friedmann is pretty paranoid about all the open combat he ends up in despite being the politician (for those familiar with the system he's Blades B2 and Bows B3, everyone else including enemies are B5 to B8, one is G5 to G8.
We're about to talk to the hashashim, cross a county under revolt, start a civil war, attack the capital, take over the badguys county then beseige our own city.

My Character sees that as many possible deaths. The necromancer, Marcus, is offering to pull my heart out and make me immortal like him. but that would bring down the wrath of the religious PCs so I'm looking for something less obvious but that'd still offer some advantage/durability. The GM says he can work in any necromancy I can think of.

Do you guys have any ideas?

I can't make the saint undead, we need her to summon angels.

The hospitalia would just immidiatly a. win against us as we try to fight him or b. killhimself after.or c. leave, find his heart and kill himself.

it needs to be specifically done to my character

1) Is every kind of necromany forbidden or only the take-heart-out-of-chest part?

2) Do you need a way to hidde the fact that your heart was taken out or do you look for alternatives to  take-heart-out-of-chest part?

3) Is it possible to replace some other body-parts? E.g. give you the arms of a troll, or a second paar of arms?

2) Do you need a way to hidde the fact that your heart was taken out or do you look for alternatives to  take-heart-out-of-chest part? Alternatives, the hospitalia is also a surgeon, he'll notice if I regen.

3) Is it possible to replace some other body-parts? E.g. give you the arms of a troll, or a second paar of arms? Knowing Marcus, yes if he has materials. but this is too obvious.

Can't say I understand much of what you're talking about :p
From what I read though, I don't understand what you, as a diplomat, have to gain from necromancy.
Sure, immortality's pretty neat and all (Feel free to make Silk an immortal elf without her knowing it :p), but it doesn't really seem to offer much, if anything, for a diplomat.
Again, I don't know the setting so I could be completely wrong here, but choosing for the necromancy seems a pretty loud and obvious side to pick and could seriously complicate diplomacy in the future (I'm assuming the religous PC isn't the only person in the realm who dislikes necromancy).
And in return, you gain what? Staying power in combat? That's nice and all, but that's not really your thing, right?

Again: completely unfamiliar with the game, rules or setting, but it sounds like you're sacrificing friendship/alliance and something you're good at to become mediocre (at best) at something at something you don't even like...
Doesn't sound like much of a plan.

And I find the necro's appearance and offer of help and alliance suspiciously convenient, but that might just be all the Shadowrun influence seeping though.

PS: Don't want to be pushy and understand if you're busy and all, but is it me or has the game been put on pause? Or are you waiting for us to act?

Edit: Ninja'd as I'm writing this... Seems really inapplicable, feel free to ignore.

Games on hold I'm afraid, too much work, im just taking a break (its midnight)

There was more to the necromancers appearance, itd just have been superfluous to this.
Most/All religions hate necromancy and in a Crusades era-like setting religion is everywhere.
He wants the durability because people keep trying to kill him, theres been no avoiding any combat I've ended up in, in which i'm vastly out powered, so far he'd been lucky, but as I said in the last one he was badly, almost fatally wounded. He's getting paranoid and it's only getting more dangerous.

As for the rest this is why im seeing if you can think of anything hideable

How would anyone recongize that your character has no heart, as long as you don't run around naked...

Is it possible to a get a damage taker? I have read that in a fantasy novel once, your body is immortal because all the damage you take is relocated to a damage taker. In the book, it was a statue, somewhere in a hidden dungeon. Ever 10 years the character had to repair the statue with magic and gypsum or clay.
Disadvantage: If someone damage the statue, the damage is relocated to the character.

And going from harmless diplomat to anything up the food chain, wont? I understood that you want to go from B2 to at least B5 over night? Otherwise, spent Karma, train sword fight and wear more Armor.

alternativ 1: always carry a bottle of fake blood with you. As diplomat, you should have acting-skills like: screaming-in-agony or begging-for-mercy.

alternativ 2: As a diplomat, convince other people (a mob of mindless minions, i.e. NPCs farmer and miners) to fight for (and specially infront of) you.

If there's such a burning inquisition and fanatical religion groups our there, I'm not sure if you can keep it all hidden enough. Still sounds like a lot of people would frown on it and as  word would spread quickly about what you're done/become; closing a lot of (social/dilomatical/peaceful) doors and throwing you through more violent ones.

Okay, up until now you've been in a lot of hard and threatening fights, survived with some luck and gotten wounded... but how many more fights could you be thrown into again in the future, because of the necromancy, that perhaps could have been avoided if you hadn't taken the easy way out.
I understand he's getting paranoid, but how much more paranoid will he have to be when everyone has an actual legitimate reason to want him to burn because of what he's become?

That said, if you're set on going on with it... concealable necromancy?
If something which normally kills you suddenly leaves you alive and kicking, people are going to notice. A bone casing around the heart, lungs and/or organs so they're a lot harder to wound pr having them regenerate almost instantly could be well hidden, but it'll be noticed the second someone sticks a dagger in your back and you just turn around to see what happened there.

So I'm guessing things that help you avoid being wounded. Like SR's Improved Reflexes; vampires get more IP's too and are hyper fast in pretty much all vampire stories. Dodge quicker, attack faster; more damage out, less damage in, good all the way. Just keep yourself in check, never overdo it. If you're parrying and attacking with high speed and accuracy without taking it into extremes, you're just an extremely skilled fighter, "if I hadn't seen it for myself, I'd have said it was impossible!". but If you're dodging like the agents from The Matrix, it'll be obvious that you're not really human anymore.
How/why it works? Heightened senses on all fields, allowing you to feel the wind an enemies movement creates as he swings his sword, to hear the arrow swishing through the air, smell the enemy standing behind you... and a better muscular and nervous system I guess.

Hm, almost 2AM and out of whisky, time for bed.
