Huh. I'd never even thought of legitimate licenses for your SIN.

OK, fast answer but open to adjustment.
A mercenary is only licensed to carry combat gear when on the job -- not as an all the time everywhere authorization.

I can see a couple of (legit) ways to run this. Option one, you get temporary licenses as part of a contract. Option two, you get permanent licenses for some things that have the restriction of "when on contract".

The advantage of the second is that there's some wiggle -- some things you might be able to carry all the time; some things on any valid contract; some only if specifically authorized under contract. The disadvantage is it's a bit complex and we'd need to nail details so you don't get burned by an assumption.

If those work I'll hammer out some details -- and I'm open to your contribution.

About. the licenses themselves, thwy might be anulled, be viable just for certain corps so forth. V. Has no weapon, just the armour, so shevs ould be able to get in.
My idea was to give a tip to the sec force that there have been some hints about an attack and we are just extra hands with a priority.

Well, the basic merc license should still be on the rolls given how recent your history's been. It's a foreign (non-CAS) license with no associated contract.

If you want to try it we'll see what plays out. (GM smile)

While this is mainly for SICHR, I think you all need to know.

I'm not going to post the thresholds, and I'm going to do the rolls. At least one of the items is either very hard to find or it doesn't exist, and I don't want to give you all an unearned clue by knowing which reason it is you're not finding it.

What I will do is point out that since it's a matrix wide search the threshold intervals are 1 minute for data searches.

Sichr, I need you to break that data search list into individual elements. Example: ABG resources, ABG media profile, and so forth. I need you to prioritize it in which order you want it searched, and tell me how many rolls you'll make on each.

I also need a couple of clarifications.
I need you to explain what you mean by resources, and I need you to give me a better search than "possible links to shadowy resources."

Resources could be physical inventory or financial status or personnel or sources of funding or, well, that list goes on.
As for possible links to shadowy resources, no. No grab bag clues. Give me an idea of what sort of shadowy resources you're looking for. This, by the way, is the biggest of the reasons for the secret roll. Are there shadowy resource connections and you just didn't roll high enough, or are there none and you just wasted several minutes (or hours) looking for what isn't there? I don't want you to know. (grin).

Forgeries. Once you find some (physical or matrix data, I'm not quite that evel a GM) so you know what you're copying I'll tell you thresholds and intervals. You'd know, so secret rolls wouldn't be required.

thx. Ill think about the priority list for every task, will send you an update. Until then, what I meant by:
Resources: Funding, financial resources, sponsors and donors...basic nature and legal status of the organization? NGO? Bussiness? Some kind of foundation?
Shadowy resources: press and other media remarks on suspicious funding, names of sponsors in annual report somehow connected to quasilegal or ilegal sphere (may also require some etiquette rolls), cross references with shadowrunner hangouts for possible indications of secret research operations, significant disproportion between funding and results, blogs and community servers mentioned some strange events connected to this subject

this is the basic, Ill see where it leads...and maybe more...idn, Im not as smart as Bypass is...at least I have more time to think about it

well, Ive updated my post, sequence of queries now reflects the priorities...IMO some tasks will take less time than others (for instance Public research result will be such a querry)...
And for the Exterminatrs I will also call "meine Nachtmachen freunde", just to ask if he didnt heard anything on the international radical scene about them...
