Certainly not a new character by any means, but it is my account's namesake and is totally a Prime Runner now. Play him at home, not Missions stuff. Reading this will take awhile, and is thus not recommended for those with limited time or patience.
NOTE: There is an Ork version and a Dwarf version. This is the Dwarf version, and our Shadowrun world allows elves and dwarves to "Goblinize" violently as well. This character did. the Ork version is one for a world where that can't happen...as what i have read seems to disallow it. Elves and dwarves are born that way as far as I can tell.
Other creative license with this character in the mythos of our world is immediately obvious in the shadowtalk section of the sheet.
== Description ==
Medium length black hair, usually in a small ponytail or hanging loose; partially paralyzed right hand since 2071; Unusual eye color; Small even for a dwarf.
Wears an ostentatious Zoe suit custom built specifically for him, which can change it's color on command but is usually in red and black with arcane symbols adorning the shoulders. When on a job but not in disguise, the symbols fade away and the red becomes more muted.
== Background == (Yes this format is ripped from 10 jackpointers. Very perceptive of you.)

Subject 36MS92 is an Awakened dwarf with a fearsome level of skill for one so young. He already outstrips many of our sponsored mages, and has written several of his own spells, some of which seem to overcome limitations on magic that were to date believed insurmountable. These innovations largely center on calling large masses from nothing and on masking the effects of magic use from the naked eye with spells that are ordinarily quite overt. Subject 36MS92 is extremely familiar with all manner of magical theory and threats, especially Manipulation-class manifestations and spontaneous magic. He is also well-versed in the Universal Magical Theory, and it is believed that he is a member of a completely personal variant hermetic tradition. Forensic analysis suggests Subject 36MS92 is currently more potent than any magician we currently have on staff, casting forth powerful effects that would function in the deeps of space and then quickening them with no residual traces of mental effort or strain. Indeed, some tasks attributed to him would cause most of our mages to leak their brains out of their noses. Perhaps he practices blood magic?
Subject 36MS92 came to our attention due to the Tlaloc satellite incident; his team is suspected of being behind the complete destruction of Sojourner and the Tlaloc satellite. He is currently red-flagged as extremely dangerous in almost all crime databases. Despite this, he is relatively mild, and is not known for excessive violence on the job unless his personal safety is overtly threatened.
>BLOOD MAGIC!!!!!?

WHAT THE FRAG ARE THEY THINKING!!!??? Oh...wait...I happen to know how to "borrow" power from my friend mages to cast these spells they see me hurling without noticeable drain, right.

>If you want to keep all your skin in one place, Mason, you might want to keep your head down for awhile. Knowing you, though, you're like as not going to stick it back out and let all the idiots take a swing at you. Sigh. All right, you know where my clinic is. Come stop by next time you get your hoop shot up.
>Butch
>I am quite alarmed by how much they know, now. Also, I am flattered that they are worried so much about all my progress. I mean, it's not like I'm at all talented in magic or anything...
>Mason
>Show-off. I know mages that can burn you to ash with a wave of their hands. Don't be so totally confident all the time, Mason. You could set a girl to worrying.
>Lyran
>Oooh, Lyran, are you digging on the newbie?
>/dev/grrl
>D-don't be silly, it's nothing like that!
>Lyran
>Heh. Good luck. New guy can't seem to pull his nose out of his books for more than the time it takes to do one run. Probably why half his team got geeked.
>Kane
>[whisper] How come you never stopped by my shop yet, Mason? I still have that thing you wanted. Do I have to come to you? I know where you live...*wink*[/whisper]
>Lyran
>...Why do I associate with you people? oh, and Kane? If you value your current form, you will watch how you address me, ere I ensure your continued existence on the nearest lilypad. [whisper]All right, Lyran, i'll be by in 20. I had merely forgotten. You up for dinner tonight?[/whisper]
>Mason
>[whisper]Of course! Let me just finish checking on my orichalchum. Can't afford for it to go bad.[/whisper]
>Watch it, newbie. I eat drekheads like you for breakfast.
>Kane
>All right folks, that's enough derailing the thread. I am closing comments on this section until further notice-and no threats on my forums, or else!

Background
Born in a London hospital, Maxwell is the victim of the one in a million chance of being mixed up with another baby and given to the wrong mother. Much more unusually and possibly unique in the Sixth World, this mistake was not discovered until just over 9 years later. Even MORE unusually, he Awakened and underwent UGE out of womb, causing his surrogate parents to disown him. Soon after he dropped off the grid. He turned up later in the London Charity Orphanage of St. Jude, where he grew up with a sketchy education and attempted Catholic indoctrination. He eventually left London for an education at MIT&T. He dropped out just after of acquiring his 4 year degree in 2066 and reappeared as Mason in connection to the Tlaloc incident. Rumors hinted of Mason all along the west coast of north America, and several documented incidents are suspected of being linked to him, but as yet his astral signature is not on file in reference to him and so proof remains inconclusive. He published several unique spells, titled Shard, Meteor, and Urban Renewal respectively; they have been classed as Type R Combative spells, and is restricted knowledge in most North American authorities. It is suspected he has written several other spells. The Urban Renewal spell is classed as Type F combative magic, and has been used to level a skyscraper-nearly killing Mason in the process, if our reports are accurate.
>Sad, but true. I was raised as a high society prig until their prejudices hit a peak when I became both a hated magician AND an unclean dwarf. My 'mother' just about hung herself. They know all this because I have a legal SIN, and somewhere along the line they connected it to my alter-ego. I may have to change my appearance permanently now... Ended up on the streets, and had to learn where my real folks were (dead) and learn how to survive.

Impact Assessment
Mason does not appear to be any threat to the Dawkin's group as long as it does not take any direct action against his contacts or teammates. Should he perceive the Dawkins Group as his enemy, he has the power, resources, and influence to be a real threat to minor to medium operations. Current considerations are how to recruit Mason as a spell researcher.
Current Activities
Mason appears to spend most of his time deep in study or performing small runs in the Seattle Area. He lives a cushy life, and is remarkable easy to find in his apartment in Auburn should it prove necessary to recruit or to neutralize him. Approach with extreme caution, as he has single-handedly decimated squads of cleaners.
== Concept ==
Mason is a powerful sorcerer who spends most of his time with his books. When he is doing something else, it is invariably work, hanging out with a girlfriend, or going to a bar to meet interesting people.. Like so many mages, his work is his life, and dominates almost all of his time. He is not antisocial, however, and has been known to come forward as the leader of his team when the group's regular front (wo)man is not available.
He wishes above all to become as wealthy as he once was, and thus not have to continue to live in the squalor he has fallen into. To the end, he runs the shadows, and makes forward payments on his bills. He has already achieved this goal, and now spends most of hs time trying to achieve a permanent lifestyle at the level he desires and continuing his research into proscribed combative and manipulative spells.
His greatest fear is that his power and wealth will corrupt him, turning him aside from the path that he should follow and towards a path he should not.
Despite his power, Mason has been afflicted with bad luck all of his life, and even those around him seem affected by it at times. His Bad luck led him to all the events of his early life which are so very very unlikely.
