Edited for Urban Brawl submission using UmaroVI's advice.

Name: Conrad Johnson
Alias: J
Race: Human
Sex: Male
Nationality: UCAS (Of Japanese ancestry but he doesn't know)
Lifestyle: Street
Karma Spent: 0/0
Physical Description: A tall, slender man, with rather attractive features behind a thick beard, he doesn't shave unless he has to. Brown hair, blue eyes and usually a severe expresion of thoughtfullness thats often mistaken as scheming. His foci are two rings on his left hand, left to him by his dad.
Personality/background He had a good gig going. Was part of magical security for the main SK-P building in Seattle. He dealt with runners sometimes too, so he's heard the old "bottom line wasn't hit bad so let 'em live" line before. He was about to get his firearms training too. That all fell apart when his own Father was caught on camera in a maximum security lab, then vanished. All forensic evidence pointed at his father, even Conrad was forced to admit the signature was his father. "But how!?" He'd pleaded, "He's a fisherman, not even awakened!? How'd he get in!?"
Something important was stolen, something that hit the bottom line too hard and Conrad was laid off. With all his corporate bridges burned from suspicion he was lost.
Luckily he bought the right man a drink recently and the conversation quickly turned to making money. Good thing too, he just got evicted.

I don't think this character is actually bad and I assume you were trying to intentionally play down, so you may want to take only some or none of the optimization advice.

You don't really use Logic for much of anything. I would drop Logic to 3 and get more of something more useful like Willpower.

Banishing is terrible crap, and you would be better off buying Summoning and Binding separately if for no other reason than removing the temptation to risk melting your face off for no good reason.

Not having spellcasting 6 makes me sad inside.

Don't have Dodge and a melee skill. I assume you have Blades for GRORIOUS NIPPON reasons and don't want to drop that, so I recommend dropping Dodge for Gymnastics which lets you do more useful stuff as well, like pretend to be a ninja as well as pretend to be a samurai.

Astral Combat is terrible. You can just Stunbolt people in astral combat and it's far more effective than you could ever hope to be with Astral Combat silliness.

Ignite is an utterly terrible spell. I cannot imagine any practical use for it. Please drop this for a better spell.

Armor LOOKS like a good spell but it makes you glow like a huge I AM A MAGE PLEASE KILL ME FIRST THX beacon. Combat Sense is a much less bad spell and if you're going to take a defensive spell it should be that.

I'm assuming you're passing on the obvious power options of restricted gear force 4 power focus and FFBA on purpose, but in case you aren't they are obvious power options for a reason.

Rating 2 sustaining foci are not a really good idea. I would get a single rating 3 one or just not get either and pick those foci types up later. Illusion in particular is rather worthless, because 2 hits on illusion spells won't fool much of anything.

If you're going to go with Blades for proper weaboo-ing, it really doesn't make sense to only have one weapon and have it be a giant unsubtle two-handed sword. I suggest picking up a ceramic knife (which you can sneak in and hold in your hand for melee defense), forearm snap blades (for similar "so you always have a melee weapon in hand so you can get melee defense" purposes), and if you are feeling fancy consider getting a Gentleman's Cane (from Attitude) with a vibrosword.

Indeed

You don't really use Logic for much of anything. I would drop Logic to 3 and get more of something more useful like Willpower.

I plan to get him more Foci later and Arcana, it was cheaper to buy it now.

Banishing is terrible crap, and you would be better off buying Summoning and Binding separately if for no other reason than removing the temptation to risk melting your face off for no good reason.

I was trying to think what the corp would have taught him but good point.

Not having spellcasting 6 makes me sad inside.

Me too... but he's just not that good.

His Co-Workers got him it as a joke and he is not an agile person.

Astral Combat is terrible. You can just Stunbolt people in astral combat and it's far more effective than you could ever hope to be with Astral Combat silliness.

I know >.< again, what would the corp want on a resume.

Ignite is an utterly terrible spell. I cannot imagine any practical use for it. Please drop this for a better spell.

Will probably swap for Hot Potato.

Armor LOOKS like a good spell but it makes you glow like a huge I AM A MAGE PLEASE KILL ME FIRST THX beacon. Combat Sense is a much less bad spell and if you're going to take a defensive spell it should be that.

It may be to make someone else the beacon.

I'm assuming you're passing on the obvious power options of restricted gear force 4 power focus and FFBA on purpose, but in case you aren't they are obvious power options for a reason.

yup but aiing towards FFBA in game.

Rating 2 sustaining foci are not a really good idea. I would get a single rating 3 one or just not get either and pick those foci types up later. Illusion in particular is rather worthless, because 2 hits on illusion spells won't fool much of anything.

Look again, my sustaining is F.3, the others are spellcasting.

Aiming t this in game

Thanks UmaroVI!

Those being spellcasting foci makes me weep openly. You are paying 60000Y and 4 bp for +2 to two types of spells. You could just pay 50000Y and 2 bp for +2 to everything with a power focus, and it only takes up one foci slot.

I LOVE Armor! I put it on the Adept and tell him to sic the bad guys in melee!

I use Stealth Armor on myself, a non-glowy custom version of Armor that has a little more Drain. Still lights up the Astral though. Not all GMs will allow that, though, so YMMV.
