Hello Everyone,

I have a player who wants to create a technomancer and needs some reference sources.  I suggested, then main SR4 book, Runner's Companion and Unwired.  Does anyone else have any other suggestions?

You may want to look in Augmentation, as Technomancers don't lose anything for getting a bit wired. You may want to suggest to your friend to try playing a hacker first, if they are new, as technos can be harder to play. In any case, do you just want resources for building a technomancer or would you like some suggestions to pass on to your friend on how to make an effective technomancer?

BBG, same question. If you're looking for official sources I think you've got them. If you want suggestions and guidance several of us have advice.

I think the hardest part of playing a TM is starting out always feels extremely limited, so it's worth pointing out that it's not unusual. If this is an experienced player, they be wondering if they're doing something wrong compared to a cybergeared hacker.

Many TMs utilize drones, so putting a Rigger Cocoon (from Arsenal) into a vehicle/drone is worth mentioning, as well as any drone-related upgrades

A TM takes a long (sometimes very long) Time to develop and the Build needs to be very concentrated towards Hacking to be effective.
I'm playing a Dronomancer.At Least I try to but I have to fulfill the other Duties as a Hacker (datasearch, Datatransfer & Manipulation, Matrixbattles,Kamera manipulation,etc) too often
