Mouse with a taser gun. This should be interesting. I am assuming Mouse is at the van. I kind of lost track. Mouse would have stayed in the van upon "request" or he would be sticking with Unca Omar right now. The van would allow Mouse to be in full VR (even if he has to use his satellite uplink.) That would make sense so that Omar could make his call to Diamond unless our com links can still reach the matrix w/o it.

Either way he will monitor for Lone Star signals as they will probably be on their way shortly.

IMO this aint dead zone, and we have signal 5 devices, so that is some 4 km reach. But your satelite uplink is really good thing.

I don't think we are in a dead zone; it's just that there's very few signals being received by our 'links, that's all.
I know it was me who brought the term, but it's just that Fractal is used to a little bit more electronic noise than that.

Sam is waiting to be helpful to Fractal just so you know.  ;)
And Moues and taser gun. Interesting, might he want a duel?  ???

seeing this:
...
Gangers. How does this fraggers even survive?

...

Fractal can't avoid thinking that, if all the 3Kings guys are so reasonable as these ones, then Kirillov was a fool to want them on his side so much. Hell, how did these guys became the major force in the area, and how does they survive without a patron?
...

and this:

Omar watches Mark leaving the scene in haste, too frwhen he sits back to frightened to even react on his call...
Idiots and cowards. Well this gang is real award for Vory.
...

Makes me wonder.

You already forgot how you were mopping the floor with gangers in the last few runs?
On comparison this guys are somewhere around 200-250 BP? How tough would you be at this level? Maybe we should start over at 200 BP to teach you?

Their strength is always in number. A gun is a gun and Ares predator does 5P regardless of who's wielding it. They aren't much worse or much better to a street level Triad member, Vory thug or Mafia enforcer, so they can act as equal against anyone elses thugs. Kirillov will have another 5000 BuildPoints in his sindicate if you succeed for 30 thousand nuyen, that seems about right price.

That of course doen't give the gangers right to act senseless or plain stupid. They each have their motives. In Mark's case, he plainly was affraid of Tony. That and Omar being a charisma-monster calling out was as well received invitiation for talk as a pointed shotgun.

That's just OOC for discussion. IC will follow, as soon as I finish some (yuck) work.
Sorry for a small delay ;)

All my IC posts are written through Fractal eyes, and he is a brainer, not a brawler. As Omar so politely has put on the Trash the Body Electric Run "he couldn't take a shit without planning first". Obviously he would think low of this guys.

I know that the gangers strenght is in it's numbers, and that they are all deep into tension so that they would not think so much, but that's something Fractal would definitely see as weakness.

I was thinking, If they act so completely unrelated to reality from your (players) perspective that you assess them so as a runner.

They should be perceived as weak individually, but I don't think if judging them as weaklings as a gang is correct. Omar doesn't have gang's knowledge, so he might act based on his Lagosian experiences, but Fractal should know better. 25 guns with an advantage of own ground can be a force to recon.

You aren't in the dead zone. The wifi coverage could be better, but it's good enough so you don't have any modifiers on that account.

Same about Omar. He understands the reality of Gang life, in fact, he grew up in one such in Festac town. Well this doesnt matter anymore, and as Fractal says, IC posts are what character is thinking...Omar being Igbo, he cannot but disdain someone showing fear and weakness. He never underestimates ganges, knows what they are capable of, knows their strenghts...when you shot one of Area Boys in Lagos, you can expect 2 thousands of them swarming around in 5 minutes...8 year boys with AK97s...on the warpath, killing anybody who gets in their way. Expressions are just part of the roleplay, but are not exactly what goes in characters mind...like...when I say my boss is idiot, it doesnt necesary mean I dont respect his professional qualities  ;D

You should underscore that in case he monitors the traffic :D and remove softeners like necessary, cause they put a doubt on the truthfulness of your statements :)

1) IDN what softeners mean...at least in english i dont have the right feeling for this IMO :)
2) We sound like barking without teeth on this Tommy guy, well dont you want to try some social skill test against Fractal? He can be very persuasive, you know...and when words are not enought, skills came to play...

I was thinking about that few rounds ago. Fractal's doing great job in his posts. The problem is with what I tried to tell you in his last response. You didn't really offered him any alternative. A simple "don't go" and some vague hints about possible solutions just isn't enough.

Unless you wave a gun and intimidate him to stay (Intimidation), call you got broken tire (Con), order him to sit off the bike (leadership) or offer  him something material to convince him over (negotiate) - there is no need to roll, as I wouldn't really know how to interpret the result.

Softeners - thing that make other things seem softer than they are. The marked above is softener. Basicaly you say that wehn you say your boss is an idiot you really mean it usually, just not always, hence it doesn't necessary mean that. It is enough that you can't be take into court for throwing names. But it is enough to get the feeling and be fired from the job under next possible occasion ;P

To be politically correct, you should write (just in case you expect your boss to monitor traffic) that when you say your boss is idiot, you still respect his professional qualities, not that you have on occasion called him idiot publicly.

I understand that, but as I said, Fractal really don't respect this as power. He will not be challenging them for a fight (well, at least not right now), but he truly believes that, even if the situation calls for it, it's not reasonable to shoot at the team, and that few words can tell the gangers that.

All in all, he really think it's stupid to act without a little bit of strategy, specially when the gang is on the verge of collapsing; that's why he thinks as he thinks.
