Thats all right. But until then you have only your commlink node encrypted.

All other unless I got encrypt program in the runner card are considered open.

I know this game may be close to IRL some times, but you really suppose that every hacker player is system engineer? You asked for it, Id try to do something like you want to, but IMO that is beyond my ability to do it really good and inpenetrable. IMO this is far away from what shadowrun was supposed to be: fun...

errr. sorry if Im not participating for some time, i need to defuse...

Advanced encryption applies only on nodes, not traffic. Still, encrypted node means you cannot access it without cryptoanalysis done, so the closest possible hack, if any of our nodes is 6 hours away. IDN what bout technos. This, and temporarily switching off the node from time to time and change AcessID...must be enought for now.

Shouldn't be important, but Fractal's links aren't encrypted that heavily. He just reappeared, and there was no socializing between you in his downtime (at least if I recall correctly from the ICs)

[...]

as a homework for the technoguys, that should be done in ooc, I'd like you (Sichr and Snake) to draw a logic map of your network, including programs, drones and cyberware including the privilidges levels, and what they allow.

What's this advanced encryption that you got, and how did you get it? Where do I find it?

Unwired.
It about running Encryption for the node or file for longer period. Max is 24 hrs IMO, but it could be minutes....
when it is done, you have the node encrypted, and interval for cryptoanalysis changes from 1 IP as usual to that period. In our case it was 6 hours.
Id really need to run visio and draw a map. May I Please ask everybody..Post your comunication device stats here, so I got it brief at hand. Thanx.

Sichr I really thought it out as a fun part. Much like devising upgrades for runner. Or drawing plans for a freshly acquired safehouse for a team. I used the work homework but if you at any point find it tedious job like and generally non fun - just leave it.

well, it would be better to do this in the off time, not on the mission, but when you look at my last updates...like upgrading everyones commlink etc, Its good job for me, Just  not the right moment. Since I had every commlink o, except for Fractals, in my hand, I was calculating them all,1. Hardened, 2. Encrypted. I need to read that encryption part, because IDN if you need to have encryption running and if the level of encryption depends on response.
For the previous debete over Firewall..I lived with the idea that no program, even System or Firewall, you cannot be running on higher level than your devices response is.

Response limits number of programs. It decreases as you load them. But rating of the program is limited by system.
You need to have encrypt running.

There is no hurry in that. It was sparked by your action, but I can certainly wait. It's all part of the game for me so I donKt consider it bad moment.

IMO response limits also program rating...that is what Program Optimization 1-3 is for, to be abel to run higher rating programs on lower rating devices...

We both were right, but you were more right than me :D

Response
Response is the processing power and speed of the device’s hardware.
Response is used for Matrix Initiative (p. 236). Response is negatively
affected when you run too many programs.

System
System measures the power of the device’s operating system (OS)
software. This includes its stability, multitasking properties, ability to
control hardware, resources, and the general quality of its code. If the
System software ever crashes, the entire device crashes. System limits
the rating of programs running on the device
, and sets the limit on most
devices for the number of programs that can be run without a Response
drop. The System program is limited by the base Response rating of the
device it is on
: if the base Response rating of the device is lower than the
System rating, then the System rating is set to equal the Response rating.
System also sets the size of the Matrix Condition Monitor of persona
programs running on the device (Cybercombat, p. 236).

When someone hacks the front ganger coms, you can not only place the fake message, bit also hijacking their smartgun. Discharging a weapon at this time will bring the fronts in bad light.
Prepare for the worst, hope for the best and expect nothing!

I meant her escort. They had hidden coms, right?
Sam is against violance, but if thete is war, he will fight for the 3K.

Meaning, Sam would protect Tony, Maria if the fronts stsrt a attack
