It's a cheap place, and can be useful. Fractal has not think of how yet, but I'm assume he would keep it. (I have even considered that he paid his 1/4 of the rent).

Also, about the rent: Sent, for simplicity sake, would you consider that the "renting month" starts at July the1st, so that all our lifestyles so far start and end at the same duration? (Sam, Fractal and Omar all were introduced to this mission about a month ago, gametime; Mouse is living with Omar, if I gathered it right, and Lips will join us on the beggining of the next mission, on July the 1st)

Just s a idea -  we might actually pool our resources and get a HQ
something like the base Chrona is in, if you have been reading Messy Biz.
almost no human presence, danger, good fortification, self improved, so on. no one except us knows where it is

Another thing, this time about the chummer file: I've "ported" Fractal sheet to Chummer almost perfectly (there were two avaliability mistakes which I just solved, and they are of no consequence since they never came into play, and my primary Lifestyle cost had a little mistake by which I was paying more than I should; both things are fixed now), but there's a bug in Chummer in which it keeps putting a System upgrade as avaliability 16, when the book says it has no avaliability rating. Because of that, I can't save it as a "created" character and go on to the advancement section.

As soon as I fix it, I send the file to you.

might be some kind of errata, dunno, but in my experience Chummer has almost always been correct even if I thought i am the correct on

to the specializations thopics...Lot of bullshit. Nothing else to say but this:

BUYING SPECIALIzATIONS
Characters may also acquire a specialization to an existing Active Skill
or Knowledge Skill that they currently possess. (You cannot specialize
on a new skill you’re currently learning.) Acquiring a Specialization
costs 2 Karma. A character may only know one specialization per skill,
and specializations may not be applied to skill groups.
A character that wants to change her specialization in a particular
skill may do so at the gamemaster’s discretion.
In this case, the char-
acter pays 2 Karma to learn the new specialization and immediately
loses the old one.

GM discretion.. OK. But it means that you should jjudge thisby the situation, character developement (with posible changes in use of resources etc.) and other consequeces, not simply ban it forever.
If Sam wants a new specialization for Pistols and he never holded pistol in his hand, that I would understand is impossible. But forbidding him to get the specialization after lets say..month he is using just a pistol and not a taser I would call useless bullying. How does it damage the game? Would it throw whole game out of ballance, if someone begins to use pitols instead of tasers?
BTW...IDN if its RAW, but IMO there is something in rules that say that no chaaracter improvements are possible during the run, only in meantime. Which would make this "switching there and back again" argument pointless

RAW:
Advancement takes place in the interim game time between ses-
sions, sometimes called down time. Characters may not spend Karma
to improve skills, attributes, or abilities in the middle of an adventure.

Taser is a type of Pistol, first off all.
i am not that disapointed,  just let Sent do as he wishes.
better say what you think about the safehouse.

Easy Kour, it's down time, let me have my own share of fun in discussions with Sichr.

GM discretion.. OK. But it means that you should jjudge thisby the situation, character developement (with posible changes in use of resources etc.) and other consequeces, not simply ban it forever.

Actually yes. I do perceive taking specializations as strategic choice much like investing in skill or attributes. Changing specializations after one month, changes the balance. It doesn't change it much in the tasers vs semiauto case, but it does in case of combat vs healing spells or hacking exploit vs decrypt. Mostly because of things that happen mid-runs - changing to healing becasue team member got hurt, or changing to cracking because you found a piece of encrypted file, that takes week to decrypt.

I understand what's GM discretion mean. I could probably accept changing specialization if you work on the subject enough (at least the amount of time necessary to get a skill at the current level - like relearning level 4 pistols in Sam's case). BUT, it's much easier for you to assume, that I just forbid it, and you might call it a useless bullying.

We are progressing at the weekly rate. It does make switching argument pointless, but the changing PhDs are still in place it's just the matter of interval. I am telling you that missions, however intensive and time consuming in RL are taking weeks only in game time, and there is simply not enough time for such changes.

also

RAW:

sions, sometimes called down time. Characters may not spend Karma

I think that it is fun to see you character develops, and we are playing for months of real time. Regardless of the above (of which I wasn't aware honestly) I am awarding you Karma in the middle of the run that you CAN spend on things that do not require time - like attributes, specializations, qualities.
Sorry for a small delay ;)

pistol shooting SNS munition is basicaly a taser right? Just like my Yamaha Pulslar
but still the taser spec should not work at least IMO.

I agree that specialisations should be earned, that's why i am bringing this up only after completing 3 missions not after the first one, as this idea is a old one for me. the 4 dart Clip is like having a handbrake stuck on while racing.

it's a pity, but i see your point, and if you say it that way, so shall it be.

That's not really same - there is a difference in range, and bullets speed so it's true that the spec wouldn't work.
as far as the 4 dart clip, how changing to Cavalier? it's weaker by one point of damage but with two clips, you could pack there 12 shots, and it has built in laser sight

p.s. who is for keeping the safe house, as i can loan some cash as my pistol is just too longterm to find.  :-\

Sam - Keeping but only for team purposes.
Omar - ?
Mouse - ?
Fractal - Team purpose.

2/4 for keeping

By the way, are there any way to change or get rid of the neg qualities?

you could invest to remove poor condition, MAYBE you could convince three kings to find themselves another crashpad. As for the lonestar infiltrated - it would require a hacker run or sprite service to clear records on this location from Lonestar archives.
