I would guess that Mouse would be with Unca Omar, so Mouse wouldn't want to zone out right there to hack their com links. I was thinking that if I had already hacked their system I could go in via AR. Anyway, no point crying over lost cheese, so I will record what I hear and see to my com link and turn up the mic on the com link and record from there as well. Maybe with the two recordings I can decipher what was said. I'm hoping to get a good facial shot of the lady for possible background search.

Omar's outburst turned few heads of the Vory thugs toward you. The girl backed even more "I see ... " she turns toward Sam "Please help me. Meet me there before the morning." she passes you an AR with an address signed Maria and leaves quickly.
"Ok, I will be there." Sam said while storing the data in his comlink
Scant seconds after she turns the corner out of the alley one of the shestiorka comes out into the alley.
“Good, you’re all here. The boss has some more work for you, go inside.” The errand-runner holds the door open for you. Unlike many of the Vory you’ve seen so far, this kid who is barely sixteen obviously grew up in the streets of Denver. His accent and clothes reek of Aurora, even though he has recently showered.
Sam looked around, he was not sure what to think about this new guy in the door, but he gave a positive response " Yeah we are on our way."  But just to be on the Safe side he looks around a bit .

Prepare for the worst, hope for the best and expect nothing!

make astral perception roll.

Astral perception roll is: 7d6.hits(5) → [2,3,1,1,6,5,4] = (2)
Ryker is in astral and will not be joining the group at this point in the meat. I am keeping eyes on all things astrally. I look at the one awaken being trying to figure out what the hell he is doing there? and What are his intentions? as i cautiously approach astrally towards the building.

Astral plane
You assense the awakened being aura - he is human, with a cybered spine. You'll be able to recognize his aura if you see it again.
He is one of the guards in front of the warehouse (a little to the left). You also see commotion near the entrance where Sam moves toward the doors with other following him.

physical plane
Sam looked around, he was not sure what to think about this new guy in the door, but he gave a positive response " Yeah we are on our way."  But just to be on the Safe side he looks around a bit .

Da....Hey, you! large bald metahuman confirmed to his commlink and shouted at Sam tell that mage of youRS to stop fooling aRounD, Boss don't like snooping ghosts. He goes back, and move his ass heRe like the Boss tolD him to Do, or he will fRy his meat cRispy. large baldmen nodded toward another Russian removing safety from the Striker.

quick radar aided assession of the situation tells Sam, that there are two cybered bojeviks (Vory soldiers) around, three enforcers, Nikolai Kirrilov and shestiorka (fixer) in the doors. All of them are within partial or good cover.

You've been for the money in the warehouse five minutes ago so you know what to expect inside (cranes, crates, enforcers). Though back then you were paid by the baldmen. Now you are to see the boss.
Sorry for a small delay ;)

Sound of Omar`s laugh fades into silence, as he slowly looks at the russian. Barrel of Rover`s hidden LMG copies focus of his view, accepting smartgun assigned targets.
Fractal, we need you here...

It felt good running again. It was a blessing that the guys called Fractal today.

The last weeks he had spend basically in his own artistic pursuits. Even though he made some quite nice works, and that he managed to place them in interesting locations (both through the Matrix and through the more concensual reality), none was so interesting as the one he left at the Bow Mar plant. The rest of the time he spent making some graphical patterns for Inkling to use and enjoying Denver's nightlife.

But he missed the shadows, and the last work was quite impressive. It was really good to be running again with these guys; a pity he couldn't be with them in their last action. Their histories seemed... odd, to say the least.

Fractal though it a little strange to work with a kid, but he didn't let his feelings be perceive; a techie in any group is a valuable acquisition, and as his teammates had taken the boy with them, he just tried to make it easier for him to adapt to his presence.

---

The guy left the van as soon as he heard Omar's laugh. That was a strange omen, and he wanted to know what it meant. And the situation that greeted him seemed tense.

"What's going on here?" Shouts the elf exiting the van, walking towards Omar. His eyes are fixed on the bald guy.

Baldmen did not reply. Shestiorka stepped back.

Easy, Vasyl. Boss have job for them, what will I tell him if they land in the middle of the warehouse with a rocket up in their ass, that you ate too much beans and farted in the wrong direction? Fuck, if you kill them, you explain yourself to him by your own.

And you what, fucking lost your mind? Boss don't like ghosting mages, half of the sioux pigs are mojos. You want that job, you get in in your meat and you move your asses now. Else get the fuck out of here, and take my advice do it before I tell him that you piss on him.
Sorry for a small delay ;)

Mentally turning off the mic on his com link and creating a new file store for the current incoming audio/video feed. Mouse is going to begin work on processing the audio feeds, filtering out noise and distortion firing up an agent loaded with browse and edit to assist, him (all at R4.) Processing this in AR is agonizingly slow, but it will give him something to do while the team negotiates with Da Boss.

Apparently, Unca Omar thought the same way as Mouse about the dame being trouble. But Unca Sam salvaged the unusually rude retort Unca Omar made--she at least seemed willing to give us the benifit of the doubt. While the week had been busy helping Unca Omar, learning some new forms, and spending what little time remaining with Gimmly, is was nothing compared to the week before. Even Gimmly was impressed.

Though this time we picked up a new comer. An elf going by the handle, Fractal. Since Unca's Omar, Sam, and Ryker seem to trust him, Mouse is willing to give him the benefit of the doubt; besides Mouse's curiosity is intrigued by the handle the elf uses. A fractal is a rough or fragmented geometric shape that can be split into parts, each of which is (at least approximately) a reduced-size copy of the whole. The roots of fractals go back to the 17th century, of functions studied by Karl Weierstrass and some others that were based on an equation that undergoes iteration, a form of feedback based on recursion. Useful in medicine, soil mechanics, seismology, and (of course my favorite) technical analysis.
Logic(5)+Mathematics(5)=10d6.hits(5)=4

Sensing from astral space the tense emotions hat are being shown by some of his team members and the vory people. Ryker returns to his body and message to team-
"What's the situation, I noticed a lot of tensions. " then to Sam
" everything alright?" " they do have magic, on their side"

Fractal holds his ground, clearly irritated. If his glasses would not be hiding his eyes, the Vory would know that he is staring at them quite annoyed. In fact, he expects the situation to be solved really quickly, and that's why he does not just enter the warehouse or leave.

A message is sent to all his teammates:

"Here's the deal, guys. This boys are only thugs without a lot of free will and a perchance to look tough; we shall better enter the warehouse to talk to someone he is really a decision-making guy among those fraggers or just leave them talking alone. Either way, we shall walk with a decided and confident pace, as to show them who is who in this drek. Also, either way Ryker would do better to not annoy them astrally. What do you think, guys? We talk to their boss or matter our own bussiness? We can mantain our image doing either. Just decide it fast.

PS.: Omar, you were really great in the situation. Putting Russian-no-hairy-guy in his place, without starting a fight and not losing any face was quite an accomplishment."

Fractal motion as if he is going to make a step forward, but maintaining his posture.

Also using our encrypted channel for this quick team discussion.
Id like to hear what they have to say about the job, well...since we are in good terms with Mafia this may harm our rep. Taking simple courier job is one thing, running serrious operation for Vory is something different. At least we need not to be catched...OK, Fractal, Ill follow whatever you choose, lead the way, but lets dont give them any second look. And we keep our weapons, if we go inside...Mouse...can you go in their coms? We should walk slowly to give you some time...

In addition to this, Omar would like to do one more thing before the situation is solved...he Commands our (if mouse granted me privileges) agent to do the datasearch for intel on that bitch that contacted us. stream capture and that addres attached to the querry. It takes no more than a few seconds, while Fractal is approaching...

Upon hearing chatter from team. Ryker steps out of the van, and slowly but deliberately begins walking to reunite with the rest of the group. Looking at the Vory soldiers and making eye contact with them. The walk is bordering an almost arrogant nature, letting thse soldiers know that he definitely isn't afraid of anything he ha seen. He does not attempt to speak, and will not anwser any comments made his direction.

Without much difficulties Mouse hacked into commlinks of the Vory thugs and soldiers, tapping into their communication and pinpoinitng their location.
Initial search based upon the picture and name 'Maria' got you no results.
Address is within Aurora Warrens. Those of you that has some knowledge on Denver gangs, may think for a while trying to figure out the local politics there.

Before you had time for anything more, Fractal reached doors, still held open by the shestiorka. You entered watched closely, tension heavy in the air.

Inside the warehouse, large men are driving forklifts loaded down with crates. Most of them give off the air of violent convicts. Five meters above you on the catwalk, Nikolai Kirillov strides with confidence. Muscular and scarred, the Vor bears the marks on his arms and face of having fought his way to the top through brute force and unadulterated rage. You have to crane your neck up to look at him as he stops and looks down at you.

I have a real job for you.

I need you to visit one of the street gangs in Aurora and deliver them an offer they cannot refuse. They have just lost a leader and you need to talk to them before anyone else will. I want them to work for me. If they don't, thats well enough also - the other part of your job is to make sure they won't be working for anyone else. And I want it to be bloody, messy and spectacular. You start now. 25 grants for the job. 30 if you take it guns and drugs.

Fractal tries to remember if he heard about any gang which lost it's leader recently in Aurora.
Quote from: OOC
4 (Intuition) + 3 (Underworld Politics) = 7 dice = 4 hits, no glitch

25 grand. That's 5 thousand to each of them. A good pay, in fact. But the bloody, messy part was not to Fractal's like, and he knew the team was not that focused into combat should the need arise.

And could he make the offer be raised? Well, the most important now is to get information on the job.

Looking squarely to Nikolai: "Sounds interesting. But let us talk bussiness, shall we?"

Quote from: OOC
If by any chance Fractal does not reminds which gang is being adressed here, he will ask:
"Which gang is that? And under which circunstances have they lost their leader?"
If he does know, he will continue with a witty remark: "I assume you are talking about (gang name), aren't you?"
