There are a million ways a megacorporation can mess up the life of a whistle-blowing citizen, and for most of them, you should just have the player make a new character rather than dragging a no-escape situation out for him. I would have one of the face's shadier contacts at least give him a warning, though, that he needs to get his SIN erased and go underground, pronto. The hassle of doing that, with all of the payouts and owed favors involved, should be enough to punish him for something that was really the hacker's screwup. Aztechnology will still be after him for awhile, of course - they are usually presented as one of the more vindictive megacorporations. Maybe replace his SINner flaw with Hunted.
I don't think the team will really take as much of a hit - their employer tried to set them up first, so most people will see it as justified. Still, a few people might see them as too "hot" to deal with, at least until the whole incident blows over.
