That does not mean you as a player can give surge to a tiger shapeshifter.

Now get rid of that, and get way of the adept instead. Get improved reflexes 3, critical strike 6, improved ability (unarmed 3), and elemental strike and I don't know great leap say. Now you can be a tiger with flaming claws attacking with 20 ish dice and doing 13 damage on half impact armor. And that only requires 6 magic.

Also get rid of dodge and fly... why on earth do you have fly. Increase your infiltrate, get gymnastics for ranged dodge and making awesome jumps. You should have some more points left because of losing the surge so genetic heratige and get it to get genewipe for 0 essence cost, you know so that people cant find you from all the fur you leave behind. Get erased also, so all the video tapes you your turning in to a tiger vanish within 24 hours. That should keep you from being hunted by chinese pochers, or at least help A LOT.

Genetic heritage gives you a gene mod at no Nuyen cost, but it still costs Essence.  Improved ability is capped at half the skill rating, so he would need to raise unarmed to 6 (which he should do anyways, along with simply raising the Athletics group to 4, while dropping Dodge, which he does not need between having unarmed to block with, and gymnastics for ranged dodge).


This is a character that should definitely be run by the GM.  Lots of grey areas - Karmagen by the basic rules when a lot of GMs use the errata (in the newest books but not online yet), SURGE for a shapeshifter, critical strike and martial arts (capped at +3 DV by the errata, by the way) in conjunction with natural weapons, the rapid healing adept power presumably bought with the assumption that it will add to regeneration rolls (otherwise there is little point to it), attempting to use two-weapon style with unarmed attacks, and a metamagic for adepts of the twisted way.  There isn't much point to creating the ultimate munchkin if you never get to even play it.

Theres plenty of argument for why genetic heratige should be no essence cost. For one consider that you would be conceived with the quality, I don't think it makes sense for something completely natural to have an essence cost given the nature of essence. But whatever that's a discusion for another time.

Yes i thought it was a given that unarmed would go to six. And the thing is that the munchkining you've done doesnt actualy make the charecter that much better or even playable.

I do feel the need to point out that this character wasn't built to be a munchkin.

I wrote up a long (4 page) background story for the character, then built it.
I used the Karma system at the request of the GM, as I'm joining an established game.

The GM has said that they will allow the Surged Shapeshifter, partly because none of his players have tried either, but also because I'm not in control of the shifting, as the character doesn't know what they are.

I'm unsure of the two-weapon style, it has worked for me in the past, but I'm unsure if it's legal with unarmed combat / claws.  If it isn't, I'm more then willing to change it.

The metamagic being twisted is a major story point of the character, and the reason they're missing a number of marbles.
The character doesn't fully understand the power, as they were tricked by a free blood spirit.

The characters history is heavily tied with Aztlan and violance.


I apologise if the character looks a bit munchkinie, it was never my intention.

Now there are some qualities in runners you might like.

Bone spikes +2 unarmed DV for 5 bp
Thorns +1 DV for -1 dice for physical attribute skill tests

Both of those will make everything hate you because you are a freak but u have no con or cha anyways
