Well, considering I thwapped someone else for just such a sort of thing ...

IMO, the main 'mystery guest', the one giving the orders there, was Dunkelzahn himself.  The Big D was not the sort of individual to gather together such a notable crowd for the purposes of commentary just for them to comment among themselves; in previous fiction (when he went to talk to Harlequin, with Frosty there) it was made clear that he wanted to tell the world quite a bit more than they already had, but the Laughing Man talked him out of it.  Doing so 'anonymously', with himself as a supposedly equal victim, is just the right amount of twistiness.

The other guest (IIRC, there's only two) is an otaku -- speaking about 'channels' and all, that's pretty obvious.  Specifically which otaku does not, I think, matter, but considering how many info-pies Dunkelzahn had his talons in, it would not surprise me if he had enough connections with one, or many, otaku who would be willing to do just such a thing for him.  Probably without pay, just on a lark ...

Clockwork is my #1, hands down!

Arleesh is long overdue for some lovin', and I agree that we want to know what Dodger's been up to.

Also, how about Sally Tsung?

Wow, Sally Tsung, that is an old school one.  have not heard much from her sense SR1.

If you do Sally Tsung you might as well do Ghost as well.

We know that Dodger had the whole Morgan/Megera thing and was there when Deus went kerblooey at the Novatech IPO. The chance of survival there is pretty low, but, I hope he lived, if battered. Maybe he's one who got uploaded and he and some shred of Morgan ran off to a private corner of the Matrix and are living happily ever after.

Ghost is either dead or retired ... the world isn't kind to reaction times as you age, and a slow samurai is a dead samurai. Maybe he now serves as a sensei? Passing on lessons to a new generation, since he can no longer do it himself?

As for Sally, she might still be active, sine magic tends to grow, not shrink, as you age, but she's another one that might well be retired at this stage. Maybe a Talismonger, maybe searching for young street mages and gathering them up into some kind of school program?

All pure speculation with no evidence, natch. I just like the idea of them passing on lessons to the next generation. Shadowrun's been around for over twenty years (25 in-game!) and torch-passing is important. Gotta pas sthe love on for a new bunch of newbies, neh?

Hey, come on now, what about Deckers?  FastJack is in his 70s and he's still the best around.  Bull's in his 40s, and is cranky.  :P

But lets face it.  Bull's a fixer now and FJ is running Jackpoint.  They can still throw down, Virtually, but...  They are passing on their knowledge and their expertise in one form or another now.  Wak's got a point.

...which is kinda why I want some canon info on both Sally and Dodger. There are tons of opportunities to put them at important positions 'behind the scenes' somewhere.

Some time in a black clinic in Chiba, and they'll be back to fighting trim and ready for the next half-century!

You miight notice I didn't mention Deckers. :D

But, yeah, there comes a day in everyone's life where it's time to move from the starring role to a supporting role. Some 'Runners retire, some go to teaching, some go legit, while others turn into company men/Johnsons/join organized crime. Others wind up dead or in jail. There're even a few well past their prime who can't give it up, even though they're as much of a burden, now, as a help. They never built up a nest egg, they never had that One Big Windfall, and they need to keep running to pay the bills and upkeep their addiction, be it BTL, booze, or the pure rush that comes from living life on the edge. But their luck has to run out eventually...

Street Legends Supplemental is now out with 10 new characters, including a few from this list.

Including Damien Knight, Slamm-0!, Kane, and Harlequin, plus more.  Good, good stuff here.  :)

Wow, that's a great collection. I was most impressed by the Kane-story; I didn't care much the character before, but that was one nice sale.
And I absolutely love that H has finally a write-up; he's been a fixture of my sixth world since the Harlequin adventure.

As far as I'm concerned, this could become a semi-regular release, every 8 to 10 weeks with 10 new faces from Jackpoint and all over the world.

If sales are decent enough, we'd love to make this a regular thing.  The Freelancers are already lining up who we'd like to do for another one.

And glad you liked Kane.  He was a LOT of fun to write up, and I'm looking forward to seeing where he goes from here. (And I won;t name names to avoid spoilers, but it was also fun to give another Jackpointer some more character at the same time.  I think the two will make a really fun team down the line :)

Still missing the write-ups from Gen-Con, though... ;)

Yeah.  Most of those are good candidates for the next one, if sales warrant another Supplemental.
