As for the gang wars, it's boiling in Aurora, on the higher levels Vory's are pushing around. Koshari are getting nervous about that and so are Mafias. Meanwhile Yakuza is fighting Triads. Just like in the trid.
:D

"I've seen part of this pieces moving in the board, and heard something about the movements I have not seen. A larger conflict seems to be brewing; every side is trying to get to a more advantegeous position or to get stronger." Casually, Fractal adds: "I find it amusing to watch, since by now I don't have a particular liking for any side of the conflict... you, lady, have you cheered or betted for one or another?"

I like to think that the person with manners with roots in this earth is the right one to follow. The Yaks are too alien for me with their nose up in their honor and my-highness approach with gajin. Triads are just unpolished brutes imported under decks of oil tankers, much the same is with Vory only that the latter are usually human. And Mafias with their european selfishness, flashing nuyen right and left in their sport cars while beating people senseless are plain disgusting.

I like it to be in tunnels far from it, but I also like to know what happens above, it's like watching a trid.

I guess I will have to install myself an access.
Sorry for a small delay ;)

"I understand your point of view. But I can't help but think that the current situation is more about being a great time to bussiness than to picking sides."

Fractal leans a little more on the couch, getting himself relaxed. "You know, it does not seem difficult to make an access to this place. Today, installing some retrans units are not so expensive anymore, specially if they need not to transmit in all directions, and some lenght of optic cable would do wonders to the signal here."

0: If there is nothing to be seen: Hey kid...got an idea...want to see the way high voltage fuse works?
Is that anything like connecting a hot dog to a battery? Use the electricity to cook the rat?
Mouse takes a moment to reflect on Unca Omar's idea. He hasn't been himself lately when around Eliza. Some women want to make him "bitch kick" them down the road and others have him acting all gentlemanly like. Mouse finds it confusing.
He has the recipie, but he needs the fire. He tried the stick approach to no avail. Of all the rocks around here, he must not have the right combination--no spark no matter how hard he hits them. I guess there are some approaches that the matrix just can't help with. But now, the light comes on.
Well, I don't think Eliza would appreciate it if we use her battery. Ya' know, the rail car was getting its power from the rail lines. We could rig a "barbeque" there on the tracks.
Unca Omar has a bit of kid left in him after all...no point in wasting it. :D

Fractal thinks for a while on the situation at hand: so their first concern is the hell hound, adn something tells him that feeding the animal is not exactly solving the problem. An idea cross his mind, not the best one, but an idea nonetheless. The only thing is that he does not know if he wants Mouse to listen to it.

@Omar: "Listen, buddy, I don't know what you have in mind right now with this thing about the burnt rat; I don't know a lot about hell hounds, but I believe they are not know for not biting the hand that feeds them; so I'd like us to take some precautions... Here's the deal: I've got with me some doses of Trance, that I've bought during the RMD endeavor. It can put a heavy weighted troll to rest easily enough in a minute, so Fofinho would probably go for a wlk in dreamland fast enough if we spiced his smoked rat with some drops of it. I don't feel too good about doing that, it seems like I'm giving pearls to pigs - or to dogs, for what it matter (By the way, have you tried Trance before? It's really nice), but it's still a way... what do you think? Oh, and don't tell the kid about it. He seems a little too enthusiatic and interested in the dog to react well to this plan."

Seems you are all surprised by Omars behaviour:
Intuition(5)+Willpower(5) (t:2) (10d6.hits(5)=4)
No problem dealing with that bitch ;)
This was prejudice check. Thresshold 2. Otherwise you will have a completely different kind of experience from this meeting :)[/spoiler]

Well, I don't think Eliza would appreciate it if we use her battery. Ya' know, the rail car was getting its power from the rail lines. We could rig a "barbeque" there on the tracks.

Exactly. get your book of recipes and toolbox and lets barbecue this rat.

Since there was mutual agreement on the way to prepare the meat, Omar follows Mouse into the darkness, to the point where abandoned prison car stands. Since whole machee needs general redesign, Omar chses some cabels not necessary for basic operations, and get it ready to l(a)unch.

Here, your first try as a new cook...and you better put your googles on...if you have some...

Omar handles mouse the Power switch, and says before Mouse turns the switch ON:

Too bad you didnt mention that you got some spice before...well if that doesn`t work, I bet load of S`n`S would. It should be interesting one...Dobermann versus Hellhound. Since I dont expect there is pack of them I hope we can handle it. More worried about those spells we may trigger. And the record you still didn`t sent ;) Tell Bob at least that there is complicated labyrinth and it take some time to find out markers due to electromagnetic fluctuations in the area.
Lips, would you be able to give us some edge on those spells?

@Omar: "Hey, I was not the one charged with the reports, my friend! Well, let's see what I can do about it on the meantime..."

Fractal thinks for a little while on the last happenings. After a little while, he sent an archive to all the team members.

Report to Bob [Current Time]
- No more significative happening since the finding of the survivor; we managed to get him some rest after alleviating his wounds, but apart from being physically stable, there's no betterment of his emotional/mental condition;
- The tunnels here (or at least the ones not collapsed) form a strange pattern which we can better describe as a dark labyrinth: searching every corner in order to raise our chances to find all the missing people is taking a huge amount of time, so our progress is now really slow;
- At this distance, we got almost no signal with the surface (and consider that we have put some real good relays on our way down here);
- Our mage has noticed some magical interference (I believe the technical term is background count) on the lower sections of the tunnels;
- Nothing more to report.

@Team: "That's what I managed to report without saying too much. Make alterations if necessary, or correct any mistake I may have made."

As Omar enters the Car, he sees Sam standing up. Sam is not moving like a drunk Troll in a porcelanshop, but still hid movments are nowhere so fluid and smootha as the team is used to see, his fas still visits the painfull side of his expresion scale.
" Ready to move out, or do we still have some issues that need to be adressed?
In truth would not mind if you decided to stick around here a bit more  :-\"
Even his joke is a bit more pain then humor.

Bob's reply was sweating with nervousness: Please hurry it's been hours since they last contacted.

After having roasted the rat an hour or so after you returned to the Eliza's car and ready to go. Eliza helped you with a grapple hook line so you could climb yourself more or less safely to the top of the chams and on the other side of the tunnel. Where you could then in a joined effort pull up the drones. Eliza bids you farewall and returns to her house.

The tunnell shortly after the chasm is turning sharply toward the south and it leads for at least several hundred meters there but the tunnel is slowly turning west again. After the turn it also gets narrower - it's now only a four meters wide. It isn't long before you feel the first patch of confusion.

For the astral sight the wisps of mists that surrounds you in the tunnel, are getting thicker.
There is nothing ahead that you could detect with ultrasound or radar.

Make an Intuition + Intuition roll - respective tresholds are at 2, 3 and 4 hits. Counterspelling act as negative modifier.
The area before you act as Background Count 2

Lips was unable to assense any kind of spell, that could have been responsible for the mana swirl.The drones went in without effect.
So on a self assumed role - Fractal took the point, and went first. He crossed the line, that Lips has marked as a begining of the mana swirl. But he felt nothing spectacular, not even the faster air movement. After him Sam but his pain shrouded mind also didn't register anything.

Quote from: ooc
Fractal scored only 1 hit. Sam only 1 as well

With those two having passed without problems Lips entered the swirl and instanteusly understood the nature of the phenomenon. He was assulted with fear, panic, subconscious, animal like will to flee, a feeling of being stalked. It was a place of murder. Somebody was killed here, and gutted mercislessly. The event  evoked enough emotions from the poor victim that the fleeing souls ripped through the astral plane. That was the source of the increased background count.

Quote from: ooc
Lips scored 3 hits. While the effect was harmless in terms of physical damage, it might result in a few bad dreams the more intuitive one is the more susceptible he is. Counterspelling intutivelly protected Lips from the assault as it was of a magical nature.

The last ones were Omar and Mouse. Warned byt Lips and cloaked in counterspelling, their high intuition seemed to be their voulnearbility. As soon as they crossed the line they were assaulted by the images of a human dying horrible death, gutted and bloodied, and laying around, crawling and spilling his guts. Mouse would have run, a cry went out of him, without him even acknowledging that. Only Omar's grip held him in place. While Sichr was affected also, he had seen carnage like this in Lagos, and after initial surprise got a grip on himself and knowing that it's only a couple of meters he forced Mouse with him to get through the swirl. Shaking he held to the wall as soon as you were out.

Quote from: ooc
Omar got 3 hits, Mouse 7
Sorry for a small delay ;)

Omar falls against the wall, breathing heavily. Another change to common behaviour of this man can put his teammates in doubts, well just for this moment this doesnt matter to him at all.
Two month old images, flashbacks of Festac shelter...burned...his fellow gangers tortured, shattered ad tored apart...walls spilled with their blood and pieces of their bodies, and that message on the wall...his dark skin went pale, as wound he suffered that days send strong signal to his mind, that they are not yet healed...and that it was not forgotten...

Oh god. This place almost reminds me of my brother...

Fractal walked down the tunnel with his taser held tight in his hand; it was exciting to be the front guy, but excitiment alone had killed so many, so he tried to be as reasonable as possible.

When he fells Omar difference in breathing speed, he intuitively fastened the grip on the gun.

@Team: "What's going on? Lips, was this any spell cast on Omar?"
