The curtain give way easily, you notice it is a little smoked and burnt on the edges. As you listen you make out details of the next chamber. You heightened senses also pickup the low chant from the chamber that is even further.

Seeing as the Mage is informed of their arrival and is most probably somewhere near Sam decided to start a conversation, before a confrontation gets out of hand "Enrico, we come in peace, no one wants to hurt you, or get hurt, if we are unwelcome just say so and we will leave, but we would welcome a conversation with you." shouting might not have been the politest thing to do, but he did not knew how far the mage was or if he would hear it, still this was worth a shot.

Fractal stops at the curtain and check if his guns are okay, all the while trying to discern if there is just one voice or more chanting. He makes some signs in the air trying to call Lips attention.

@Team: "Guys, I can hear chanting on the next chamber; I don't know if Lips can hear me on the Matrix, but if you do, could this be he/they doing a kind of ritual?

Not that I would be all for further explorations if we are on freelance mission here. But right now, I would like to put some tress on the fact, that team we follow seem to end its journey in this veryfirst chamber. We are inside the room at least Fractal is, as he lifted the curtain, witch by the way could be used to make the room we are in and where so many fireproof stuf is into a big oven. Grilled in a bed room that would be the first.

Well, since there is only that trapdoor room and corridor leading here, there is not too much to search there for. I doubt that those people just disappeared without trace...and since those traces they left, they give some fight to anyone. Maybe theywere fighting each other, maybe some phantoms, IDN. but I`d rather know this before I`d take a peek inside the magicians home.
And as for the haste...look at yourself where it leads you so far...maybe if you have been a bit more patient and carefull before, we didnt had to spend an hour waiting for you to be at least able to walk...so I think if we spend five minutes searching this place over carefully, there is no harm done...

Fractal press his back against the wall just by the side of the doors (in order to be behind the door if someone tries to open it, as well as hiding himself), wondering with the dog will appear through the curtain with the noise. Anyway, his taser is handy to deal with it should the need arise.

For an human-feelings-perceiving-expert like Fractal, the surprise in Omars face is more than aparent...well so it is for others. Surprise changes to smile, as scars on Omars face creates quite unusua pattern in the dark...

Sam Having his hand already in the pocket says "His turf, our lost, but we might lure him out, make the play-field even" at the end of the sentence Sam had produces two Grenades, one flashbang, and one that looks like a gas grenade, only Sam knows that it has NeiroStun in it.
Then he pulled out one of the rings, the flash-bang this time and threw it in the small opening holding the curtain with the other hand. with a bit luck they would get him out before he even had the time to prepare for a attack. " What do you say, should we smoke him out as well with some Neiro-stun? But before that we need to fall back, this might have a kickback as well we are in confined space." Sam asked the team holding his Gas Grenade and his Colt with the other.

Mouse looks a little uncertain, according to Eliza, the mage was not the violent sort, so he could see Unca Sam's point of view. Besides, we cooked the dog some tasty rat treats. On the other hand, Unca Omar is also right, Mouse has seen enough 'trids to know chanting in the back room is not a good thing for us. Though usually those sort of things take time to do and while spectacular once done (assuming the good guys don't foil the plan) most magic is in the form of the immediate and showy like Unca Ryker and Mr. Lips.

Through AR Mouse will instruct the machine sprite to be ready to fire. Top priorities, protect Mouse and Unca Omar. Secondary priorities will be to shoot designated targets.

With that Dobbey will take a defensive position by door, not inside the room, where he can guard Mouse and Unca Omar. Mouse will use AR to view Dobbey's feeds while he takes a position out of harms way and ready his pistol.

Before Fractal was able to dive in Sam produced the grenades from his pocket, moved away the curtain on first doors separating the and threw in flashbang grenade through the curtain in the second doors into the second chamber.

Since the goal wasn't to hit anything specific, just force the grenades through the curtain the roll would be Agility + Strength (1) which even with your wound modifers, shouldn't be a problem.

A satisfactory loud BANG was heard a moment later and bright flash was visible through the borders of the curtain.
