The excitment of the moment takes in, and Fractal thinks quite fast. The flash-band grenade may have given them an edge right now, but if there's any other survivor in the room, neuro-stun gas could kill them too (specially if they are already worned out from the tunnels and whatever preparations the mage has put them through.

@Sam: "He could have more hostages with him right now, Let's think of the neuro-stun as a last resource."

All the while sending the message, Fractal kicks the doors (both of them) open, in order to see what the hell is going on there, counting on his googles to countereffect the flare of the grenade and ready to shoot at anything.

Noone is inside the living room. The office desk to your right is covered with piles of papers. Some of them are folded into 'scrolls' about foot wide.
The table doesn't seem to be have been used for dinner parties in years. It's full of stains and the dried remnants of several meals. The kitchen looks as if it is used frequently, but it is chaotic and piled in dirty dishes.

Lips following you in astral notice, that the area before you is pilling up mana in sky high proportions. The wisps are thick overflowing throught doors. The wall blocks your vision, but it's already the feeling of swimming up the waterfall.

The room ahead and the meter close to the doors in the current chamber is Background Count 3 area.
Sorry for a small delay ;)

"What the fuck?"

This hide and seek is getting into Fractal's nerves.

@Team: "As we expected, there's a conjugated kitchen/dining room here. As we didn't expect, there's no crazy Azzie mage as far as my senses tell, as well as no one. I am cautiosly procceeding, and hope to have you holding my back, right?"

Fractal walks through the room, trying to be as aware as he is possible, towards the other set of doors. He trusts more his sonar than his own eyes, since the space is not that huge and he can perceive sound from all the sides, and he knows this magicians could turn themselves or their pets invisible if needed.

Though he can't hear anything what the group is talking, Lips sees their auras filling with tension. Under all this mana turbulence, his foci allready went under. Even his spirit is, usually a impressive fire-being, now is only a small shadow pushing against the mana flood. Lips wasn't sure for howl long he can manage to move forward or even fight in this environment.
Hopefully the other can deal with the mage alone, why Lips has all hand full to deal with the spirit he saw in the trap chamber.

Quote from:  Lips wants to finish this job as fast as possible
Weapon Foci: Deactivated
Power Foci: Deactivated
Lips Magic Attribute: 5-3 = 2
Spirit Force: 5-3 = 2

Estimated enemy spirit force: 4 + 3 = 7

Fractal position himself by the side of the door leading to the next chamber. His knuckles are whitening for the strenght he uses to mantain his grip on the taser. He controls his breath, as he knows most of the body responses can be at least minimally regulated by the speed and intensity in breathing.

@Team: Okay, guys, I guess it's now or never. I will blast the door open, and it would be really good if we are all prepared to shoot. Omar, it seems to me that the best strategy is that the drone jumps in the place first, since it's technically not a living being and then it's not so pervious to magic. Also, he would feel nothing if Sam decides to drop in the neuro-stun grenade and we close the damn door. You get it, Sam? If things goes south, or if we perceive the survivors are not in there, filling the place with your toxin would be the safest route for us. Everyone is ready?

As soon as Fractal recieves an answer, he motion in the air, in order to make a sign to the astraly projecting Lips, indicating they are going to break in, and then kicks the door open, ready to shoot or run.

Damaged Fly-Spy first, if you dont mind. It would give us tactical, even if it gets destroyed.

RES(5)+INT(5)+Hot(1) (11d6.hits(5)=6)=17 (fuck this is going to hurt me next time Ill roll 1 hit on 20 dices :P)

@Omar: Great, let's do this.

@Sam: Let's let allow the flyspy in first, and then, just before entering, you toss the grenade, ok?

SV@Team "Ok"
Sam used the Barrel of his Taser to make the way for the Flyspy, large enough to let it trough but small enough so noone would notice it.
No need to risk his fingers when you do not know who is on the other side, and Sam is a bit discouraged by this Intel gathering mission, knowing your enemies is good, but catching him with his pants down is better.

Radar readings reveal a person laying in the centre of the room, and another one kneeling over it. Between them and the entrance is a large humanoid. There is a large dog inside to the left. nearby a four more people are laying or sitting against the wall. To the right of the chamber are some bookshelves. At the opposite end a large work desk can be seen.

A Flyspy inside provides you with a ritual scene. The room is lit with electric lamp, but there are glimmering candles also.

The first obstacle in front of the doors is a large materialized spirit, looking like a humanoid crocodile wearing an steel scale armour and a halberd. And it is huge, much bigger than anythign you've seen so far. He is covered with blood. It is missing one of it's four arms, but there is blood on it's fangs as well as on the weapon. It is watching the doors carefully.

At the far end a bent and bound human figure is lying in the middle of the circle. He bleeds from multiple wounds, most notably from a terrible gash accross the throat. Blood spurts are everywhere across the chamber. He is barely alive (still twitching and gasping) but dying. Behind him – somehow more in shadows than he should be – stands a man in a dark robe. His entire figure is surrounded by an aura of light bending sparks.

The robed man watches the doors carefully. His black eyes sparkle.

Almost unnoticed you see a large dog, cut and pasted from some nightmarish dream. Coal-black with red-rimmed eyes it is guarding headless corpses of the four metahumans.

Receiving the feed from the EyeSpy, Fractal struggles not to be sick. Luckly (or not), he was expecting something this brutal and gross. But even though he got the grip of his more instinctual behaviors, he was moved. Quite a lot.

@Team: "Dammit, that's way too wrong. WAY TOO WRONG. Sam, toss the g'nade, and let's enter this slaughterhouse."

And then he kicked the last door in order for Sam's grenade to have it's way.
