Well, you make me proud son. let me set this up for you.
Omar changes the ammo belt in the machine gun from regular to Stick`n`Shock ammo. That would better fit Sams moral dilema, when it comes to shooting at metahuman. Then, with the visible relief, Omar hands WhiteKnight over to Sam, content that he can maintain his duty with drones.
Im not a dungeon crawler type, lets hope we got the equipement we need.
Folowing others example, Omar takes climbing gear over his camo.
Well,...now I think I am as prepared as possible. What about you, Mouse?
"Sweet, you know how to please me Omar.  ;D But better take the regular ammo as well, as i doubt we will run into to many metas there. "

I dont know. Got a strange feeling about this. Smugglers are running operations in tunnels like this one, so you may be surprised. And...just for sure...this high voltage ammo affects even creatures normal rounds are hardly able to harm. I wish I had the same in my Doberman.

OK. Im good to go. We make some progress, Software would be able to map our track. We pause in 250 metrs intervall, I dont want to burn the Dalmatian fuel on the way there and carry it myself on the way back so lets hope that it wont take too long. Two hours...IMO in this kind of terrain...not much more than 5 kilometers. But we will be more clever when we see this from inside.

"guess will have to take the helm. scouting as a invisible being should provide us with an advantage, but the LMG will be a pain in the ass to hide while sneaking. The radar should give me the opportunity to judge the situation,  and in case of trouble i would prepare a small charge to be placed in the tunnel, you see me running or some one else running just drop the charge and take cover. This way you could in worst case drop some rubble on the enemies coming your way, tacking some of the bastards with it out of the picture" Sam was already planing on how to use the tunnel system, and the strategy how to benefit from the close quarters in there.
He knew that,  even tho his radar was one of the most useful tool for information gathering and surrounding perception, in the tunnel the earth surrounding it the would limit it to perceiving  the open spaces and the corners at least. it comes still handy to have something similar to ultrasound vision

Lips, Can you give us astral insight on this place? Anything wrong with this environment? Some expert knowlege before we run into pack of bloody Aztech vampires or whatever they are?

Mouse woke up early this morning, restless. It had been a long couple of weeks--rewarding, but long and rough. Unca Omar had caught him in the middle of a BTL fix and the unpleasantness that followed paled to the need for the buz. It appears that while Mouse was unconscious, Unca Omar deleted all of the BTL files he could find--and he found all of them--sigh. So Mouse spent the rest of the time a little out of sorts. It wasn't a total loss, he managed to complete his first Dive and Unca Omar helped him to set up the Fly-Spy and Doberman drones, he picked. Saying that if I was a good boy, he would show me how to mount a weapon on it, take it apart and put it back together again. Mr. Fractal stopped by to paint the van and took Mouse out for some ice cream which was fun until the heart-to-heart. Perhaps a bit to preachy for Mouse, but he appreciated the intent. Going without the BTL was harder than he thought. Just once he'd like to....no. Don't even think about it. Pay attention! He is trying to help after all.

"Good early morning, pals." It was a conference call, and she didn't start talking until everybody connected. Tabitha was visible in a sexy night gown (well at least the part that was visible was foxy)...She yawned, but you aren't entirely sure if that wasn't on purpose just to stretch before your eyes.
Seeing that Unca Omar finally got onine...@Omar: Unca Omar do they always like to flaunt it like that? I wonder if the feline modification means she will have a litter instead of a baby? I wonder if she likes kids?
The comment caught Unca Omar off guard for a moment, causing him to miss the toilet seat. And yet too tired to respond.

"Let me see." Lips sits down in the elevator and move into the astral space. Leaving his meat body behind he dives around the hole, let himself drop to its ground and come back again, to report if he saw anything mentioning down there.

He also tries to remember anything about Aztech and their Blood Magic, which could be of importance

First, Lips walks to the car, and talks to the small kid, names Mouse: Greetings, Lips, my name. Omar there suggested, I ask you about a ... spare commlink. Mine is, how did he put it ... a hole in the wall. Personally, I have other priorities, but an open communication channel would be, nice. Lips shows his commlink to Mouse.

Hearing the voice of the new fellow, Mouse passes the work he was doing off to the sprite and tells it to keep this running, I should only be a moment...
The boy opens his eyes to look at the person addressing him...he seems very distracted...
Hello, Mr. Lips. I'm Mouse! He smiles about the hole in the wall comment, but the smile was short lived.I'm sorry, Mr Lips, but I don't have a spare com link, but let me see what I can do with this. It will take a little time to "patch" up the hole, but I can get you setup. He takes your comlink. Closes his eyes and goes back to doing what ever it was he was doing before

While the others deal and debate, Mouse hacks into Lips' comlink. Nothing special about the hardware or software, just enough to get by. Reminds me of Unca Ryker's comlink. Mouse goes through the process of disabling the wireless feature for the moment so as to drop all other connections/subscriptions to the link except via his touch. He then proceeds to ensure the fellow's link is clean by running several scans, utilizing one of the services of the data sprite if needed, looking for viruses and trojans and spyware and all of the fun stuff that hackers love to leave behind. Check the access logs and change the access id. Once satisfied that the link is clean, he will set himself and Unca Omar as admins.  Then he will ensure the OS is updated and patched, begin the encryption process and set up the slaving and the aleart mechanism also running by default and analyze program and attack program if available. Then he will re-enable the wireless and satisfied that no erroneous connections are being made or operations are being performed and it's working as it should, he will give Lips his com link back, he will probably have to take a break in order to help Unca Omar load equipment. If this fellow is to be the new mage, then Unca Ryker healed many a bloody nose for Mouse in the past, so he would like to stay on good terms with Mr. Lips. As such, he won't go probing around his personal data other than to ensure those files are clean.

As Unca Omar looks at Mouse who is trying on some climbing gear, not sure what is really supposed to go where despite the websites he visits mentally on the subject, that is just too big for him no matter how much he pulls on the straps. With the chuckle from Unca Omar, he takes the climbing gear off and grabs the tool kit from the van. He will grab an O2 mask, flashlite, some chemical lights (just because they're cool), some extra flashlight batteries and he will have FlySpy with him along with his regular stuff. Good thing Unca Omar didn't want to take Dobbey along. It would take an extra trip just to get him down there.

Not being a spelunker him self, he nods at Unca Omar Ready! Unca Omar. I think. Can I lower us down?

Into the Tunnels

With some trepidation, you lower yourself through the drain (at least those that works on delivering the equipment down). The corridor below keeps the diameter of 5 meters and after some 16 meters downward turn into horizontal tunnel. You immediately feel the loss of signal strength of your commlinks (anything weaker Renraku Sensei or Erika Elite is considered out of signal, but since you have Omar's Fairlight that is routing connection you still have Matrix access).

Musty smells mix with fresh outside air. The tunnel floor isn't flat. It's round, more like large pipe. Its' wide enough that two or three of you could walk next to each other without problem. Beaver, equals two people in that regard, doberman single one. Both of them are short enough to be shot over and Beaver could actually serve as partial cover. Beaver's searchlight turn the tunnel into well lit (actually a little sick white) corridor. And when anyone from you stand before him the shadow is long and terrifying.

1. I won't be providing you with map - only descriptions and distances. Anyone step up as a cartographer please.
2. Please arrange yourself in group. ie. who is walking first, who last etc.. how far from each other.

The tunnel leads north around 40 meters ahead. Where it joins another tunnel leading from east to west. There are metal rings in the concrete every 10 meters or so that are picked up by Sam's radar - that serves as tunnel reinforcement. The radar also pickup a small piece of electronic equipment on the wall to the right.

"Let me see." Lips sits down in the elevator and move into the astral space. Leaving his meat body behind he dives around the hole, let himself drop to its ground and come back again, to report if he saw anything mentioning down there.

While the overall look threatening, there is nothing to fear on the astral side. You didn't went far though for the possibility of something bad, bloody and spiritual lurking around ready to swallow your sole astral presence. Trusting at your astral masking skills and careful looking around you dared inside. At the junction you took the left side first, to find that tunnel turns north after roughly 50 meters (distance similar to the one form entry to the junction). You returned and took east direction, to reach another crossing. Tunnel is going from south to north parallel to the entry one. After that you returned to your meat.
Sorry for a small delay ;)

Mr. Johnson looks meaningfully at the commlink's clock. So far you made the good impression but this is a rescue operation and time is of the essence.

Are you ready to go? I'd like to have reports as often as possible.

Fractal really didn't like having to be underground: too little escape routes; but what he liked even less was being rushed. He understand that time is of the essence, but what isn't in this situation?

As soon as the elf perceives the general aspect of the tunnels, he feels bad for the situation. Even though a member of the group, Mouse is still just a kid. He is sure he has seen bad things in the past, but he is still a kid, dammit. As far as he understand, a kid who may be passing through BTL withdrawal syndrome!

Feeling this as his responsability, he tries to amenize things. "Here, kid, take this and configure it for Lips here." Fractal takes Erik Fjordson's commlink from his bag and hands it to Mouse; he knows the boy can work it in AR very fast, and being focused on this will hopefully distract him from the situation at hand.

Without turning on the flashlight, the changeling goes a few meters behind Sam, relying on his newly acquired echolocation sense. It's the first he tries it in a so proper place: underground tunnels deflect ultrasound better than the open streets or his appartment walls.

Quote from: OOC
Erik Fjordson's Commlink Information
This commlink has a response, system, firewall and signal rating of 5. It's loaded with Browse 5, Edit 5, Command 5, Analyze 5 and Encrypt 5, though they are not updating anymore and all have degraded to rating 4. It's sculpting was not changed by Fractal, so probably it still makes references to Rocky Mountain Dynamics, a manufacturer of engine parts. It also has one modification to allow radio transmission, if I'm not mistaken.

Back at his body, Lips starts to draw a small map of what he saw so far.

"I didn't saw any lifeform or anything magical relevant down there. To your question, Omar, Blood Magic is very rare, even among Aztech Magicans. Even though, blood magic includes, taking blood from someone, I would be far more concerned about their blood spirits, which actually feed on your soul ... or whats left of it ... But, in my humble personally opinion, since these tunnels seems to be abounded by any soul for some years, the most dangerous magical encounter would be a normal spirit down there, placed as guardian and forgotten. But again, not very likely. I would assume, we will more likely find some critter, not even magical. or a group of armed smugglers as reason for our job, down there.

I'm ready to go then."

Omar looks into wet, smelling darkness with unsure feeling, like being naked in action after those days he spent with his Rover. Well, there were worse days, enjoying such luxury had to end somewhere. moving Beavr forvard, he follows behind it, hiden in cover of armored torso. Construction drone manipulator and pneumatic drill. Omar sights.
Really amazing last line of defense
Omar was sure that Sam would feel like home in that darkness, doing his infil-fu well so far there was no need torisk any life, so Omar sent Doberman to the point, and then he flight his dalmatian deeply into the shadows. Flying mostly by the radar, Dalmatian made it to the first crossroad, sending a signal to Omar. Mercenary goes down on one knee for a few seconds, jumping into the drone and scanning surroundings with the camera, looking for traces left by previous team.

Lips follows left of Omar, also using the big maschine as cover.
