Even the most gloomist night in Denver pales in comparison with the street lamps and store fronts not to mention the comfort of the spam that hinted that somebody knew you were there. The only light is what we brought with us. It gave Mouse an eerie feeling as suddenly thinking that watching those horror trids last night wasn't such a good idea. It reminded him of the one based at the time of the Crash 2.0 where a group of net runners get caught in the trix when the trix goes dark and they can't seem to jack out some derez right away others take more time as they race around the trix trying to get back to their bodies only to find out they have been taken over by some AI or sprite and...
Mr Fractal gives Mouse a com link to work on for Mr. Lips.
Thank you, Mr. Fractal. as the boy sounds a bit relieved.
He will occupy himself with getting that set up for Mr. Lips.

Basing on the current posts, the order is as follows.
at the far recon is Dalmatian drone. Recon does not use light.
the point is formed by Sam, closely behind him is Fractal and Doberman. Point is going without lights.
The point is up to 100 meters ahead, currently less.
The main body consist of Omar and Lips, walking after Beaver. Mouse is closely behind them. Beaver has it's searchlight turned on, which means that in straight tunnels, point  and recon are well visible. - let me know if the searchlight has to be turned off on normal basis.

Without turning on the flashlight, the changeling goes a few meters behind Sam, relying on his newly acquired echolocation sense. It's the first he tries it in a so proper place: underground tunnels deflect ultrasound better than the open streets or his appartment walls.

Seeing as Fractal was well versed in seeing in the dark, he asked him to get to the rear " You are rather proficient at seeing in the dark, could i ask you to take the rear cover, i doubt we will be attacked from the rear, but i would like that some one who can see if we are is the one to be there. this would be the best tactical layout."
Sam did not think of fractal as the best Fighter, but not the worst one either, he just knew that he was the best prepared to perceive the surrounding. and an attack from behind would be terrible.
"And when meeting him say Omar to be careful with the light, he should only use it for his intimidate front not the whole tunnel. And here on the wall is some electronic stuff, he might like to take a look at it."

It's a completely new experience now. With your enhanced senses you build up the surrounding space. You hear water cascading to the east and north. The facture of the walls. Its differing subtly. when the sound of a walking drone brush over the ebbs of the rock, you feel almost like touching the wall with your palm and feeling it... it's pleasure. it's like walking in the warm rain in the spring when you were younger watching rainbows.

You focus again. The tunnel to the west after turning ends with an uneven end - boulders, cavein probable. The tunnel to east after crossing ends shortly after with a round room. There is a rubble before it, and the surface in the round room is different ... smooth, not like the one here with rocks and moss. The tunnel to the south from the crossing turns west and ends sharply. The tunnel to the north from the crossing goes beyond your hearing range.

Fractal back off from Sam a little, but not too much. @Sam: You want me to provide the back cover for entire team, that's right? I can do it, Sam, but I think it would be too risky... I also don't believe we will be attacked from the rear." He waits response before deciding where to position himself.

@Team: Omar, Mouse, is Lips already connected to us? I mean, have he joined our communications channel yet? As soon as this happens, inform us all.

Sent, you haven't answered yet if we can see which of the ways are marked by the RFID tags of the team who preceed us. We may need this info to know where to go.

Feeling his surrounds by way of sound was bliss. Hell, that may be a dangerous mission, but he is almost enjoying it.

@Team: Guys, I can sense the caves quite well. I believe the structure is really good at reflecting ultra-sound waves. Listen: the tunnel to our right, leads to the crossing, and taking the west way there's a dead end - rubble from a cave in, if you rely on my guess. The east path is what amuses me: a round "room", with smooth walls. It's sounding echo is a lot more precise than the other parts... About the other way... well, I just lose responses, so it must stretches farther away.

Omar was sure that Sam would feel like home in that darkness, doing his infil-fu well so far there was no need torisk any life, so Omar sent Doberman to the point, and then he flight his dalmatian deeply into the shadows. Flying mostly by the radar, Dalmatian made it to the first crossroad, sending a signal to Omar. Mercenary goes down on one knee for a few seconds, jumping into the drone and scanning surroundings with the camera, looking for traces left by previous team.

Sam was at the point and standing to the first junction. Checking out on the radar it confirmed, that the small piece of electronic on the south wall of the tunnel heading east was another RFID. The green numbers on the display read: "19:27".

Turning the corner radar picked up another RFID on the west wall of the north tunnel just after crossing. He also spotted something to the east just before the entrance to the round room that Fractal drawn on the shared AR.

About that moment Dalmatian's jet thrusted the drone frame slightly above you. The sound of the engines rumbling over the tunnels. Slowing down the drone made 90 degrees turn and flew over to the crossing. The light from the entry tunnel was enough for the camera to pickup the surrounding. There is a mingled body laying at the crossing. it's lacking few body parts. Head among other things. The room ahead looks like the drain you came from in that it is round, about 5 meters diameter. but it's filled with water to the level of the floor there are several small pipes on the sides of the drain that are trickling water. it's overflowing from the room, and flowing through the tunnel to the north.

"My thought on this is simple, as a scout my ability to sneak gives me the advantage to see what goes ahead without getting noticed, you on the other hand just like the drones make noise so you would give away our position. on the rear you would provide security and in a case of a fire fight you all could give me cover while i am coming back. or preparing a trap for whoever is going against us, if any. I just want us to survive. better safe then sorry as the saying goes."
Sam tried to convince fractal about this sensory much logical approach. even thou he could not say Fractal was wrong, almost the opposite he himself saw the chance to be attacked from the back a minimal at best., but being heard, quite large. if anyone was listening they had the chance to hear them especially as the tunnel amplifies any sound in both directions. but even Sam would be no match for astral and Radar identifying.

The sound of his own heart trotting on his chest distract Fractal a little to the things in the tunnel, and he momentarily goes "blind". But it's not even a second that passed before he once again come to his senses.

Hearing about the dead body, Lips quickly summon a watcher: "Listen, tiny minion, please move along the east tunnel until you find a headless body. Check  the surrounding for any form of life which is larger than my head, I don't want you to list every bacteria and mice runnng around like last time. Check every tunnel leading away from the body for 50 m. And please stay in the astral space. Now go."

Lips does not expect that the one who killed that body is still around, but as a germany saying: 'Die Vorsicht ist die Mutter der Porzelanschüssel.' says, always be carefully.

Sam went up to the Corner of the second junction carefuly looking if there are no traps on the way, so he could see what is going on at the both side tunnels, his hands clenched on the LMG just in case something would jump out of the water.

Fractal moves closer to the wall in the  first intersection, with taser in hands; he trust Sam's reflexes to do all the fighting work if it comes to be necessary, but keeps ready for anything that might come from either way.

Not very confortable with Sam's decision, Fractal agree. After all, they will probably leave the flooded area behind on their search, and then he can't be so sure anymore if they will not be ambushed.

@Team > Omar could I ask you to keep your drone more back, i would like to sneak up on possible danger before it hears us or sees us. Hope you understand this. and if i am not mistaken it has a sniper rifle mounted, would it not be better to use it from longer distance?
Lips, you there? could you ask your watcher to check if there is a connection inside the water and how far is it to dive? we still got some Oxygen masks right?< Sam has got a crazy idea.

Really disliking the direction Sams idea is going, especially the part about water. "I already send a watcher, looking around. But shoudn't we follow the RFIDs, placed by the previous team?"
