It was all too quick. The usual feeling took over Fractal for a second, but this time he was more prepared, and it was gone soon. But as it was gone, Sam had already put the crocodile to sleep. Knowing that this may not be the last surprise, Fractal spends some time focusing in. When he once again approaches his teammates, they have already sorted out a lot of things.

@Team: Welcome to our channel, Lips, and really thanks for this ghost of yours. Chummers, remember that Bob up there is waiting for constant reports on our findings. If this is not something worth mentioning, then I don't know what is.

He also inform the team about his new perceptions.

As Fractal closed to the crossing, his enhanced senses picked up new details of the surrounding area.

The tunnel leading north is about three or four times longer then the path you've covered so far. and at the end of that area there is another T-like junction. The junction room is round and there is also well leading upward. The noise of the water is louder now (at least for him).

Holding to his tasers, Fractal keeps ready for what else is to come.

After a little while, Fractal streams a file to his teammates. @Team: I've been working on a partial report to send Bob about our current findings. Take a look at it and complement or correct if necessary. Attached to the message follows a small file containing the report draft:

Report on our findings [time in which the report is sent]

• The tunnels complex we are in seem to be part of an old sewer or water distribution system.
• There's risk of cave ins, and there are places where this have already occured, and analyzing with these are recent (and so, possible for your men to be in or behind them) or not is taking some time from us.
• There are dangerous creatures down here; at least we can confirm the presence of a huge alligator.
• One body was found. CAUTION: THE FOLLOWING DESCRIPTION ON THE STATE IN WHICH THE BODY WAS FOUND CAN BE UNNERVING: It's head was cut clean out of his body, and some limbs seem to be devoured by the previous related alligator.None of the missing limbs were found. We couldn't find any cyberware installed on the body, and were unable to identify it as of now.
• An RFID tag found nearby informed that the team who first went exploring this place passed here at 19h45min. Compare it with the time in which reports from the previous team stopped or if there's their reports until that time.

It would be nice to have reports of the previous team also. So we can ignore things they reported. Maybe this body was also one of things they reported earlier, and we should move on.

Both tasers in hand, the changeling takes some steps toward the north way.

@Lips: Can you send one of your astral scouts this way? There's something like a well there, and I can hear water sound next to another crossing.

Fractal takes two steps more. And he makes a chirping sound in a frequency far greater than the metahuman ear is supposed to perceive, reading on it's echoes.

Just before turning his Radar off for a while Sam notices Fractal moving to the north.

Sam takes a long careful look at  the place the radar indicated something while illuminating it with his flash-light. then just to be sure he looked around as well.

@Sam: Don't worry, we are not going ahead. I'm just putting myself in a position as to take the tunnel structure to dirrect the sound waves I'm producing without dispersing on the way we came from. Keep us informed on your findings.

Body? thats bad. That alligator was contained by the barrier spell. if the barrier is gone that means something bad has happened to Tseng. I'll send you their reports. give me a minute to find them. I'll send Beaver for the body.

"As I remember correctly, Mr. Bob said, the previous team only encountered smaller critters, like devil rats down here. Assuming that either he nor his team lied, we can conclued that this body wasn't here when the first team went down here."

This said Lips starts to put the headless body into a body bag and pull it near Omar and his flying drone. Thanks to the absence of most limbs, it was much lighter weight than expected.

"If I have to, but its not very nice to ask those creatures to risk their tinny live continuesly, at least in my opinion."

Lips summon a smaller watcher with enough concentration to remain its form for the next 3 hours. The following drain was nothing than a small pain between the eyes, which vanished seconds later.

" Lips points into the direction of the well, color=green]If you are at the end of this tunnel and in a big, round room, look into all passages leading away from that room for at least 50 meter and report for each passage, if you see any lifeform bigger than my head? Back in mundane view, Lips looks back to Fractal, "I'm sorry, telling a watcher what it should do, is a very difficult task. They tend to follow every order quite, ... exactly. "

"Found a fake wall here, Omar you mind sending the beaver over here? taking it down? To see what is hidden behind it." or should I blow it?  , just fearing one more cave in, so would welcome help from you." Sam knew it was not the mission he was on, but the team they had sent down here was defiantly searching for something, what was not building related, so finding what it was would mean having a leverage in further negotiation or bonus in the pay. worst case they will just wast a bit of time they can write down on the beast.

Mouse will climb up on the Beaver drone next to Unca Omar. He has to jump in to the drone to get it to generate the autosoft needed for stealth. As fast as thought Mouse, was logged into D1 and working on the Covert Ops autosoft complex form. He could have a machine sprite do this, but he still has his data sprite searching for more info on the tunnels, so video game time. At least that's how he tries to think of it in terms of piloting drones. It was a little overwhelming piloting fly-spy at first. Some how thinking of it as a game seemed to help, piloting is almost as instinctual as it is command driven and he didn't need to be a nervous wreck, esp with D1.

He let the pilot program maintain control of D1 until he was ready and started creating the Covert Ops Autosoft
Though still only moments it took Mouse 7 complex actions to get an autosoft rating of something decent:

Fading of 4S: will(5)+res(5)=10d6.hits(5)=3
So Mouse takes one point of Stun.

Lips sit down on the container compartment of their Beaver and move into the astral space. Speeding towards Sam, he stops near Sams aura and slowly moves through the wall. As always, it was an unpleasant feeling to move through something, your brain tells you is solid.

Fractal was going to apologize for asking Lip's spirit assistant help in a dangerous mission (he does not know what exactly are these spirit things; which mojo-slinger with which he worked acted as if it was completely something different so far), but when he turned over he noticed that the mage had just gone for a walk away of his body. The team communications was enough to understand where everybody was at the time.

@Team: "I assume it would be safer if we are all together during the unveiling of what's behind this false wall Sam mentioned. If something nasty is there, it's good to have the largest amount of weapons aimed at it, and even if there's nothing there, there is nothing more interesting to do on this part while you are there with all the fun."

@Bob: "I hope this is not an unsensitive question, Mr. Bob, but does anyone in your team had some valuable headware that could justify a head extraction?" Along with the message, Fractal sends a map with directions on how the Beaver that Bob will send can come to the place where Lips moved the body.

Wisp listened carefully and spirited away. It was back after three seconds. Master, there are no lifeforms bigger than your head.

Having passed through the wall Lips found himself in a tunnel similar to the one the rest of the team is. It is heading straight for at least hundred meters without any crossings.
