When the team arrived at the north junction (next to the RFID 21:??), Lips ask for a minute to scout ahead east in the astral space. Giving anybody who wants some time to check the dead end in the tunnel north of them.

We've got Contact!

Having checked the tunnels you followed up in the direction you've started. Heading east into the tunnel astrally scouted by Lips, you found it turning north, just as he said and after another two hundreds or so meters you found the junction he described. To the west the tunnel ended quickly with a wall. To the east you found another RFID reading "21:59". You followed that lead into the the tunnel that slowly turned south. Here after some four hundred meters, you reached the crossroads.

The RFID tag indicated east direction just like the stream of water and read "22:23" you scouted briefly around finding nothing interesting, but neither you found ending of the west and south tunnels.

Around this point Bob sent you a message that the fungus you've found is originating in Aztlan caves. His presence here means it must have been implanted here by Aztlan government, probably some kind of colony and it's properties must be useful. However other than the fungi is awakened there is no more information available, and if you could take a sample for analysis a small token of gratitude would be provided. (500 nuyen). In exchange you delivered a report along the lines: "nothing is happening, we are following the trail". And turned east.

Like the previous tunnel, this one also slowly turns south. The tunnels at this level must contain more mineral content, that succesfully dampen communication. Even Omar's commlink has difficulties reaching the Erik's commlink left at the well. By your estimates, the contact will soon be broken.

BUT as Omar analyzes the nodes in the vicinity and tweak with a signal strength, he pickup the weak signal of a node to the south.

Quick calculation. Since they disappeared from communication range, they can't have signal 5 commlinks, signal 4 in this environment means, that the node is located up to 300 meters which is about 250 meters ahead of drones.

Following problems with connection, Omar commands damaged drone to fly some 50 meters back the way they come and land there, working as another retrans point. It wont work for a long distance but this is the best he can do for now. Loading the expedition feed into it, FlySpy has and command set to send whole package in case of contact loss. Last two retrans points available before we gou out from the map. The other FlySpy, and Alice`s commlink, which is quite capable so Omar saves it for next point.

Sam, would you like to scout that location? Ill keep drones as backup well except for D1 i dont think they would be as capabe as you are in case of infiltration. if you go there, please maintain radio silence, comunicating in pulses unless necesary. D1 would follow you to the point where you tell to wait and guard, making it the first safepoint for you if you need to return in hurry.

As you look closer, you recognize a human being slowly creeping towards you.
