@Omar: Ya, know Unca Omar, I have that satelite uplink module...we could probably rig a "satellite dish" on the Beaver to recieve communication from the uplink. I could use Mr. Lips' comlink as the comlink node for transmit. That may get us communication with up the tunnel and maintain our matrix connection. Either that or Mouse has been watching too many MacGuyver trid re-runs.

Birago Sembene, had an eventfull night. Somewhat earlier, a strong group of metahumans went through his tunnels. They were loud, talking, flashing lights, and magic, surrounded by watchers. Luckily he managed to kill the closest and run away into his hole in the tunnel before their mage arrived. After a moment they given up and went further. over the chasm.... that was a mistake ... he knew that so he just waited.

And then one of them run back. It was all to easy to make him stumble in the darkness. A single bite was enough to get him limp. It's not good to eat long dead meat. it's much better when freshly killed or even better still alive.

And just now, when he took first bite, someone appeared. cybered meta, joined by an astral one. Birago stared on him in disbelief - this are my tunnels, this is my lunch, you won't make anything stupid, right? and then he moved for the gun settling the matter.

When Sam was just about to take aim on the snake for a attack, it jumped at him, if not for his improved reaction witch took him out of it's way, Sam's face would have some poisonous bite marks on them, if the snake were poisonous. Sam Rolled out of its way and pulled himself together, there was no time to rise his gun, witch was still clinched in his right hand. ... That could have ended bad, real bad ...

Birago launched blow that was a killing blow, at least until now. That meta was unbelievable fast. Nevermind, I'll get him in the next blow. His 10 meters long body already springed for another assault. And the it him him. The spell force washed over him without visible effect, except for the complete takeout of his consciousness.
