well, actually, you've already run of tasks.  The number of tasks you can have a sprite do depends on the number of net hits you scored when compiling the sprite.

Speaking of the doc, did you want to take care of the stuff on him and the smuggler, cabo_setek, or would you prefer that  figured it out?
Could you clarify that a bit?  Between the smuggler and who?  The Doc?

Yeah. I did have a name for him, but I'm trying to purge all the references to the game I played her in (in SR3 before I remade this time entirely from scratch) because we got a lot of crap that we shouldn't have. I kinda see this as starting her off in a more believable manner.

@cabo_setek

I think i need it to match the implant so level 3.  Without the nanohive I think it degrades at the rate of one level per week.

BTW on the data search I was trying to be clever and find out who the client was.  The kind of nuyen being thrown around for an old song seams out of place for Nekoyasha.  Its making him a bit twichy thinking its some kind of trap.

Do you have a trigger in mind for the flasback?  I was thinking jacking out of the matrix was the trigger.  It wold be a problem duing a home invasion.

@BigGuns -  Okay, I'm still a little confused.  Am I correct in assuming the Doc you're mentioning is one of your contacts, the one arknok is looking to contact for the nanohives?  And what did you mean when you said stuff between the Doc and your other contact, the Smuggler?

@arknok
I do have some triggers in mind, but those are for me to know.   ;)
As for the data search, oh well.  Least you got some usable info.  ;D
And for the nanohives, at rating 3, cost is 30,000 nuyen.

The Doc I had Pred mention to arknok's character is my "Implant Surgeon" contact.  All I was asking is if you wanted to do the stuff on those two contacts. Sorry if it was confusing, sometimes what I say makes sense to me, but confuses others.

On another note, is the trigger I put for my flashbacks all right (it came to mind on the mention of arknok's)? I mainly put it as such, since it is flashing back to the event in her backstory where she walked in on the scene seeing her parents dead after they'd been murdered in such a brutal fashion.

Ah, ok then.  Well, they're your contacts, so if you'd like to flesh them out, go for it. Otherwise, I'll take care of that stuff.  At least I assume that's what you mean by "stuff", giving them background and things.

thats cool.... sort of.  Im assuming that i have no nuyen or its inaccessible because of the amnesia.

would he be interested in horse trading for it?

oh could i do a second search looking for the client?

Horse Trading? Mind clarifying what that is?

And when you say client, do you mean the Johnson, the Johnson's client, or the person sending out the emails?

Yeah, you go ahead and take care of the Doc and the Smuggler. Main reason I did the Fixer is because I had the idea for him, and the "Spider" well, he's in her bio I wrote up (which is why he's loyalty 6).

My rating was five and I've used two tasks. One to do the search second to traceroute or are you counting each roll as a task?

Quote
3BB compiles a sprite Sleuth sprite specifically. Rating five
Compile (5) + Resonance (6) Hits (5) thats how many I got I don't know what I need for it and now I gotta resist fade right? Resonance is 6 and  int is 5 hits are 3. how much damage am I taking?

The rating on your Sprite is 5.  The number of tasks you can give a sprite is the number of net hits on the opposed test when you were compiling the sprite.  Unless I read it wrong, you got 5 hits on the Compile test.  Which would have got you a net total of 0 tasks for your sprite to run.  But I figure, since it's the first run, I'd be a little more generous.

@BigGuns - Sure, no problem.  I'll take care of that later tonight, and I'll PM you the final info tomorrow.

No, the sprite rolls it's rating in an opposed test.  Thus you're rolling your compiling pool vs. their rating and any net hits are the number of services owed.

I.e. you roll 15 dice, get 5 hits.  The sprite (rating 5) rolls 2 hits.  Thus the 3 net hits means the rating 5 sprite owes you 3 tasks.

Tasks for sprites can be very broad since unlike agents they are smart entities, and unlike spirits are devoted to your service whereas spirits are merely forced to comply.

So a command such as 'search for any information on purchase and sale of data disks' may take several hours, it's still a single command and only takes a single service.  But you must also be aware that unbound sprites only last 8 hours.

Just like spirits, which is why it's almost always a good idea to bind your spirits and register your sprites.
