Wyrmtongue shook his head, ignoring the others as he concentrated his attention on the Johnson. "No, no, no. That simply will not do at all. Tracking the original and retrieving it is going to be an expensive proposition with the scant intel your employers have given us. Wanting it done quickly also forces us to spend more of our own resources to acquire the information. Tracking the disk to the point of sale will be difficult, as well. No, ten thousand is simply too little. I believe twenty would be a much fairer price for everyone."

So, the meet went pretty well, didn't it, chummer?  5k upfront, and the promise of 19 more on a job well done.  Now your first step is finding out who’s selling this hot disk. Since the odds are pretty good he’s not going to offer to sell it to you, that means you should probably be looking for somebody he did offer it to. Time to put the word out on the street—but discreetly, or everybody and their dog will start thinking something’s up and start looking for the disk. If it gets sold before you get your mitts on it, Johnson’s going to be very unhappy. Time to start making some calls, but first of all, where to now?
