Anderson responded that he had a reservation, but that he was looking for a Slade party.  He notices that everyone is smoking and decides to light his own before the receptionist leads him to the table.

"So, a babysitting job," Panther said, "In principle I don't mind doing it, but I'd like to have a bit more information.  I can understand that you can't say anything before we accept, but there are certainly ways around it.  Like what are we guarding: equipment or people?  There is a lot of difference in handling between the two.  Also what threats are against this stuff?  Again, I know you can't go in any details yet, but some low-life ganger scum is different from 'both the maffia and the yakuza want it'."

The roaring of the Yamaha Growler's fuel engine stopped abruptly and was replaced by the humming of its electrical counterpart as Rafa drove onto the parking lot. A few moments later he stepped off his bike and casually walked towards The Gray Line. He wore a jumpsuit from Ares' Victory line, a set of clothing fit for outdoors but which thanks to a strong marketing campaign was also worn by the young urban professionals who thought of a city park as wilderness but wore the hunting outfit regardless because it made them look tough and masculine, and a brand new pair of shoes.
A red blinking clock popped up into the center of his vision again, causing him to sigh while he sent the mental command to dismiss the alarm. He already knew he was late and didn't need a damned clock to remind him of how much he needed to get some money, but there was nothing he could do about it now. Show up, act cool, do the job, get paid.
He asked for Slade and followed the kid towards the table, though in truth he had spotted the location of the meet the moment he stepped onto the ferry. The ultrawideband radar in his pocket had picked up the concentration of weapons gathered there.
Rafa remembered some of his 'colleagues' gathered around the table though he doubted they recognized him, he was blessed with the kind of appearance that made people believe he wasn't really worth remembering. The best description the cops ever had gotten from a crime scene witness who'd spotted him was "He looked like an ork, I think he was wearing gloves.".
"Sorry I'm late.", Rafa said politely but without embarrassment as he took a seat at the table. "I miss anything good?"

Assensing will show he's healthy as a horse and has got 'ware in his eyes, ears, feet, something inside his head and his nervous system. Emotional state: neutral but slightly embarrassed.
UWB might show a flash pack and gloves. Not exactly sure it picks those up as weapons... one being a strobe light and the other clothing.

Once sitting at the table with the others Mr. Anderson decides to be the first one to ask the others about the job, "I don't know about you guys but I'm not against a babysitting job for 500 a day as long as it's in straight nuyen.".   Mr. Anderson breaths out the smoke from his cigarette before continuing, "So Mr. Slade.  Is there anything special we should know about?  Anyone gunning for the package, any complications why you're hiring runners instead of a rent-a-badge for this kind of work?"

Rafa burst into laughter. "A babysitting job? Really? Hiring an entire team to to do a job normally reserved for some rentacops? Oh, I can't wait to hear the catch! Hahaha.", he stopped laughing and nudged the person who happened to be sitting next to him with his shoulder. ""I like this hombre!"

"What's next, amigo? You'll tell us 'It'll be an easy job'?", he added with a smiling grin.
He noticed the silence and the sullen look on the people's faces. "Oh."

Caretaker (who happens to be that person next to Rafa) turn his black bald dwarven head toward him after being nugged and watches him carefully. An unnaturally black eyes fixes on him piercing to the soul. A small move of his eyebrow make his white tattoos move on entire skull to a spine crawling feeling.

Quote from: ooc
The full black eye is a sub-effect of the Analyze Truth spell, but that something Rafa couldn't probably know.

Your conditions seem to be just fine, Freya said, you are well instructed and know what' s your aim! It' s always nice to talk to smart persons!  :) But is it just a babysitting job? Well, if that is JUST, than you don' t need us :) And if you need us, than it will not be just a babysitting... And if it' s so, I would like to have bigger pay, prepaid (at least part of it). We are not just some cheap rentacops as you know! And of course decent information about the task! That would be fair and appropriate!

I'm sure what my beautiful companion means to say, is that you seem to be an experienced person who knows his way around the shadows. I doubt you'd lay your cards on to the table just after meeting with a group of strangers - but I'm equally doubtful about that you'd meet a bunch of strangers at all. You must have heard about us, maybe by recommendations, maybe more, and maybe you went ahead and double checked that information, just to be sure. Thus, you must know that we are competent and experienced enough to not just say yes because you promised us a fistful of credsticks and an easy job a mere security company could do for less.
So what do you say about dealing another hand, this time with the cards on the table? And it's your turn to pay the big blind, but using hard currency, not just chips made of promises, Slade-san. - he said in a respectful tone, nodding with his head at the end. They made their opening bets. Now it's time to see if he's serious, bluffing or folds.

Negotiation for a deposit and some more info. Backing up Freya. (7d6.hits(5)=3)
+3 hits. Nice!

"That sounds not bad," Panther said, "But I would still like to know what we're supposed to be guarding and against whom.  Just to make the best preperations possible and therefore doing a better job."

1000 nuyen a day was not bad at all.  Freya wasn't bad at all at these things.  Double with just one sentence.  She made a mental note to ask one day how exactly she managed to pull these stunts off.  While she had done negotiations before, it had never gone that easy.  Or the job was more difficult than Slade showed.  It probably was, but there were degrees of difficulty.

Since the pay has been doubled and initial pay has been added, Mr. Anderson decides to sit back and continue smoking whilst letting the others query for information.

1000 nuyen per day and one day prepaid sounds much better to me! Freya said with her charming smile, but I still would love to hear more about the task itself - what do we have to guard and from whom? Mr.Slade, you as an experienced person should understand my concerns. If I take the job, I want to do it as good as possible and that is impossible if there is no information. And I'm sure you are interested in it as well. Otherwise you would be gone by now, wouldn't you? Freya was still smiling and turning a penetrating look of her green eyes straight at Slade as she knew her smile and look did a great part of her job.

Eddy seems to be good at formulating his point of view, he should do some talking more often, Freya thought to herself. And he isn't that lost at all. Well, the first impression was a bit incorrect... OK, back to nego! There is a snag somewhere and I wanna know what is it

Slade looks around the room, noticing that most of you are in agreement to his terms he starts to lay out the job specifics
“I’ve rustled a great many collectibles throughout the years. I’ve recently started working with Ben Howard—you know, ‘Big Ben,’ made that blockbuster last year for Pathfinder? Tremendous artist for sure, and—well, the man has a thing for realism. Which is how I’ve come to supply him with certain equipment to use in his films. Now, my gear is in the gray area, if you catch my drift …”

“I’ve secured the gear at a safe house of mine. What I want you to do is to protect my gear when moving it to and from the house and while it’s on set. That was my agreement with Ben. Tomorrow, meet me at this address and I’ll give you IDs to bring my equipment on set. And hey, I’ve heard that Pandora is the leading lady in his new film. Maybe you can get her autograph!”

Ben Howard, Pathfinder, Pandora... none of the names meant anything to Rafa, but he realized he wasn't really up-to-date on anything but action trid's.
"Well, all this sounds like a lotta fun, I sure as hell am game!"
He raised slightly on his seat and turned his head to look around the room."Don't they serve food and drink on this boat?", he grumbled.

Looking at Mr Andersen "No we do not expect the likes of Yakuza or Vory or any other syndicate to be involved, but there might some who sees my goods as a fast way to make some real money. And would you willingly pay the cops? I prefer that my money feeds the ones who I know and who most likely will never try to investigate me."

"Now that's the kind of talk I like!"
Slade waves his hand, you can see the personal starting to move
Not long after trays of butter, razor clams, and filets of some fish arrive. Slade grabs a napkin, “Now enough yappin’, it’s chow time!”

if you still have some questions you can ask them, but this is the point where we end the Hiring and go on to the meat of the game.
You can also roll knowlage about arts, movies VIPs, anything that might give you a clue about these persons he mentioned.
