Next she found herself a cozy spot not far from the armours.  She sent a message over the team network that she would go to VR for some time and to let her know if something happened in real life, before she moved her consciousness on the matrix, while still keeping a feed from her cybereyes running in a small screen to the side, so she would know if someone approached her.  In the armour room she could also use the feed from the drone she had installed to guard the goods, as it would warn her if someone entered the room. 

She had her defensive programs already running, but now she added exploit, attack, track and edit.  She moved the decrypt to her secondary commlink.  While it was nice to know what exactly was sent, it wasn't important at the moment, and if she got access to one of the nodes, she could get the feed before it was decrypted.  On that commlink she also loaded her agent with the medic program, gave him access to her main commlink and ordered him to use the medic program in case she got hit by something.

First order of business was to scan all 8 nodes to see which was actaully sending the stuff and if more of them were, who had the lowest firewall.


the defensive programs (armor, biofeedback filter, stealth, ECCM, analyse and reality filter) are ergonomic and don't take system resources.
decrypt will run at lower rating on the secondary commlink, but that's ok for now.  That's only a backup plan anyways.  Same with the agent, I've made him so this system of running him on the other 'link will work.

Taking the exploit she started checking for holes in the enemy firewall.  She wanted the highest access so she could wipe her tracks, should this be necessary.


I'm not sure if I can do all that with a simple matrix perception test, but I will go on.  I'll attack the node with the lowest firewall/analyse combination where I haven't been able to get the information, trying for admin access.
I need to beat firewall+6 to get in, and they get an firewall+analyse roll at any of my rolls and need 5 hits (my stealth rating).  I've put 10 rolls here, I doubt I will need that many (unless those nodes are very secure, I think I can hack an admin acount into 4 of them with those 10 rolls).

If I'm found during this, I do an observe in detail to see if I'm up against IC or a life persona, and whether this persona is in AR or VR.  If a life persona in VR, I attack with blackout, otherwise I use attack.  I'll put 10 init rolls (I have 3 IP per turn) and I'll add 30 rolls to attack (attack and blackout both have the same rating, so you can use the same roll for both) and 30 rolls to defend on armour and 30 for biofeedback filter.
My agent is ready to heal my icon if necessary.  In case I need to jack out (this shouldn't happen normally, but just in case), it's the same biofeedback filter roll, so use those.
In case one of the rolls is a glitch (I haven't been checking them all) I spent edge to negate it.

As soon as I win I go sniffing around on the node at leasure to find what's going and then I wipe all traces from me from the action log (which is why I needed admin access), then I add a passkey requirement to log-in on the node and reboot (first going out to prevent dumpshock).  That will prevent them from accessing their own nodes as they don't have the passkey. 
I want to know who sends the stuff and who received it, plus I kill the outgoing feeds before the reboot.  I report this to Jamie.  Of course, if I find out the necessary information without hacking in (with the observe in detail above), I just sent it all to Jamie and let the regular security sort it out.  If I find the information with some nodes, but not with others, I just hack into those.

If I don't get what I need with one, and I haven't gotten too much damage (or I haven't been found) I try another node (same system, so use the rest of the rolls, there should be enough left).

This should keep me busy enough during my week on holliday.  And it should keep Kouryuu busy enough doing all the opposite rolls if necessary and describe what's going on.

Possesion of unprepared vessel is an opposite roll of spirits Forcex2 (5*2 in this case) against Willpower + Intuition. Single net hit is enough for possession.
If succesful all of the rats physical attributes are increased by 5 and it receive Immunity to Normal Weapons for the duration of possession. since the immunity it is force 5 immunity, I don't think any of the rats are able to make any harm to this alpha rat.

One of the Rats does not see Rafa appearing from the door and does not even try to avoid being hit by his first bullet. It hits her right were it's head is but the bullet does not stop there, it makes her way trough the whole animal and comes out on the other side.

His growing, then getting smaller,  as if it is not sure it should change, as if there are two forces at battle.
The remaining DevilRat let's a cry out and starts to run for safety.
The remsining sewer rats start to mass and storm Rafa's position, there are at least dozen of them of not two.

The second shot was directed at the running DRat, it was not a direct hit, but it managed to shoot of the tail tip of the rat, a true masterpiece if it had been intended, but no real damage was done to the beast. But it cry could be heard far and wide.

The flash-light was as surprising to the rats as the sight itself for Rafa, The rats stopped the attack and hisses at him, while Rafa tried to spot a place where no rat was, he failed miserable. every where he looked only the grey blight was to see, even worst in the range of his UWB radar 5 more devil-rats appeared fast moving towards them.
But on the other-hand, The spirit had successfully possessed the Alpha male.

Rafa was shaking rats of his limb left and right. The smelly little things were more a nuisance than a danger to him, but he was getting quite annoyed to be in a fight with less bullets than enemies and was holding his breath to avoid the stench.

there is no set receiver added to the transmissions, but every one who knows the intervals and the encryption key could receive them.

As soon as she found out about the type of nodes, she swore.  What was going on here?  These were nodes like the one in the firewatch HQ, but not things you would see on a set.  Well, there was no getting into them like this.  If she had a couple of days, she might be able to, but no on the fly.  Well, she could still see the nodes, so she could find out where they were and than go after them the old fashioned way.

She didn't want to jam the drone, even if she could, as she wanted to know who was behind all this.  So she opted for the next best thing, trying to find out who it belonged to.  First she had to take a closer look on the drone.

Rafa and Caretaker

The newly arrived devil-rats charge at Rafa, if it would have been just any other Ork he might have had some problems, but Rafa was not just any other Ork. Even on the limited space he had at his disposal he managed not only to step aside, but also to catch the first Devil-rat's tail, then, to the surprise of most followed a masterful display of close combat fighting. He used hes newly gained Rat-Fail and hit every single D-rat aside that came charging after the first one. After that the Devil-rat was shown what a real charge attack looks like when it was thrown into the bulk of the Small rats squeezing and killing at least a few of the little rodents.
A devious idea crossed Rafa's mind ... Might get one of these to my weapon collection ...

Just as Rafa had been thinking that The Alpha male launch to finish off the Devil rat he had attacked just now. White teeth showed just for a moment before the vanished into he flesh of the devil-rat, it's screams were so loud it hurt just to hear it.

From what you gather these drones work autonomous with a set list of orders with they follow, they also have some high tech gear to be hidden and most likely have some sort of safety protection in case they are found to protect their owner.

"these use my stunt-doubles to make them look like me." Pandora added then after a few moments asked "And where is Sasha?, shou should have been ready for the shooting like 30 minutes ago."
