Freya smiled at Tipsy and said: Thanks dear, but I prefer this one! She sat on the third chair, so that she could see both of them as well as the entrance of the lobby bar. It would be great if somebody else showed up soon...

So, what are you two discussing? And how did you get here? she asked Tipsy as he was the one who showed much more interest in conversation.

After a quick shower, Rafa felt reborn. He grabbed his gear, put on his good non-conductive armor, vowing to never take it off again.
Arriving in the lobby, he sat down as far away from Tipsy as he could, "Took me three showers and two dry-cleaners to get rid of the damned rat smell." Besides that, he never looked at the creature or acknowledged its presence.
"So, Panther and the bodyguard almost ready to go? Where we goin' anyways?"

I hope they will show up soon enough! Suppose lots of work ahead of us! Freya answered to Rafa. By the way, your hair need conditioning and maybe even a caring mask after that drone-bang! I could help you with that, if you want!

Rafa's headache had subsided and he felt fit enough to get back in action. Along with the pain, his anger towards Panther slowly ebbed away too, though he was far from happy with her.
"Damnit chica, what the drek were you thinking not telling us about that drone business? If I weren't such a friendly peace-loving guy and you weren't so fine looking, or, you know, for the fact that I was groggy and you could probably hack my bank account, I just might've snapped your neck for almost getting me killed by those things! A heads up like 'Oh, by the way, we're being watched by military grade drones.' sure would've fucking come in handy before I attack a drone with my bare hands... or made a bet on it! You owe me 100 nuyen."

"I only found that out after you started playing tag with them," Panther said, "I'd be more than happy to give you that information, if you would just wait those couple of seconds I need to collect it."

Back at the hotel, Panther had also slipped into something a bit more comfortable to run in.  Upon finding the credstick and the chip, she had first checked all her gear on tags and and then run a tag eraser of everything anyways, just in case she had missed something.  Next on the agenda was to go through the blogs of that gang, to see what their favourite hangouts were besides to the two locations they already had.  Then she checked out the chip to see what was on it, but she kept it as seperate as possible from the rest of her system.

I run a matrix perception check on that chip that's also present.
computer 4 + analyse 6 =10 (10d6.hits(5)=4, 10d6.hits(5)=3, 10d6.hits(5)=5, 10d6.hits(5)=2)
I would like to know what's on it.  Programs, agents, databombs, encryption, etc.

She copied the money on four credsticks, all with 10K on it.  Then she went back downstairs to the bar where they would meet each other.
"Sorry I'm late," she said, "I had to do something first.  Here, it's from that drone I found at the studio."
She gave each of the three a credstick.
"I've just sent the new guy a text," she said, "he'll probably be here soon.  At least he knows the town, that might be useful."

Thanks Panther! This is a nice surprise! Freya took her credstick with a wide smile.

If we are all except the new guy, maybe we can start talking ant let him hear it via comlink?

Here in Hollywood everything is about trust and discreet conduct of sensitive matters. If someone loses trust, he loses everything. So I think we should do this job as noiselessly as possible - no bombing, shooting etc., if only weare not provoked to do that to protect ourselves. Because if we will fail to do this in a discreet manner, we might lose not only this money but our main mission as well. And we will never get a decent job in L.A. again... That's the way thing are arround here...

Freya put her empty wine glass on the table and with a definite and elegant gesture ordered another one. She was waiting for some response from others before she continued with her opinion about people they will have to deal this time.

Rafa answered Freya's comment about how he looked with a blank stare for a couple of seconds before ordering a beer.

He checked the credstick and pocketed his immediately. "Well, at least one good thing came out of it. But will ya stop with the mysterious drone crap! What's "from the drone at the studio" even mean? It manufactures credsticks?"

He listened to Freya's speech with a growing frown but let her finish before speaking up.
"Hollywood is a town about trust and discretion? What?
Hate to burst your bubble, but this place is all about money and getting it by attracting as much attention as you possibly can. They've even got friggin' gangs broadcasting their actions for the world to see!
But hey, don't you worry 'bout me, you know me! Discreet is my middle name. I won't go looking for trouble, but if it finds me, I ain't backing away from it.
Anyways, we should probably start with finding out what we're dealing with here before we talk tactics, no?
Where we headed first? Way I figure, we've got three options.
Either we head straight for this Bacchus guy and beat some info out of him. But that's not discreet and I doubt even the airheads of this city'd be dumb enough to carry blackmail material in their pockets or stash it in some coffin motel. Probably best to the moron stays convinced a multi-million business is gonna roll over and lay flat on its belly just for him.
Hunting down the A-Kidz seems like a waste of time, at least for now. If Bacchus ain't with 'em anymore, those spoiled ganger-wanna-be's may have just escaped the beating of a lifetime.
So that leaves the 'scene of the crime' as those CSI-twats would call it, right? Cinderblock motel's where they picked up little miss beetlehead, maybe we could still find something there. Trail's probably getting colder every hour though."

I believe we have the time, to check a Cinderblock motel, but we're bound to go to the A-Kidz and spanking them long enough to get the recording back. Caretaker agreed.
Sorry for a small delay ;)

I think Bacchus wants fame, not just that ordinary "15 minutes of fame", but something bigger and longer lasting. And as he acts like a simple blackmailer could mean that he feels really safe and probably thinks that nobody will ever touch him or try to get rid of him. I agree with Rafa that the material probably is safely hidden somewhere. And sadly by now I have no idea - where...

"The main question is that we don't know who has the material," Panther said, "Did this Bacchus guy take it, or was it kept by the gang.  I'd say we first squeeze the single guy and if he doesn't have it, we check the others.  While Rafa's squeezing and Freya is sweet talking him, I'll turn his matrix assets upside down.  You never know what is on there, some people are stupid enough to leave the stuff, or clues to find it, out in the open.  Caretaker and our new guy can do overwatch to make sure nobody comes calling while we're busy.  I'll also shut down all recording devices on his 'link before we go in, as we don't want it life and in colour, right?"

Yep! That is the main question... Well, I would like to hear Ahuechei's opinion! He could have some useful information or clues. And I'm sure we wouldn't like to make some reality show out of this mission!

The hotel main doors swooshed open, and Ahuechei walked right in. He looked different now, dressed in his biker's costume, black military style, his biker helmet tucked under his arm. The elf looked around, spotted the group all informal and relaxed, sitting at the lobby bar, and strode towards them.

Sorry if I made you wait, my home's a little further away, he remained standing and waved off the serving girl who was just about to approach and offer him the drink list. Ahuechei never drank when driving. Good thing you have the rat with you. Otherwise I wouldn't have recognized you, all dressed up and , he joked. Do you want to start at the hotel I found Miss Daee at? Or do you have different plans?

"Hotel sounds good to me! Shouldn't take long, we can tap Bacchus afterwards, he'll probably be asleep a while longer and will be easy to find anyway. Unless the ladies need to first powder their noses or something, I'd say lead the way!"

Caretaker nodded and got up ready to go. It didn't make him much taller though...

So, Ahuechei turned to the ork, where's your ride?

"They lend us a Rover we could use while working here.", Rafa said. "It's parked in the garage. Bike's at home. Damn shame."
