1. Spellcasting Detect Individual F5 on myself: 6 Magic + 5 Spellcasting + 2 Specialization = 13 DP; 2. Drain Resist 3S: 5 Willpower + 5 Intuition = 10 DP (11d6.hits(5)=3, 10d6.hits(5)=4), no glitches no drain
I wrote 13 dice, but only rolled 11 for the spell. with the two missing its 4 hits on the detect individual spell.
2 missing dice of detect individual spell (2d6.hits(5)=1)
Detect Individual is an extended version. Range: Force x Magic x 10 = 300 meters.

Quote from: ooc
rolls behind the curtain...
background count modifier -1, it is also reducing the force of the spell by one, which also reduces the range by 60 meters
visibility modifier 0

You feel your sense is diminished by the background count of the building ahead, at least the ambient metahuman stream isn't that bad within the building as on the street here but still you're unable to detect Ashamael within the range of the spell.
Sorry for a small delay ;)

"It seems Ashamael is not in range. But better trust not too much on this, you never know, how good his defenses are. Time to go in there then." Procel slowly floated towards the main entrance of the McCaw Hall and into the background count. He shivered all over as his force diminished, looking for a porter or guard to possess and to hide his astral presence.

Alex floats back to the ground, where he promptly manifested. Not as his usual self, though: by the time being, he is appearing identical to the Troll Shaman whom moments before they were facing.

"Not a good disguise, but hell, at least he won't call any more attention than he has already called. When I see a guard or anything, then I can choose a proper seeming."

@Procel:
As you enter the building you feel the mana streams opposing your presence, it's slightly impeding your movement, clouds your vision. This is the teritory of the Enemy.

I am using the aura reads you get from autobuy hits.
If I am not mistaken you have Intution(5) + Assension(4) + Specialization(2) + Perceptive(2) - Background count(1) -> 12 DP -> 3 hits on autobuy.
If there is anyone, or anything you want to assense in particular make a roll.

With your guard high on, you take a look at the spacious lobby, there is about dozen of metahumans here. Tranquil environment or no, few of them are having holes in the essence, that you learnt to recognize as dead pieces of electronics and chrome that they put into their bodies. They are strategicaly placed at the entrance (four of them at the main gate) and four more at the turnstiles that block entry to the building proper. At the center you see a circular desk with two metahumans. Behind the turnstiles you see two short corridors. The right one is much wider then the left one. Metas around usually go to the circular desk at the center and then move through the turnstiles into the left corridor.

Closer inspection of the guarding team tells you that, this are energized, healthy and happy people. None of them are Awakened. They do have various degree of cyber implants, they have lower essence then you do and there are no astral signatures on them.
A look at the other visitors qualify them roughly into two groups, one that passes the turnstiles and one that stop at the circular desk, chat for a while and go out of the building.

@Alex:
As you materialize as a smelly troll people initially scatter in fear and surprise, but as the unstoppable flow moved those that were witnessing your appearance those that were following them just ebb around you like they did to the original shaman previously. Immediatelly you start feeling itching on the skin and increasing irritation.

until further notice, you got -2 modifier to all tests

What in Nine Circles? is all Alex can think of. That surely is not his day, not at all.

Seeing that Procel went straight to the interior of the building, Alex decides to go too. Maybe there he can change to a more confortable disguise. On the way, he shouts some doom prophecies, babbling some nonsense as the shaman he is impersonating was doing before.

"Repent, wrong-doers, for hungry eyes circle among us, preying on the souls of the wicked! The Awakening was but the start of the Renewal! The hosts, both Angelic and Daemonic, are already taking notes and betting on our destinies. Repent and abandon the crooked path while there's still time."

As you approach the Hall, a parking boy run toward you, turning fearfully to his supervisor on the steps to the main gate.

Please sir, this is no place for you, move away ... he tries feebly to block your way and steer you back to the main street.

"Are you trying to bar the true message to be proclaimed? Are you trying to deafen the ears on this house" - the troll points to the Hall - "to the warning? Young boy, don't you know that, when your time comes, you'll be judged by and accounted for your actions, and then 'I was following orders' will be no excuse? Do you want to incur in the righfull heavenly wrath?"

Well, this disguise sure is a poor one, but no one said it couldn't be a fun one.
If at least the damn itching stopped...

"Such small things should not hinder the true truth, little boy! Still, I will not cause you trouble. The message may come recorded in all kinds of media, after all".

With a snap of fingers, it seems to mundane eyes that the troll has just cast a Fashion and a Health Glow spell on itself, and even though it's the same ugly guy as before, now his clothes are pristine clean and more than well adequated to the place. Gosh, Alex didn't even hold himself to choose just a suit, he went for gala!

"Would you listen to reason now?"

Procel, while feeling uncomfortable in there, thoroughly observed the activities in the lobby to get a better understanding about the kind of jobs the people have and who would be the likeliest to be allowed to go into the interior. While observing the people and waiting for Alex though, he got nervous and had a look back at where he might be.
Procel smirked on seeing the scene Alex created outside. As soon as he noticed that the man on the stairs seems to be the supervisor for the parking boy, he decided to possess him.
Quote from: ooc
Opposed Test pitting its Force x 2 against the vessel’s Intuition + Willpower Test:Possession with reduced Force of 5 = 10 DP (10d6.hits(5)=6), no glitch <- nice roll :-)
Taking the buyable assensing hits to describe the surroundings, until one decides to have a closer look at something, is a very good approach, i think.
Edit: just noticed, i forgot the -2 sustaining modifier. so it would be only 5 hits, unless you decided that outside would be also outside of the background count, in which case my force would be 1 higher for this test and i would get 2 dice back.

possession takes place within the background count area
Willpower(3) + Intuition(4) -> 7d6.hits(5)=4 good but not enough

After Procel possessed the man, he immediately addressed the boy. "Let go of this gentleman and focus on more important things. That customer over there seems to need assistance." and he pointed to some guy further away. "I will take care of this - personally." Procel approached Alex with a wide smile. On the way down the stairs, he masked himself to appear as a simple mundane that the man was.

Quote from: ooc
Aura Masking: Intuition 5 + Magic 5 + Edge 5 - Sustaining 2 = 13DP (13d6.hits(5)=5), no glitch,

"Mr. Knickerbocker," he addressed Alex now, with a loud voice, "i am so sorry not to have recognized you immediately. You're quite humorous - as expected of course...   Let me lead you inside."

Parking boy scurried away immediately.

As you walk inside you discretely check your vessel belongings. He is wearing armor clothing. He has identity RFID card under a name of Paul Pendleton, entrance supervisor of the Marion Oliver McCaw Hall. He is also have a commlink (Novatech Airware, with Mangadyne deva as an OS, with an AR Glove and binoculars able to display AR notifications), with a hall brand imprinted both on software and hardware (it is autolocked currently, with eye movement pattern to unlock). He also carrying a light pistol (Colt America L36, loaded but without any spare ammunition)

With physical eyes, the world look slightly more fleshed out.
The desk at the center is marked as "Information" the ladies inside receive calls and issue RFID cards for ticket owners, guests or VIPs. The corridors end with elevators. (two to the left and four to the right. The left corridor is marked "Offices and backstage areas", the right corridor is marked "Stage". You also notice that on one of the walls is another elevator marked "Cargo". You don't need to go through turnstiles to enter it, but there is a guard watching entries there.

Through the binoculars you also see the AR decorations on the walls that the day after tommorow is the premier day of the Fiat Iustitia a Matthew Stockman's post mortem premier performance. Romance, love a'la grande, road to liberty. Featuring emerging star Tania Sherdun as Soprano and Gavin Julianson as First Violinist.

if you follow the link for a slightly broaded description:
Fiat Iustitia is the first and last work of a recently deceased young composer, Matthew Stockman, who was cut down in a traffic accident shortly after his opera was accepted for production. The story concerns the rebellion against a despotic power, led by a young woman (the heroine and lead Soprano part) who is unhappily in love with the son (lead Tenor part) of the despotic villain (a Bass). All is resolved when the villain takes poison and the hero and heroine resolve to lead the country into liberty together.

NanoCritic: The plot is not overly original, but the score and libretto are well done.
OperaInTheDigit: highly recommended - the best thing in operas this summer

There is also an entire wall advertising charity auction for the hospital that needs to be built. The auction will be held on the stairs of the Operahouse on afternoon on the day after tommorow as a part of fundraising week. The auction will be culminated with an opera performance for the guests. Among the expected guests are Seattle Downtown District Mayor Nikola Taul with most of the Downtown District Council members.

Following the link, you can see that her appearance is part of her campaign "Downtown Taking Its Taul" where you can also donate funds for the campaign.
Sorry for a small delay ;)

Alex, even manifested, can't really concentrate on the information that should be available to Procel. That's the only thing he ever envied about possessors: they could really feel what's it's like to live on the Sphere of Flesh, while manifestators had to mantain their distance to this experience... no matter how much he tried to understand how light reflected on the objects, he would always make crude emotional sensing metaphors about it, and never experience that much...

Mimicking the correct behavior for the place, the now perfectly-clad troll glances at the supervisor: "Long time no see, old friend. So, well, any information on our other guests? Are they at the place yet?"

Procel guided Alex to the left corridor, "Here, let me show you the backstage area. I haven't seen our friends yet." Then silently over astral, If they don't show up soon, they might have resisted the spell. It will be tiredsome to search the whole building for them. In the corridor he was looking for any hints as to what could be Pauls office.

To any person who might interrupt them "Ah, excuse my mannors. May i introduce Mr. Knickerbocker, an old friend of mine. He is out of town and going to be part of the fundraiser in two days. I am giving him a quick personal tour already. He is very interested in our Hall."
