I played this guy for about 12 years or so. There were over 1000 runs and I had to use several different editions with him the last being 3rd. The last run I did I kinda upset all of Fuji Corp and they kinda wanted me dead. I made a deal with them to leave them alone and go away from the world for a while. They were even nice enough to give me my own Island/Prison It was super sweet of them I thought... ish. I am now trying to convert him over to 4th edition and I am not nearly as cool as I used to be. I miss the days when you could have an extra power point for just 20 karma.... (tear) Anyway this is the best I think I can do. Tell me what you think.
Total Karma 4502 with 88 left over. He was ment to be a body guard at the time. I however had to do a lot of runs on my own or with lots of different people so I had to adapt to being a generalist of sorts.. that could punch really hard.

JUST GOT THE BEST NEWS EVER !!!! I CAN USE THE ALTERNATE RULE OF BUYING POWER POINTS FOR 15 POINT!!!!!! HAPPY DAY HAPPY DAY!!!!! sorry for the caps I am just pretty happy now and I have to redo everything I just spent 6 hours doing lol

he was  lol. It took me forever to get him that powerful but once he was... wow. The reason I was sent to an island and not killed was that I had taken out over half of the armed forces of fuji. They were less than happy. When the dust finally cleared I had hurt an innocent in my dealings. So I be came very weak and then got the holy crap kicked out of me. By that time most of the guys where to afraid of me. So I cut a deal with them. yay prison...ish.. but now I am trying to get one of the gms I know to let me play him. After he breaks out and gets his powers back. or after he breaks out and still doesn't have his powers but is trying to make ammends. or something like that any way.

I assume for gaining the power points for 15 Karma each, you use the optional rule of buying a metamagic technique outside of initiation for 15 karma and then another optional rule to get a power point instead of gaining a metamagic technique at initiation.

Any character sheet that starts with "total karma: 4926" is going to be a beast, period.  Hell, you could drop an entire digit from anywhere in that number, and easily triple or quadruple, at least, the average amount of total karma the average character is likely to see.  Once someone drops a 5,000 karma number, everything that comes after it is just details.

Nope. Their threats tend to scale with them, or are just played differently. One of the key things to remember about high karma PCs in SR1-3 is that in addition to having high stats they had Karma Pools in the high double or even triple digits (even after permanently burning dice), and could re-roll their way to success on nearly every test because the statistical effect of aggregate karma re-rolls is like reducing the Target Number of huge TNs to something achievable. That's why GMing them requires you not to target their stats, but their Karma Pool.


Anyway, Lofwyr would just be a lot more powerful than he is in Street Legends. As far as I'm concerned, the stats for Lofwyr, Hestaby, and Lugh Surehand are nice starts, especially when you look at the stats for experienced operatives like Thorn or Samantha Roth who only have decades on the immortals' millennia and yet aren't that far behind an immortal like Surehand who was already a stupendous badass immortal in Earthdawn. Though that may be why Surehand was interested in Roth.  ;)

Everyone I gamed with whose PC was over 1,000 karma, and some who were at even half that, didn't bother converting them to SR4.


SR4 is not designed for them.


I especially liked the one who could fly at Mach 5 and had a custom close-combat spell that was Touch Only, but with a base damage code of Light NAVAL and a Drain Code that would instantly kill most characters.

I converted one that was between 80 and 100 karma from SR3, and it just made the character feasibly playable again. Tried to do the same with my SR3 mage from a team that got paid 2 million a month (or quarter, can't remember for sure which at this point) with cash-for-karma active, and well...it was sick.

Even before you get to them, you have to deal with their entourage/coorperation and that army of bound spirits surrounding them.
9 on all stats, 6-8 on all skills, 6-7 edge, impressive all.... but those Force 20 spirits have 20 in all stats, 20 in all skills and 20 edge, no?
