== Description ==
A literal "sell sword", Flynn knows how to fight with both with the quiet and stealthy methods that will let his team slip under the radar and with a panache and flair that will draw all sorts of attention. Perhaps more importantly, Flynn also knows when to be silent and unseen, and when to showboat. Although excellent at sneaking past even the most watchful eyes, Flynn is an fighter, not a B&E specialist; he’ll need help from other team members to deal with high-tech or magical security... but, he's learning.

== Background ==
Charles Flynn was born in Portland, Tir Tairngire. Now, he shoots people in the face for money. Haven't come up with better background than that yet...

== Tactics ==
Flynn has various weapons for doing his thing, depending on how concealable or flashy he needs to be. The Morissey Elan (which can bypass MAD scanners, especially with Hi-C ammo) can get just about anywhere, as can the Victorinox Memory Blade (although it is not MAD-proof). His Savalette Guardian is less concealable, although not terribly obvious, and mught just be his most potent weapon. The raiper is not concealable at all, but given the lack of close combat training and impact armor by most potential foes, quite devastating if Flynn starts calling his shots to raise his DV or bypass armor.

In typical "street sam" fashion, Flynn is perhaps over specialized in combat, although his stealth skills are strong and he can handle social situations better than most trigger pullers. He is quite lacking in technical or mechanical skill, making him useless with Matrix activity, research, and poor at B&E. On the other hand, already Flynn very heavily chromed, so almost all of his karma and cash will go into development of Skills, mental attributes, and improving his commlink. Shadowrun can be a deadly game, but if Flynn survives his first few runs he should become quite well-rounded.

Mod the Elan for Easy Breakdown. MAD undetectable is a good start, but even a low rated cyberware scanner will pick it up easily.
So break it down into small pieces disguised as jewelry/clothing accessories/office supplies, get past the scanners and find a quiet place to reassemble it.

Easy Breakdown would add another ¥450 to the cost of an already pricey pistol. I might as well pick up a Shiawase Armaments Puzzler for ¥900 at that point... The Élan I'm currently carrying has a -7 Concealability (-4 Holdout, -1 Concealed Hoslter, -2 Synergist Longcoat) which should keep it fairly hidden from casual inspection. If someone points a cyberware scanner at me, the legally available holdhout pistol is going to be the least of my worriesconsiderign the ¥200,000 of illeagal combat chrome I've got in me.

Could be wrong, but the only detectable cyberware you got looks like Wired Reflexes, for which you can get a (fake) licence. The bioware doesn't pick up on scanners.

Shrug, it's a nice build and good equipment, I just thought it'd be useful to point out that MAD undetectable doesn't mean you can just walk it through any security gate, but that there is a solution for that :)

I carry a Fake License that explains I needed to have my central nervous system replaced by fiber-optic bundles, neural boosters, and adrenalin stimulators to treat my many medical problems such as includes postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, neurally mediated hypotension, epilepsy, and hay fever.  But, as with most things in Shadowrun that's only going to work enough to give beat cops and airport security goons a level of plausible deniability so they can look the other way when I go about my daily life.

It is my expereince that in the Sixth World, everyone on the streets in breaking a few laws at any given time.  When your off-the-rack salaryman's suit is bullet-proof and features a built-in concealed handgun holster, I figure that most beat cops and casual security types aren't too worried about passive violations of contraband. A concealed light pistol, some pirated trideo flicks, a few hits of a recreational drug... Tell the nice officers from Lone Star/Knight Errant/Pueblo PD how happy you are to have run into them in time to donate to thier annual fundraiser and for over ¥200. Write it off as a business expense.

The MAD resistant Élan is mostly meant as a "walking around town" gun.  I can move around in the upper-class sections of the sprawl without attracting undue attention from the police or private security. It helps that I'm not obvioussly cybered, that I'm an Elf, and that I'm decked out in Vashon Island clothes... on the otherhand, I can probably expect to get some shit when I stray into the slums. "Driving While Meta" doesn't just happen to the orks and trolls. Still, such is life...

Bah, a dandelion eater complaining about racism. As if those treehuggers got any idea how it is to go through life as an ork or troll.

I'm not complaining about racism. I'm planning to use it to my advantage. You should watch me work a room with my pixie PCs. ;)

I want an all-pixie maid service. That'd work a room (they'd get to every dusty nook)
