Crisses, could you use something to diffrentiate speech from thought in future? Italics, not coloring thoughts, something like that - just I nearly had Crow develop telepathy and and answer her until I noticed the vital word.
I did differentiate with color, per SeriousOne338's sig file -- Sorry about that....
Gamer forever & a few weeks, first time PbP, and not used to sharing my "character's thoughts" and all that textual dramatization that seems to go on in PbP. I "get it" -- I'm a writer -- but I still haven't applied it to gaming til now.
Good job she didn't say it aloud too
What does it mean when another character's player threatens your player character out-of-game?
Absolutely nothing.Minnow thinks team. She's been in too many tight spots to think for a moment that anyone in the group is 100% independent of each other. She's watched teammates die, saved them dozens of times from drowning or worse, and since she's not great at fighting, she's had her ass saved dozens of times as well. If Crow doesn't "play well with others" then she mentally tags him as "soon to be dead." In her mind, that's just the fate of people who don't play well with the team. She won't try to kill him, and she'll try to save him with everything she's got if she can get to him in time because that's just how she floats, but she won't let herself get attached -- in friendship or enmity -- to someone who is going to act like a loose cannon. Some Brits are slow to give a rats ass about others in the first place. Perhaps she's one of them. However, she's slow to take it personally, also. Goes hand-in-hand. If I'm playing a cultural stereotype, luckily she's not Irish, and she's a blonde not a redhead.
Now, this is all due to her background. I'm playing a character, nothing personal. Been gaming far too long to get me and my character confused.
Crow's welcome to teach her a different meaning of "team" when it comes to runners. It would be a very educational experience for her. However, it could go the other way as well and they could become chummers. The outcome of this friction is not fixed in stone.
But she still thinks he's a prat. But some of her best chummers are prats.
