in the shadowrun rule book there is suggested play styles. Cinematographic gameplay allows for easier rolls target number being 4 instead of 5. For combat I am running it that way so combat is quicker you'll be more effective.

Yeah, saw that after rolling but the only roll it affected was the gymnastics roll.  Thanks for the heads-up.

@GM: Sorry, didn't know rolls were required, but don't have any problems with you rolling 'em either. :)
I am wondering however you get the dicepools, you using the correct sheet? I think you're using the one of the Wagner I created for the UB game, not the one I made for this game (third post in this thread)... also, might be forgetting modifiers like 'ware and tools/shop.

Gotcha I was just doing an open ended test without modifiers seemed to work fine your not going to get a top of the line system out of this ship, it old.

Minnow's not much of a person to want to go wandering about in the South Pacific unless she's below deck or under water.  If there's a good chance the rig has air conditioning, she might sally forth and check it out.  Otherwise, it's not worth her effort to stay out there long.  It's unlikely there's a lot of swimming going on around a dock in the middle of nowhere...and it would be a dumb place to start.

I guess she might go out at night and listen to the babble at the bar.  If so, she keeps herself well under her limit of becoming inebriated and doesn't ask questions.  She has a good number of language skills, so she might hear something interesting even if folk "ain't from around here".
