The Drone was something new for Sam. He did not tamper with it, just used it's eyes to take a overview of the surroundings looking for places where people would gather, Bars shops and the like of them, even gangs were OK for him, he spoke their language.
Quote from: OOC

He did move in a slow pace checking everything on the visual, thermochemical and Radar Level, looking for anything out of place.
While keeping an eye out for Places to snoop around and ask some questions.

Moving out along the street Sam soon found out a drink bar, that was visited by locals. At the entrance however two asian featured humans are standing. They noticed you.
I could use that jacket.

Sam was not going to make a scene here, and neither is he going to give in into their demand as giving up the jacket would mean revealing his holstered Pistols.
He takes  a look at the speaker and then says: "Sure, i could only recommend you getting one, it's real Comfy."
Not long after those words the TactSoft started to blink "Connection failed retrying in ......"

Ghouls you say... well...gimmie a minute

Omar quickly detach HERF gun from D2 and replaces it with LMG from Rover. It only took a few minutes, as he practiced this moves many times during last two weeks. Having that operation done, he feels at least a bit better.

Mouse, I won`t underestimate this kind of threats. we better find a shortest way in and out...I hope that we wont have to use this weapons. Just for the case, stay vigilant as ever. And if there is no other option, I guess Id rather be dead than infected. I count on you.

While the grown ups talked about getting to the tea house, Mouse toyed with the different sensors he had. The low-light and the thermal from the contacts; the ultra sound, vison maginfication, and vision enhancement from the glasses. He tried to turn on different combinations of them as they descended, causing him to stumble on a really bad combo.

...uh ghouls??? Unca Omar, she just say ghouls??? As Mouse's attention got snapped back into reality. He had to mentally switch back to low-light to see enough of Unca Omar's face to know that she did.

Mouse even read a news-byte about ghouls attaining citizenship in the UCAS territory of Chicago. At first he thought Gimly was pulling his virtual paw. Of course, now there is the quarentine. He wonders if the ghouls have something to do with it. Mouse has seen enough trids on ghouls to know they are bad news. The thought of getting infected...yuck!

Mouse will ready his pistol and turn on the ulta-sound vision contained in his glasses. That was the main reason he wanted to come down here in the first place--to try out his new toy (I mean shades.) I guess we will putting these toys to the test.

Ok Unca Omar, ready as I'll ever be.

Assensing: 5 hits, Psychometry on Mayuri through the tee room: 6 hits

Quote from: ooc
The ward is only at the outside of the teahouse. There was a patrolling watcher on the corridor, but not inside the room.

Lips had a lot of time to study Mayuri astrally. She has a strong aura, she has the same level of Essence but is a much weaker in Magic (OOC: Magic 3). There is no characteristic flows of streams but instead an iron will radiating from inside. You will recognize her aura regardless of physical disguises or alterations in future.

The heart of her aura is darkened. She is very well hiding an extreme displeasure of having to deal with changelling and ganjin. The purple streaks at the sides are hinting strong affection of erotic nature, arousal even.
She is an awakened one, whether she is actively using her power or it is innate and unknown to her you don't know. There is no astral signatures present on her.
By the look of the aura you assense that she is healthy. There is no cyberware nor any kind of bioware or nanoware. Obviosuly she is not a technomancer.

He sips the tea, and calmly says: "But in order for us to help you, we need some information. As you said, you want to be out of the geisha life, but without causing any dishonor to Aikiwa House. Have you any thought on how this can be done?"

I've pleaded Kikuya-sama to be released from service, but she refused. I don't think it will work but you might be more convincing than I was and try yourself. The other option I see is that you talk to Yoshiro-san, Yakuza lieutenant that supervise this district. If he decide to release me from my bounds, Madam Kikuya will be forced to obey and allow me to leave regardless of her opinion. I wasn't allowed to talk to him directly.

The men and his companion are both clothed in armored jeans wear. They have a slightly 'used' look. Probably still feeling the effects of yesterday booze and drugs, which is probably the incentive they stopped you. Unless they have a better grade of cyber than you do, they got nothing of the chrome in them other than their weapons which is are wakizashi sized knifes that they cary on their backs and light pistols carried on their belts.

Oh really? a mean sneer appeared on his face I think I'll get one from you.

"Negotiations is the water in which I tread in, alright, Mayuri. I could talk to one of them, or both." Another sip of the tea gives Fractal a moment to think on what information he needs; as well as send Lips a message. @Lips: "You have been really quiet this whole time, gentleman. Is there anything wrong?"

Then he goes on, threading his metaphor in the ways he has always seem Japanese writers deliver their ideas: "But, as a dancer needs the music rythm to build her movements, a negotiator needs information on his peer to build his arguments." He knew there was no need to tell this to a geisha; after all, they also were keen on diverting people, and learned as part of their activities to read the others and answer accordingly. But he though it was fitting to develop his questions in a slow way. "I have no knowledge which I can use with any of them. Mayuri, what can you tell me about Madame Kikuya, and about Mister Yoshiro?"

Peaches waited until both Omar and Mouse readied themselves. And led the way further into darkness with a motion detector in hand. Somewhere above you hear the sound of street traffic, the whisper of flowing water below. From time to time you see a movement - rat or lizard scurrying away from the light.
At one point Mouse almost shrieked when several drops of cold water splashed on his neck and that was just few second before Peaches stopped and pointed ahead.

Movement. There is a small space in the tunnel to the right. We need to pass by over the entrance. Stay close.
She turned off her lamp and started to move slowly close to the right wall, gun in hand.

"I have no knowledge which I can use with any of them. Mayuri, what can you tell me about Madame Kikuya, and about Mister Yoshiro?"

Mayuri stood up form her kneel. Walked to the wall and picked up shamisen. With it she knelt again against the wall and started to play subtly as she responded.

Kikuya-sama has been a geisha for Aikiwa House in Japan for a long time. When she retired due to her age she was rewarded for her service by being accepted into the House as family and given a duty of overseeing a geisha house and this tea house in Denver. A rare honor. She is a stern woman, but honorable and fair. I think that she do not accept easily her age, that she miss being geisha and can not understand me wishing to cease being one.

The tunes have changed subtly and if the previous were slow and harmonious, they are now more aggressive, unnerving, faster. Still they were quiet, and she didn't had to stretch her voice to continue.

I don't know Yoshiro-san as much. I know he is Japanese born here. He is a cruel man without much honor. I must admit that for all I know I am affraid of him for he has the power of Yakuza in this district and is using it for whatever he wishes.

Fractal assumes a thougtful demeanor. He must think of how to proceed and what step to take, and maybe it's not good to show what his mind is devising.

At least, he is glad that Mayuri started playing. Focusing on the music helps easing the pain of the high pitch sound.

Although he could not open himself to the geisha, he needed some kind of advice. He knew that the noise was influencing his mind, so he needed to know how stupid his plans were.

@Lips: "Well, well, Mr. Lips, it seems that our Madame Kikuya is an old venerable lady full of memories and values. That's something to our advantage: she seems to be wanting to replay the high points of her life in young Mayuri here. A sad thing, but one that can be just emotionally abandoned, if we can play her right chord. I'd like to have another possibility, but I'm glad to hear that - she is not inflexible, just idealistic."

While she spoke of Yoshiro, Fractal drifted to another places... that guy does not seem to be a trod were he could walk, or at least, not without preparation. And time was of the essence. He took some moments to concentrate on the nanotattoo canister on his suit pocket. Was his idea worth a shot? He had four of this one - the one he is carrying in his pocket, the one in Omar van's, and two others at home. He needed just one or two for what he intended to do; but that was just a first idea, that was just now starting to form.

"So ka." That was his only response for a full minute. He let himself lose his concentration on the melody of the shamisen... It was not always that one of his jobs broght him to art, so he might as well enjoy. And then he forced himself to came out of his semi-trance and talk: "Listen well, Mayuri. Not once during this entire minute I was not working on a way to help you, but the fact is that I'm swimming among possibilities... Ideas that have yet to be take form. I am concerned on how to best approach the problem at hand. As far as I'm concerned, it seems easier to create a false situation, to deceive one of this two people in letting you out. And I'd rather deal with Madame Kikuya than Yoshiro. But she seems to be a sympathetic figure, I'm I wrong? It does not seem that we need to deceive her, but I'd like to have an ace on my sleeve. Do you understand?" Fractal was friendly enough to mantain a stern face, as if evaluating the music; his voice, contraty to his face, was reassuring. "I'm sorry if I bother you, but I need you to be frank: you said that maybe we could be more convincing in talking to Madame Kikuya than your are, yet you are one of the greatest geishas in Denver, and worth of her attention." - in that, Fractal let it be clear that her fame was know to him, and else let a bit of flattery appear on his discourse - "Where do you put your trust in us when you say we can be more succesful whan you were? Also, how emotionally driven do you take Madame Kikuya to be? I'd like to hear your opinion, since you must be experienced in interpreting people's souls from behind their eyes." He takes a deep breath, as if content to make the appointments he just did and to listen to the music which changes with the state of Mayuri own inner self, and then concludes: "Lastly, I'd like you to tell me what it is that suddenly makes it grows in you that desire to exit the karyūkai*? How come one of the most beautiful flowers in this garden - and the seemingly most well-adapted one - finds out that her real place is not in this ground, but elsewhere, without thinking ill of the gardener. Where's the origin of you desire to go out, Mayuri-kun?" Fractal had no shame of using a caring verbal contruction directed for young people to Mayuri; after all, he was an elf, and he could well seem older that anyone in the room.

------------

*karyūkai = the flower and willow world; the reality in which geishas are supposed to live, apart from the banal world where the casual things happen.

Sam was expecting something along those lines.

He Decided to let them believe they are superior for a while longer.
"Say, are you the yakuza?"
Sam played an imbecile, oblivious to the danger to himself.

It takes Lips a little bit longer to discretely type the text. He hopes that it simply looks like he taking notes.

@Fractal: "The only hint I have from astral observation is Mayuri's iron will and that she doesn't like to work with us very well. We should ask Mouse&Co to finding some highlights in Kikuya's life and some dirty secrets in  Yoshiro's life, to smooth our negotiations."

Sneaking?
Omar continues with very soft voice, adressing Coyote:

Well, Peaches, it may be better if you scout the are and tell us what awaits us there. If if there are any infected, you better stay back unless threat is eliminated.

Omar imagines the pack of blind ghouls hunting him down the corridors. He spent most of his life in dark shadow of Assamondo. Even his own parents was offered by his evil twin brother to ghoul shaman, as a lunch, in exchange for some dark secrets and arts. Whatever, if there are such creatures, they are not walking away from this place...

Fighting around Lagos and surrounding territory, he learns well, that the best tactics to fight those abominations is use of machines, since they are able to see human quite right. Just too bad he doesnt have flamethrower mounted on at least one of the drones.

mouse...if there are some of those monsters, I want you to stay back or run away if I fall. I have a few personal issues with their kind Im not goint to give up just beause some Yak bitch freedom.

She nodded, and disappeared in darkness. While you waited listening you felt darkness tensing. Omar's orcish eyes fared much better than Mouse's who felt the pressure physically. Lack of light encuraged smaller critters to emerge.

After several minutes a shadow emerged from the tunnel and with her a feeling of safeness had returned.

Single man. Run away when he heard us. I don't think he'll interfere. He might have set an ambush though.

She flicked on her shoulder lamp, momentarily blinding you even though the beam was directed forward and started to move. As she described earlier a small break in the wall was visible to the right. She slowed down to cautious walk. When you got to the break, you saw that it was indeed a small room or unfinished tunnel crossing, a little higher from the ground. It was ten meter long. A man was sitting at the end.

When basked in the strong light he twitched violently, shadowing his eyes. He is dressed in ragged clothes, stained and filthy, with his left sleeve torn off. The arm bloodied to the point of raw meat.
The clothes are the armored jacket of the Knight Errant...

You noticed heavy gun in his right hand ...

Don't come any closer !! His voice was harsh, rasping and he coughed as if he had a violent lungs infection.

Infected. Still fighting. Peaches whispered from her combat crouch, while she carefully inspected her motion detector. No movement around. He's alone.
Sorry for a small delay ;)
