Reading thermographic scan of knights body provided by D2, Omar is not sure why he is about to offer help to this Dead man...

Listening to what Unca Omar had to say on the issue was not what he had in mind of how to help the poor guy. He remembered an argument his parents once had; one of the few that he recalled them ever having.  He was too young to remember many details, but something his mom had said had surfaced to the top of his memory. She was yelling, "...do you really think I care about the money?!? I want my husband and our son to know his father..." Later, they both got geeked, as Unca Omar put it, between a gang and Lonestar shootout.

Uh...Mr. McDowall? Perhaps there is another way. Well, to start with, you are so worried about what Dianna would say about this, that you haven't even asked her and it sounds like she's worried sick about you. I think you should explain the situation to her and let her decide. I know I don't have any experience with women, but from observations it's when you think you have them figured out, they will surprise you. It will obviously be shocking, but once bitten, there wasn't much you can do about it and besides, who truly knows the mind of a woman?

From the work standpoint, you were obviously "on duty" when you were bitten because you were making the arrest. I'm sure the store's security cameras can confirm it. Perhaps, KE would be willing to take that under consideration??? Who knows you might even be able to work the night shift. You'd still be able to provide for your family albeit with an altered diet. As my Unca Omar put it, as long as you maintain your sanity.

Mouse began to realize that he was rambling, attempting to maybe make some worthwile suggestion, anything other than hopelessness and death. But judging by the expressions on their faces, Mouse wasn't sure if they thought his idea was a good one or if they were going to bust out laughing.

Kid...I almost understand your feelings...well...one thing you need to realize...there is no altered diet. Only human flesh. You do understand what I mean? I saw hundreds of trucks loaded with metahumans, living, screaming and begging for mercy...shipped to Assamondo...to become someones dinner. To be eaten alive.
Omar turns his face to Flynn...
I was thinking about faking your death, providing all the clues, even records of your last fight...leaving you be, so you can watch your children grow up, even protecting her from safe distance...well I`d hate to serve you your family on the silver plate...an the risk is pretty high, i you know what I mean...

Holy shit...I know this from old zombie movies. Lovely feelings, hamuanity and this crap. This is extremely contagious carrier, the disease that makes Black Death pale with envy...with no cure, with no chance to stay human. The longer would I wait until I kill this poor thing, the higher the risk that someone else got bitten...just like he was. What the hell is going on with me. Hessitation? In the situation like this?

Omar looks at the direction he hears Mouse`s breath...then he shakes his head...

A few more days with this kid and Im going to embrace trees and sniff some flowers

Sam was expecting something along those lines.

He Decided to let them believe they are superior for a while longer.
"Say, are you the yakuza?"
Sam played an imbecile, oblivious to the danger to himself.

No, I'm shaolin monk from the greek monastery and he is Bunny Five Titties the pornstar of century. I'll take your jacket though.

"Really? I think i have heard of this curios Gay couple moving to Denver, but i never imagined them meeting here. A tip for you, this teritory is under the Yakuza and they are not found of Homosexuals like you."
Before the Yakuza could get an answer out Sam continued
"Enough with the games, I am here to make a lucrative deal to your Clan, and before i go to the Oyabun of the Naito-gumi I need to meet the Shategashira under whose control this district is. So act up Like the Jingi requires of you or i should start doubting you really are From the yakuza and drop you cold like the usual gang trash who speaks big and all powerful to me." Saying the last sentences he discretely opens his jacket so the man can see his pistols, but Sam is in no way indicating using then, not yet, at least outside the wording.
"So what will it be?"

Quote from: Vice P48
More than just knowing your place, jingi is concerned with proper behavior. The Yakuza stand outside the normal social order of Japan, but they still have their place in Yakuza society. So part of jingi is behaving in a fashion that does not reflect badly on the gumi as a whole—adding to the gumi’s reputation for violence is acceptable, but wanton violence that causes significant civilian casualties is not. Dressing loudly and being rude in public is fine, but when you’re at a Yakuza function you better be polite and properly attired. Proper behavior is expected, and failure to maintain that standard will cause you to lose face—and friends.

Mouse considers what Unca Omar had to say. The thought of transporting masses of live people to be eaten alive makes his stomach turn queasy. Mouse has seen many zombie movies, though, while it was always human flesh they, Mouse thought it was more for the drama than anything based in fact--we're talking zombie movies for Pete's sake. After all, once the body is dead, what need for sustenance is there? Even if it was re-animated. Besides, flesh was flesh, what made human flesh so special? Was it some sort of hairless diet they were on???

Mouse stays quiet for a moment...

Somberly he asks ...
What is really known about ghouls? Peaches said they can be quite rational, despite their hunger. Did Assamondo do what he did out of necessity or simply because he could? To me neither reason is acceptable, but I ask the question because are we positive that human flesh is their only diet?

Mouse probably should have left the conversation alone. After all, Unca Omar was willing to give the guy the benefit of the doubt. But Mouse, knew nothing about real ghouls and the movies were made as science fiction. How reliable can they be?

"While we wait, let me ask a friend of mine. Maybe he can get us in contact with someone who knows a little bit more about the cast in our little play here."

"Hm... " Fractal thinks about Lips ideas. "The difficulties in that is creating a situation which could lead to Madame Kykuya being kept apart from the tea-house, in just one day.... That's a little bit difficult, but it seems manageable. The thing I don't quite agree with you is putting the name of the guy who would benefit the most from all this deal on the thing. Remember that Mayuri has already asked to leave, and people on the administration of the tea-house may have some ideas of why... It wouldn't be good to the couple if their history is too self-evident."

He's face, now unpretending, seems concerned. "Let's keep it all in mind, as you said, as a progress idea. But we need more information."

As Lips is about to call his contact, Fractal decides to do the same. After all, most Yakuza man are well know to spot some well elaborated tattoos - their irezumi - made in a very antiquated - they would call it traditional way. Well, there was not many tattooists in Denver (or in North America) with knowledge of the ancient technique. There's that dwarf in Seattle and his assistant, and fortunately, there's Inkling: which happens to be no less no more than Fractal's roommate! Maybe he may have heard something about Shigeo Iijima or this Yoshiro, this distrcit Yakuza lieutnant.

@Inkling: "Hey, Damien, have you some moments to spare? If you have, I'd just like to know if you have heard of some names. Shijeo Iijima and Yoshiro. They are both Yakuza guys, and the second seens to be their lieutnant from this district. [Fractal provides a ling for his GPS location.] If you know anything, or maybe know of anyone who may know anything, give me a call, okay?  Oh, and thanks for feeding the cat last night!

PS.: I left some beer in the refrigerator, but the organizer bot keeps taken it and putting it on wine box. I guess it's time for us to try to repair that damn thing. It has already spoiled a lot of things, but now he touch our booze! That's war!"

So ... you said there is no hope or is there? The voice is rasping as previously, but you can hear that it is no longer as decided as previously.

There isn't. Just like Igbo said. You die, though you'd probably be dead already if you were going to, or you transform. If you do transform you change into monster. Brain damage is inevitable, though degree varies. You might end up as dogbrained brute, and you won't recognize your family or with only minimal damage similar to the BTL addict. When the hunger hits, you'll turn into beast regardless until fed. Peaches voice was calm, soothing.

There is no doubt. You can eat only human flesh. No other will satisfy the hunger even if it will keep you alive. Prolonged starvation will lead you to insanity.

There is a ghoul community in this tunnels. They'll welcome you. Put to work if you get much dumber, use you if you'll be able to be useful. Being an ex-cop should count high. There is a meat market in Aurora where they buy food. If you get to them you'll live, you can even hope to see your wife and help her from distance. But if you close in they'll shoot you down. There is no hope only chances. 50% that you'll live it, 25% you'll remember Diana, 10% to ever see them again. It's a bet: you loose - she loose. What Igbo is proposing is a win situation for her, no dices.

I ... I don't know ... what should I do? Flynn asks you again.

they outnumber you -2
you have weapon +1 (it gives you the edge, but they don't know you can quickdraw it)

Inkling is loyalty 1 contact. You share flat and help each other, but not much more really. One of the things is that while you left him your message. He is yet to return you call.

"Then you might enjoy this one 'Grüß dich, wie hast du das.' and for the second part, I'm actually in the middle of something. If you eventually can spare some seconds: My friends and my humble self are looking for intel about two Yakzua called Shijeo Iijima and Yoshiro, working around this tea house in [current location]. It's not your actual métier, I know, but I hoped you could refer us to someone whose it is."
