Next week welcomed you at the South Platte Park in the Sioux sector. Place unlike other for it gang wars history and multiple death records happening overnight also a known place for doing business.

When Omar and Mouse arrived, and shortly after them Silk someone was already onsite.
Tabitha warned you earlier. @Omar: I figured, that you might talk with both of them at once. Couldn't find male-ninja-muscle-gunner-with-a-car, but I got one without the car. You'll recognize Snakebite - an Orc in a tailor made suit.

Snakebite was directed here by Sam in a similar fashion as Silk. Someone was looking for a muscle with some addtional skills. Job details weren't known except for that they are to prepare themselves for a 'run in two weeks.

A well-groomed ork was seated in a bench reading a thick book. Yes, a real book, like the ones back in the day made in real paper. even though he really seemed to read it, it would be clear for the perceptive ones that this guy was also keeping an eye on his surroundings. That place was rightly unusual for one to find an ork reading a real book at any time, and the situation is even more unlikely when one takes into account the fine attire the guy was wearing: a tailor-made chalk stripe suit, complete with a silvery pocket watch which now rested in his left hand - others couldn't see it, but the small device was projecting an ARO which simulated it's absent needles.

Snakebite didn't mind waiting. In fact, most of what he did involved careful waiting, so that's a feeling he is quite used. What he didn't like was that Sam hadn't really explained a lot about what he should expect of this meeting.

Tabitha's message popped up inside her head just as Silk was struck again. She squealed and fought against the restraints around her wrists and ankles.
Great, finally a real job interview! I thought this city was supposed to be some kind of 'runners paradise, with so many different powers piled together in a small area and all of 'em trying to get an edge over each other. Jobs were supposed to just fall into your lap here. But great, I can finally start building a new career here! Her mood started to lighten up.
One more lash from the whip. The man circled around to face her, grinning sadistically while drool poured out of his mouth, soaking his leather mask. He asked her if she wanted more and called her names, but before she could answer lashed out again. It stung like hell, that one was going to leave a mark; she hated that.
She bit back the pain, knowing that answering wouldn't help. She just moaned as if it hurt more than it did; maybe he'd go a bit easier on her... But he didn't.

Longfeather's message, on the other hand, killed her mood entirely.
Trail of blood, Karakuchi Massacre... The first job interview he gets me in a city filled with spies is with some kind of butchers?! What...
She started composing a mental message in reply but her masked assailant apparently noticed her absent-mindedness, hit her hard and tore off her trodes. "******, you pay attention to me and ****** me alone!"
That does it.
"Ghostwalker", she said in a calm voice.
"Screw you!", the man replied, reaching for his whip again.
"Look you dick, it's a safeword for a reason. I'm done with this. Untie me."
"I ain't finished yet, b*****! I paid for the full two hours! We got an agreement."
"And we agreed to stop when I said the safeword, Ghostwalker. I used it. Now uncuff my wrists and let me go."
She fought harder against her restraints, but the metal only bruised her wrists.
"Beg, *****", she man shouted, readying his whip to strike.
Screw this asshole.
"I said, uncuff my wrists."
The bastard dropped his whip and uncuffed her wrists, the look on in his eyes showing a strange mix between puzzled and angry.
The moment her wrist were free, she reached underneath the small chair, grabbed the taser she'd gecko'd there and slammed it into his chest, sending somewhere around a million volts coursing through his body. Silk unchained herself further and gathered her clothes and belongings. She looked at the drooling man on the ground and fired her taser again. "Disgusting pig.", she said. On her way out, she didn't bother walking around his body, instead walking right over it and applying the full pressure of her heels on his chest and groin. At least she'd found a way to vent some of her anger.

>> @Mark Longfeather "Thank you for both job opportunity and warning. I'll check it out and will find a way to repay you for your efforts. Should you come across something or someone with a little more... subtlety, though, I'd be grateful for contacting me."
A fraggin' trail of bodies? Are you sure you don't want to just keep this job instead?
>> @Tabitha "Thank you for your faith, Tabitha. I'm certainly interested and confident we'll all be able to work together."

A week later, Silk stepped out of her car at the entrance of the park and ordered it to find a nearby parking space. She'd been through a couple of these new team meetings before and had to admit to herself she liked the excitement of meeting a new bunch of Shadowrunners. None of 'em were ever quite the same and you never knew quite what to expect. Of course, she usually figured them out in a minute or ten, but they were an exciting ten minutes.
Casually approaching the Ork on the bench the was supposed to go to, she asked him "Excuse me, do you know how to pronounce this?" as a holoprojection showing the word "ME3XTS" appeared, hovering the palm of her extended hand.

It was an strange movement that closed the book as the elf girl shoot her question. A mixture of controlled grip tightening and an spasm.

As the guy looked up to see the projected word, his eyes appeared from under the brim of his hat. There was a glint of surprise as he saw the name of the one he was expected to wait; he thought the Lagosian ork would be alone.

What does that mean? Snakebite thought the dust had already settled after the last fiasco, but one can be never sure. Even then, it's not yet time to get all jumpy.

"I've been asking the same question myself. Can't say I'm satisfied with my guesses yet." - His voice invokes a remembrance to some old blues music, but it's not easy to decide on an specific artist. The gentleman maintained his eyes deeply focused on the elf girl, as to not be caught unaware. - "So, may I ask who are you, miss?"

Meanwhile in the garrage:
Omar wasnt even done with repairs on Dobermann, when the package from Stalker arrives. He spends a few hours just watching the machine as it stands there, assessing the chrome reflections and elegant curves, power and effectiveness inherited into the technology.
It was quite different from okadas he grew up assembling in Lagos. But not that different. He knew exactly what he has to do. Gyro stabilization was crucial, new cerebellum for the bike. But...before he starts...
Raging sound of high powered engine spined at the high RPM disturbed Mouse from analyzing Fractals data. Cat screamed with fright and disappeared under covered Rover. Omar grins. Nice.
When Mouse came to have a look, Omar adds full throttle one more time and turns the engine off.
I`ll be working on this when Im finished with D1, so we dont have to go for the next mission on foot. Hmm. Any luck digging up some info about this Silk Tabby was talking about? There is some time, we set the meeting in a few days. Tabby also sent me the last piece of our puzzle, guy called Snakebite. None of us is exactly sharp tongued, so it doesn`t depend who will talk at the meeting, we better have as many informations prior as we can.

"Yeah... I didn't think you looked the part."

The holographic word vanished as Silk theatrically waved her hand in the air and sighed with frustration.
"Figures. I speak over half a dozen languages and can do things with my voice a parrot could only dream of, but somehow I still get to meet with a guy who's name I can't pronounce."
She tilted her head sideways and looked at the well-dressed ork inquisitively.
"Strange, though. Lenny didn't say anyone else'd be here. He sent you too, mister ...?"

Mouse wasn't sure if it was the sudden roar of the engine that startled Mouse from his work or if it was the sudden digging of cat claws in his chest from when Mephistopheles bolted to the under carriage of the rover.

Mephis quickly determined that in his new environment upon which he began to thoroughly explore, that the warmest and softest place to nap was on the small human and safety could be found within the darkness of the covered metal. The small human didn't seem to mind being used as a couch although he felt that human should pet him more. The bigger fellow just seemed content in tormenting him. Mephis did find the big fellow's socket set to be a most fun toy to play with and it was most satisfying when the big fellow had to go looking for one of the pieces especially after the loud noise he made.

Rubbing his chest Mouse got up to see what the fuss was about.

"No, he didn't. But maybe he and the one who gave me a call had some friends in common. " The ork answered, while measuring the girl. So she was a talker, and it seems like it will be a collective job interview.

He didn't drop his security measures, but it certainly seemed like that. After dropping the book in a suitcase, he rises from the seat and stands a hand for the girl in greeting.

"So this strangely named guy appears to be late, and that there's a chance for us to work together. I'd rather enjoy the time we are waiting knowing a possible team mate than sitting idly. You may call me John, for brevity sake. Shall we sit, miss ...?"

Still rubbing his chest, Mouse had pretty much finished his data searches and was about to give Unca Omar the rundown:
Quote
Searching for information on Silk and Snakebite, based on the information that Unca Omar was able to provide
Data Search(4) + Browse(3) + 2TM
I made a total of 10 rolls (some critical successes in there) he wasn't in a hurry
9d6.hits(5)=5, 9d6.hits(5)=2, 9d6.hits(5)=2, 9d6.hits(5)=3, 9d6.hits(5)=2, 9d6.hits(5)=2, 9d6.hits(5)=3, 9d6.hits(5)=3, 9d6.hits(5)=6, 9d6.hits(5)=2
I've found some bike armor for us and ordered the data cable and a micro tapper drone. I even ordered a fiber optic tapper I will need help installing for Wiz. Here's what I found out about our other colleagues. <<ARO: of data on potential new hires>> In order to find out more about Ursela (the Mage) I would need to hack the KE databases. I think I might wait on that considering you are already wanted and all...

Okay, good. It was an easy trap and he avoided it, better than nothing.
"Silk. That's my handle. Nice to meet you, John. "
She sat down next to him and looked at the item in his hands.
"A book. Really? That's... original, I guess. You don't happen to know anything more about the guy we're supposed to meet?"

Knowing that South Platte park isnt the safest place in the Denver, Omar decides to take the risk. He did used the sidecar. Just in case. At least it isnt in Pueblo controled sector.Things are difficult enought as they are.
He avoids attention whole way down, accompaniend just with FlySpy and mouse on the ride. Following the traffic, he didnt even had a chance to try the full performance of the engine, but that wasnt the purpose of this trip and Omar was a bit lost in thougts for the most of the way. When he parked his bike on teh agreed spot, he saw other two attendants of the meeting were already there. He removes his helmet, leaving hangs it on the handlebar, he walks to take a seat. He sits to face the Snakebite face to face, and addreses him directly:
My name is Omar. I suppose you know me by my callsign, well since Im not too forged in face to face communication,Ive never tried to use it outside matrix.
He gave Snakebite opportunity to introduce himself, pulling out the cigarette and lighting it up. Steel oldschool zippo, with C&C insignias, clicked and Omar takes a deep breath, listening to other mans words.
@Mouse: On site, ready for scan sequence.

Silk turned her head towards the new arrival and raised an eyebrow.
Really? He's just going to ignore me? And a second later. Wait. I know this guy.... FRAG! It's him!
"Holy drek.", she whispered so only the ork next to her could hear it, her lips barely even moved. "Isn't that the guy all over the news?"

Quote from: ooc
I should probably resolve this other way mechanically adding some modifiers, calculate time etc.... it's not critical, and Mouse is capable... still ... both aren't first news pages stars

Snakebite - little is known about him, he supposedly work with smugglers from Five-by-five, he supposedly does wetwork. Wasn't caught, nobody has ever linked him with anything hard way.
Silk - even greater enigma - she is supposedly high class prostitute for those with special requirements, and she was seen around Koshari elder.
Sorry for a small delay ;)

What a nice view it was! The two orks staring at each other, measuring themselves. The Sixth World sure is a novel place.

Just before the biker arrived, Snakebite was about to show the girl the book cover and explain why was it that he was spending his time reading it. But now he just left the suitcase alone and grinned at Omar.

"So here we are. Well, I believe you've been told my handle: Snakebite. It's a good handle for negotiations, but a little awkward for everyday conversations, so you may call me John, if you please." Introducing the girl was out of question, as he wanted to know if the guy was really here after her.

Then he heard that sound on the back of his head, and if it wasn't Silk's voice he would be sure he was hallucinating. No time to wonder on his own sanity, though, 'cause the information really matched and the one staring at his face was none other than the face in the news. Omar Gibo, was it?

"So, Omar, do you want to tell us what the deal is?"
