In the dark sky's above the convoy the attack begins, the predator makes an attack run on the  cloaked Wolfhound that is acting as over watch. Right as the drone begins to track the wolfhound, the Predator's Ares MP-LMG rack's its first round the target goes evasive. With luck on Tachikoma's side the Wolfhound only gets a small jink off before being ripped apart by the LMG's full burst. When the drone gets taken out the convoy begins moving in evasive formations, sliding from side to side, making it harder to target from the air.

Having created a new account on the turret's main control you think the work is done, "mentaly" turning to the vehicles drive node to begin a hacking and creating a new account. The chess board changes the bright white chess pieces change to blood red, signaling something perhaps an alarm. As the moment happens one of the pawns changes into a mounted knight and swings a sword at the white girl avatar.

Basically Rybka tripped the matrix alarm a moment before Tachikoma began it's attack, at the moment the alarm went off the whole convoy was on alert, so they begin evasive driving, including the drone. The drone was running on pilot/auto-soft so it's dodge sucks.

It all boils down to the convoy is now on High alert and 10 minutes out from the ambush position.

Satisfied with the destruction of the overwatch drone, Tachikoma tried to access the account that Rybka had set up for it. In the van and over the matrix channel, Tachikoma's icon gave a banzai-type cheer. Overwatch destroyed. Now attempting to play with the missiles. Doesn't matter if they hit or not, but I'll see if I can't take out the lead car with them. Just for fun.

Smiley begins his own prep, zippping up his jacket and checking his shades.  Then he looks inside for the triggers he needs to activate his magic.  While still following the action on his comms, his minds eye shows him in Jodie's Place, he is behind the bar of the empty saloon, picking out three shot glasses and three very special bottles.  A shot from each bottle into its own glass and the potent magic is ready. Liquid fire, bottled lightning and pure uncut adrenaline await the proper moment to be consumed.

A split of nanosecond passed, enough time for Rybka's brain, operating in digital speed, to compute something went wrong; really wrong, and then there's already dangerous code being directed at her persona. Her favorite metaphor shows it as a knight swinging a sword. Immediately, she starts codeslinging her own defensive maneuvers.

Is crouched behind cover waiting . On hearing both Smiley and Ry over the channel Marak smiles and mutters "Just like with Morg" and shakes his head with a wry laugh. " Let de boomba begin mon"

In a moment, Rybka starts weaving some code intended to overwhelm her adversary's attacking program and crash it.

Crash program is an opposed test of Hacking + Exploit vs. Firewall + System. Remember that, since an alert was issued due to Rybka's actions, the node receives a +4 bonus on Firewall against her.

The Red Knight drops back and raises its triangle kite shield in front of its body, in its right hand the sword shatters as the crash program breaks through. Instead of using sword his hand is filled with a mace. Having readied its weapon the knight swings the red mace at the Black queen. The attack is viscous and fast, not a simple attack program but a blackout IC. Who ever is on the other end means business, and is out for bear.

The Red Knights mace connects with the Queen’s forearm, and pain lances through Rybka's head like white hot agony. For a moment the VR world spins, and goes fuzzy when the VR world comes back into view the Knight has begun pressing forward, mace in hand.

As the mace connected to the Queen's arm, Rybka felt a sudden headache, as if all her brain arteries were exploding. The excruciating moment was present for only a moment, but the damage was done, she was tired and worn, and her migraine would take a lot of time to subside.

The worst thing was to remember the effects of being attacked by Black Ice - she was now trapped into this node until she managed to defeat it.

On the next moment, Rybka commanded Sniper - her own attack program - to run. It's a non-lethal weapon, design just to impede intrusors in her systems... but this user will have it coming.

Rybka just spends her Complex Action to run her Attack program (rating 5, with Targetting option); with that, her payload limit is exceeded, and her response suffers a little bit for it.

Teddy sat calmly in the van and listened to the commlink conversation. When he heard a light groaning in the back of the van he turned around and saw Rybka, little beads of sweat covering her forehead. He couldn't really understand what was going on right now, but hoped for the best - awaiting the storm to come.
