We need to get this book out of here, Hank thinks to himself as he scans the goons in the alley. Taking a deep breath, he slides through the doorway and attempts to slip onto the dumpster and past the guards.


Ok, this may be absolutely bat-shit insane to do (I'm writing this prior to rolling, and will go with it regardless of what comes up), but here goes:

As a reminder, Hank's chameleon suit is activated, so there's a -4 dice pool to see him. It also has 4 ranks of thermal damping, so the -4 should apply even if the goons have thermographic vision (seems a safe bet).

With a series of commands, Tachikoma sends the tank drone into the alleyway, the stealth fading in an obvious threat, while the helicopter drone flies overhead, looking for possible snipers. The tank drone backs up said threat by unleashing a long, narrow burst of automatic weapons fire at the man holding the shield.

After the drone has completed its burst, a red dot appears on the rear panel. A moment later from the roof top across from the back door  a smoke trail appears, followed buy a controlled explosion from an anti-vehicular missile. (Shoulder mounted verity)

Tachikoma's aerial drone only picks up the heat trail, the men are under camo cloaks on the roof top.


Evil smile. Tachikoma needs to soak: 16p/-6ap against the drone.  Also guys near the door soak 1 stun (from the shock wage)

Damnit, this is not good. We need to get this book out of here, Hank thinks to himself as the bullets rip through the alley and the "goons" disappear. As he starts to step into the alley, a small light under the van at the end catches his attention. Thinking quickly, he spins, grabs one of the grenades from the troll, lobs it under the van, and dives back into the kitchen.

Dodge, if needed (3 skill + 6 reaction): 9d6.hits(5)=2; if the tacnet applies: 2d6.hits(5)=0. No help there.

"What the...." seeing what Hank is doing I dive back and duck n cover

Diving for cover I assume is dodging so  9d6.hits(5) → [5,1,1,4,6,3,6,3,1] = (3)

Smiley FINALLY manages to drag Mr Grey into the kitchen, still fighting to improve his grip on the strategically dead weight foe.

What comes over the team comms is a litany of what must be AI curse words in several different languages, including Binary. The general gist of it, however, is Tachikoma wishing for the one who fired that rocket to, in polite terms, 'input an active chainsaw to their output and be decompiled'. Whatever that means.

The tank drone backs away, around the corner, taking cover behind the building. As much as it hated retreating, the tank was too important for Tachikoma to risk it in this situation. However, at the same time, the rotodrone sprayed the area where the rocket came from with rounds, hoping to pin them down and keep them from launching another missile. As that happened, the van launched the Reaper drone again, sending it up over the city. Tachikoma was NOT pleased, and someone was going to pay for that.

Using suppressive fire on the rooftop the missile was shot from. Anyone in the area, but not behind cover or prone, or that moves into or out of the area until Tachikoma's next pass gets a chance of catching lead. Damage is 7P, -2 AP. Must beat a threshold 5 to avoid being hit.

In a fluid motion, the girl points her gun to Mr. Grey head, and with an emotionless voice she completes: "We both heard him; I'd rather not make a mess of my clothes with your grey matter, but that's your call."

First of all, Rybka's dice pool is greater than 20; I will just roll 20 dice (I don't know if you're using that optional rule or no), but I will also declare what are the other bonuses that she has, so that you can make the situational negative modifiers be discounted for these, instead of the dices rolled:
+ 2 (Character is wielding a weapon) + 7 (Teamwork Smiley bonuses) for a total of 9 "surplus" dice
5 (Charisma) + 4 (Intimidation) + 2 (First Impression) + 3 (Kinetics) + 6 (Empathy Software 6) = 6 hits
And if there's no penalty greater than -13, then it stays as 6 hits.

The gernade bonces and rolls under the van, skidding to a halt. A second later there is a bright light and the van explodes, sending a moderate fireball into the air.  Now the alley is blocked by flaming wreckage.

Tachikoma:
I'm going to say you've cleared the blast radius (I've hit that drone enough. As for  ordering the drone to attack the roof thats a complex action, you've done two complex actions already: shoots, and dodge are both complex. You only have two IP passes and ordering the drone is another complex action so it'll have to wait until next turn)

Smiley & Rydka:
Mr Grey does not gulp or change his voice when he responds but sweat starts on his exposed skin,"Now I would love to help you but that is not possible the moment I...."

Smiley hears from the comlink: "Asset Compromised, activate operation safety"

Smiley quickly spins Mister Grey away who falls to the ground. A moment later Mister Grey's head explodes, showering everyone with blood, bone and grey matter, making a great mess. As if to complement the explosion of the head, Mister Grey's comlink also self detonates. Smiley who used his body to shelter Rybka gets hit by a moderate blast way causing his eye to go cross for a moment before recovering. With alley blocked by flaming wreckage of the van and the front covered by snipers the team is pinned down.
