So I am still at my work, wasting a little time while waiting for the phone technicians to finish working, and I had the urge to do some npc background writing.  I have not actually stated this NPC up yet, but the background is done and I thought I'd share.  I don't have my books, so if I goofed on something rules wise, please let me know.  I would definitely like to hear your opinions.  Thanks.

Jessica Andrews aka Diva

From an early age, Horizon Corp was grooming a new protege for the stage and screen. Born the daughter of two of Horizon's promising actors, Jessica (no last name) wanted for nothing except a true family. Unfortunately, she was the product of a Horizon social engineering program that involved combining genes of their better talent to produce babies with greater potential. Her mother held her for all of 2 minutes after birth, her father... never saw her. Instead she was raised in a Horizon Commune, a place where her talents were allowed to soar and her abilities ripen beyond measure. Soon she began demonstrating an ability to influence others around her and her presence could not be denied. Horizon built on this and gave her the skills she would need to be a true star, someone they could use to influence the masses.

Then, at the age of 16, reality set in. A team of Shadowrunners raided the commune and took her by force, injecting her with a serum that made her senseless. When she came to, she was in a ramshackle apartment, and across from Jessica sat her mirror image, just much older. Sabine Andrews explained to Jessica that she was her mother. She hadn't known that the Corporation was going to take her daughter from her after birth and she did all she could within the system to get her daughter back. She became such a problem to management that she was let go from the company and blackballed from doing any work within the industry. Using all the resources she had at her disposal, Sabine spent years tracking possible whereabouts until one day she saw a special on a Horizon Media Channel about up and coming proteges, and Jessica was featured. Sabine called in several favors, including one from her father (Sabine would not name him, saying he would do nothing else to help either one of them) to get Jessica out before Horizon used her and threw her to the wolves as well.

Jessica, though appalled by the story of her life she never knew, found a way to contact Horizon. To her, this poor woman was delusional. She had no doubt they were related, but she did not believe for a minute that Horizon would cause harm like this woman suggested. Within 12 hours, a Horizon extraction team was blowing the apartments door in and taking everyone captive. Jessica was led to another room while her mother knelt in the living room, arms restrained with plastic cuffs, a man watching Jessica closely before turning to Sabine. No one knew Sabine had the ability to hear things in other rooms, it had always been her little secret. And what se heard next still haunts her to this day. First her mother said "Alexi, why are you doing this, she is your daughter as well. Let her go and be free to live her own life." Then a man's voice was heard "Sabine, you were always a bit thick in the head. Great tits, but stupid as a rock. Jessica will work for Horizon until the ratings fall, and then she will be used just like you as a cow to birth the next generation. I gave you the information you wanted as a means to find where you were and eliminate your pestering once and for all. Goodbye Sabine." A single loud report was the last Jessica knew of her mother.

When the man, now known to Jessica as her father, stepped in the bedroom she asked if she could talk to him alone for a moment. With tear filled eyes, she looked upon Alexi Brimmer for several long seconds before she told him to let her go. It was as simple as that. Her powers had finally come to the forefront and controlling others through her voice was the greatest of the young adepts many. Alexi escorted his daughter to the front door ad she walked away from him, hoping that she would never see him again.

Today, young Jessica Andrews works the Shadows like those that rescued her, negotiating deals for several teams and often joining the teams in the jobs, especially any involving Horizon. She hasn't seen her father since that fateful day, but with a little more street toughening, she will one day, and scores will be settled once and for all. But until then, she is known to the Street as Diva.

It's a good background.  The only problem, rules-wise, is that commanding voice doesn't work quite like that - the victim expends their next action obeying the command, then quickly re-asserts his/her wits.  So "Let me go" would be effective at making someone let go of your arm, but it wouldn't make someone escort someone to the door to obey the command.  So if you could either change it slightly (Maybe he is escorting her back with a firm grip on her arm, and she gives the command as they pass by an alley, that she quickly darts into), or have her escape by more mundane means (since they would still be assuming her to be docile).
