How to run a PvP game

I'm thinking of starting a PvP game on this forum and was looking for insight on things that could be problematic and ways to deal with them.
I'll link to the original PbP thread so you can get an idea what I'm talking about, but I was thinking that there might be GM's with good ideas that aren't active on the PbP boards.

Thing I'm most worried about at the moment are spirits. A mage could theoretically just summon a F6+ spirit or two and order it to "kill everyone but me" and then just hide in a closet. Or use a possession spirit, have it take over the body of one of the PC's and use it to fight other players. There just seems so little another (mundane?) PC can do against that kind of stuff.
Riggers might be a problem too.
Some stuff like Slab might be a problem too... (Were there ever any rules printed about the power, penetration and speed of the special (magical) drugs in Arsenal?)

Really would appreciate any input.

Also something that could be an issue, but as far as I see a lot less problematic than spirits.
At least with drones you can avoid their sensors, try to evade them, shake them, jam signals and you have some means to defend or attack against them. They also either need to be controlled or are quite limited with their dog brains, not capable of much more than direct engagement.
But once a spirit finds you it can track you astrally, moving at the speed of thought, through walls, floors or ceilings, so you'll never lose it. And then it'll suddenly appear 500m above and behind you and hit you with a LOS spell or power. They're also far more intelligent than drones, capable of understanding what their advantages are over mundane creatures and make full use of them.
