Yeah, thought is was Kozak, then Operator, and then realized it was Kozak.  Changed.  Again.

Just an FYI regarding plans for the next couple hours.  It is almost midnight in gametime right now.  Simply Clean would certainly be closed, and Akio might not appreciate a bunch of strangers (even if they are helpful strangers) banging on his door in the middle of the night even assuming his wife hadn't died 5 or 6 hours previously.  Besides Yokohama is on the opposite end of the bay from you guys.

The subway station is likely still open though.  Most of Tokyo's major routes run 24/7.

I was assuming that, based on the following, it was already well after midnight:

1.  It was 20:15 when we got the initial call;
2.  We all were in the middle of other things that we stopped doing to get to our vehicles;
3.  Your description of the drive and the traffic along the way;
4.  Getting to the club and waiting for everyone to show up;
5.  Conversing with Tinman about the job.

Now, it can't be more than 01:00 or 02:00, but that still only leaves about 5 hours before most normal people start work in the morning.  Which does give us some time to kill, unless we take your advice and go hit the subway station before splitting up to go to our separate locations.

Sorry Scarecrow, I got the impression from your post in the IC thread that you wanted to go start banging on doors right away.

Also, it's not quite as late as you think.  Generally when I do the post time thing I intend for it to be read as though the timestamp sets the time that you guys start taking actions.  The stuff like getting caught in traffic took place before the timestamp, so it would have been about 10PM when you guys arrived at the bar.  Tinman would have shown up shortly afterwards 10:15ish and he probably would have left around 11.  Sorry, I'll try to make that sort of stuff more clear starting now since even though it isn't critically important at this point it might become so later.

At any rate I'm just firing a short post up for now.  I've got my face to face group meeting after work tonight so I won't likely be on again until tomorrow.  If you guys want to figure out what the next step you want to take is we'll go from there tomorrow.

It's all good.  Just a minor thing with the time, and it didn't affect anything in-game, so it's not that big of a deal.  We're on the same page now, and that's all that matters.

And as far as your face-to-face group...you lucky dog, you.  A real-life table group is a thing of beauty, and I'm jealous.

I'm glad I had the opportunity to partake of one in 2005. My GM ended up moving after a hurricane, and I'd like to get involved with another tabletop group in the Miami area.

I tried running a table-top SR4 game, but my 4e D&D players didnt have the patience to learn the rules, so we stumbled through part of an adventure, then quit and went back to D&D.

I tried running a game with a few friends, but they had some bad help in the form of a newbie who believed min-maxing was the best thing to do.  Ended up getting them killed because they had little to no willpower against a mage.

We aren't that deep into the start of the campaign, so I updated Ito Fasaki (one of my contacts) to show where he works and how he is part of one of my character's qualities (Black Market Pipeline).  I hope that's ok as it won't have any impact on our initial legwork with the subway, the business, or the widower himself.

Again, it's all good.  Take care of real life first - once you do, gaming is all that much more enjoyable.

Question for the GM: The subway here, is powered by over-head wires, or a third rail? Or something else entirely? Also, does the platform 'lip over' the area where the tracks are? That is to say, if one were down on the tracks, would it b e possible to easily move out of the way of an oncoming train?

Another question for the GM:  do I need to post a roll for Aishuku sitting and timing when the trains come and from what direction?  I want to see how often they come and if they are actually on-time or if there are any variances in arrival.  I know that there is a schedule, but I want to see how often they really do come, and from what direction.  If I need to make a roll of some kind, let me know and I'll edit it in.

That may be so.  But if we find that to be the case, it may help us when reviewing security footage.  If the trains are on time, then we will either see that something was up with the train that hit her (if it was running late), or we will know that this wasn't just someone pulling a job but the job was a well played hit.
