>>>>>[Now, now, Madre. That isn't nearly as crazy as some of the trids they're putting out there. Apparently, someone in the Choson Rings convinced a naga to do some 'special' trids. One of the people I saw professionally managed to get their hands on a non-BTL version, and wanted to watch it with me. Why some people enjoy experiencing an elf girl getting screwed and then swallowed, alive and whole, by a snake is beyond me. A shot from outside the naga showed her moving around inside. Creepy shit. Almost as creepy as the fact that she paid me to contact the Choson Ring and arrange for her 'extraction' after seeing that trid.]<<<<<

>>>>>[Gorrum people. I go to bed, get some breakfast, and the convo explodes.

On the topic of Totems: I don't BELIEVE myself to be a shamanistic, but certain ones appeal to me. Coyote, Wolf, Tiger. Hadn't thought about it in a while.

Murphy: Sounds like a rip, roaring good time. I'm intrigued on what the message was now.

Here's hoping Chrona's okay, and that Money helped get him/her out.

And on a final note: Some wageslave came up to me needing to send something legit and tried to offer Corp Script for it. I mean, really? I know he looked spaced, but did he REALLY think our location was on his corp's land?

Anyways, lunch.]<<<<<

>>>>>[Card, usually corp scrip is a pain, yes, but if you play it right, you can usually get more of it, and get a good bit more for it. Though just how useful depends on what your specialty is. If you're a mage, MCT, Wuxing, or Azzie corp scrip can mean an easier time of it picking up magical goods. If you're into 'ware, Renraku or Evo corp scrip is not a bad choice. And if you can't find something at Weapons World to buy with Ares corp scrip, you are in the wrong business.

Take your time, Murphy. I'm in the hotel lounge, with a very talkative free spirit that looks like a talking pink pony.

Chrona, that's why I'm in the lounge. Easier to see who comes in that way. Also, we're about a block from Ghostwalker's Liason Office. I'd say that ZDF response to the area is under three minutes. There are benefits to sticking to the more civilized parts of the city.]<<<<<

>>>>>[Card, if you don't want CorpScrip there's an exchange set up in a variety of places.  Hit up ShadowSEA if it's' digital, and hit it up anyhow if it's physical, they have the locations for exchanges.  I like paying in it on occasion myself to keep people wondering if I'm working for a Corp or not.  ...  That and I keep getting stuck with stacks of it for some reason.]<<<<<

>>>>>[ I don't generally like being paid in corp scrip. Sadly, quite a few of my usual clientelle pays in it. It's an absolute nightmare sometimes for shadowmerchants like me, because we probably see more varieties of currency than almost anyone else. So it helps to keep up with the money markets for the best times to cash in on the scrips we receive, and when not to accept currency from a certain mega. We probably know as much about the market than brokers do. ]<<<<<

>>>>>[Good points on the script. I just prefer to have something that my local Stuffer Shack will automatically take instead of me having to go to someone else, hope the exchange rate isn't horrible, and then go get my large soda. Maybe I'll take the next job that offers some, as a back up. So long as it isn't like in that one classic 'cyberpunk' story, where normal cash requires like, trillions to buy anything..but thats because they aren't worth the paper they are on.

And you'd be surprised Ice. I don't actually use weapons in my line of work. Never really liked them. Helps that usually when some fool of a ganger tries to mug me, he doesn't automatically go for his gun when he sees I'm not packing. Makes it easier to hit them a couple times in the face. Being able to hit like a taser doesn't hurt either.

Chrona: Good to hear you're..well...safer then you were. Sorry if I offended with the him/her. Your name doesn't exactly lend to either one.

Murphy: I'm tempted to ask what ti's like to make love to a Naga. Can't be that weird.]<<<<<

>>>>>[Keep an eye on the exchange rate.  With corp scrip it's usually pretty close to 1:1 for nuyen, as that's the "Currency" they use, even if they call it something else.  There is some fluctuation due to a variety of things, especially on the shadow market.  Successful/unsuccessful runs, new products, stock performance, how they're doing in Urban Brawl/Desert Wars, and so on.  If you can afford to a good stock of them, you can sometimes get 25% more in Nuyen even after the exchange fee.

Smiley, hope you brought your thermal undies!]<<<<<

>>>>>[Card, they do sell grenades there. Whether flash-bangs or something more high powered. Plus, when dealing with certain groups, trading in weapons (especially 'clean' weapons) makes for business opportunities you wouldn't have otherwise. Also, while some people might not draw on you if you're seemingly unarmed, there are those who will start with guns drawn, seeing you as an easy mark. And you go through an area like Redmond or even parts of Puyallup without carrying something bigger than a holdout, and people will assume that you're magic, and shoot first before looting your corpse. Even for mages and adepts, having a gun actually helps prevent conflicts. People are more likely to lower their guard when they see you carrying a weapon, but not going for it.

Smiley, who the hell was so important someone paid you to go to Antarctica to kill them?]<<<<<

>>>>>[Eh. I figure, make myself a small target. Thus the reason my chameleon coat on my bike is usually set to "Look junky" when going through those areas. That, and go as fast as I can. Moving target, etc etc. Don't take alleys, I drop a bribe or two here and there. Helps keep the major gangs off my rear, and usually if i'm in that sort of territory, I don't have to worry about much else. I guess weapons just don't resonate with me well. Don't like the feel, the weight. I'm not disgusted with them, I just feel like I'd be more likely to just start shooting for absolutely no reason. Eh. Maybe I'll invest in some kind of stun baton one of these days or something. I can live with that at least.

Ugh. I'm not drunk enough for personal philosophy.]<<<<<

>>>>>[There's some Stun Batons with Taser Darts built into them on the market, gives you range as well as defense, and prevents people from thinking you're unarmed, and make even a troll think twice about dealing with you.  Legal in the nicer parts of town too with a license, which I have with all my SINs, but never have been hassled for, still good to have.  Look me up when I get back to town, I can hook you up with some guys that deal in weapons of all sorts, even exotic stuff.

Um, Mr. Iceblade, is that really what it looks like?  I mean, something that expensive just can't be out in the open!  Oh, frag, didn't mean to post that!]<<<<<
