I knew GridSec Officer that burned the brain of a teen technomancer in 2071. This loving mother of 2 was horrified at what she had done, yet the corps reassured her the kid was a dangerous threat to society. Her co-workers dehumanised him and she found meaning in her work catching technomancers. She thought she was making a difference, then one day the horrible truth was splashed all over the matrix. I still check on her kids from time to time, her son still keeps the suicide note. I am not saying you shouldn't kill the monster they have become, but consider that the blood mages, toxic & Insect shaman were not as you see them now.
