>>>>>[Why Thor? Communications on the ground were still a mess. More witnesses to a cruise missle flying overhead. First you have to get a cruise missle within range. That last part is probably part of what they meant by being able to get an Omega team into position before he moved. And really, when you absolutely have to be sure, there's Thor.
As for how much warning he could have gotten, while I'm sure he probably had someone on ZO, I don't know how much time he could possibly have had. Best case scenario, he had nine minutes to get out, and that's assuming that he had a guy in the comm room on ZO that called him the moment the info came into the orbital. If his guy was someone in the courtroom, like a bailiff, then he wouldn't have gotten any warning at all, because you simply don't make calls out of a session of the CC, yeah? So let's say somewhere under nine minutes to grab computers and credsticks, get to the car, start it up, and drive like hell. Assuming he was awake at the time.
As for where he was? I'd start with the UCAS, on the east coast. I say this because of KSAF trying to get in on the story, and the times being done in EST. Doesn't mean anything for certain, but there ya go.]<<<<<
