I'm gonna cry!" give it to the Draco Foundation or the Atlantean Foundation, either of them, if it's genuine bad juju, they'll take care of it for you.]<<<<<

>>>>>[Oh hey. My matrix connection is back on.

Good ancient and terrible gods. I need drinks. Heavy drinks. The kind that they don't even let borgs drive after drinking. Once I get my head something closer to righted, and I'm sure my home is still mostly in working order and one piece, I'll see about activating storytime mode.

You have no idea how badly I missed all of you. Even you two, Smiley and Autumn, you crazy sociopaths. That's how bad my world has been rocked these past few months.

At least I still have my bike, my digs, and my Grandpa.  Xie tien. ]<<<<<

I'm not the most wiz worm, I'll admit, but I saw this guy who was... more drake than drake? Looked like he was in his 20's (plain human in looks. And I mean plain!). He was whoopin' it up like a teen and annoying what looked like a coupla handlers. I decided the other end of the floor was more fun.]<<<<<

>>>>>[ Those drinks would be welcomed, as would be good company outside of my usual employer. And bring that recording, and I'll bring something to watch it on...or one of those trode nets or something. You know how I am what with no cyber.

Powerline would be best. I need something not local just for a night, so I can re-acclimate. 2 months or so worth of job, and I just came up for air after being in a hole in the wall somewhere east of here. I really could use the chance to get my feet back on proper ground and get the pulse back in my system, if you savvy. I can chill with my more legit-working mates tomorrow, or maybe next week. I have this real bad feel to make sure I got someone who can watch my back for some friendly drinks right now. Just...goddamnit. God damn Aztech, Odin damn Japan, and why not?  Baron damn Asia in general at the moment (Apologies in advance if you happen to see this, Grandfather). I thought freaking Aztland was messed up, but....frag me. I need those drinks ASAP before I break down again. Powerline, two hours.

Wait, did I just say I wanted Smiley watching my back? I must be worse off then I thought. Though...eh, I guess it could be Morg (just kidding guy)]<<<<<

>>>>>[Oh! That was a wild one! Hahaha! I sure missed those crazy nights! Denver is fun, but not that kind of fun!

I'm almost hurt Card! I didn't made it this far by making only enemies! You know when trouble finds you, you can always come to me. Most of the time, I scare the drek out of trouble! I'm the one running after it! I'm not cheap but sometimes, all it costs you is to sit down and drink yourself to near ethylic coma with me for the night. You get protection, women and drinks for an entire night and I get some good company to prank and tease a little! That's more than a fair deal don't you think?

Oh and talking about women, Jiao, Xin and Mei would like you to know that you were amazing company but they'd like their panties back. They'll be in touch. Hahaha!!!]<<<<<

>>>>>[Ah, Smiley. Don't ever change. And hope you liked the recording, Card. I've only showed that clip to a couple people. Simrigs tend to go wonky when the person wearing it is possessed by a spirit, of course. Given the current climate (and my own issues with the bastards to the south) I keep that clip on chip only, but since everyone here has already heard the story, there's no harm showing it around. Good thing you were running in cold sim, though. The point where I got a couple limbs bitten off spikes past safety limits.

Oh, Xerena? I was on 'business' with one of the ladies we met up the well after that incident, and she mentioned you. If you would like to make some extra cred, it seems she's looking for a first experience, if you catch my drift, and wanted it to be with someone famous. Told her I'd pass it along.]<<<<<

>>>>>[You can tell them my address, and they can come pick them up, hehe. Those were VERY fine girls, and I do wish to woo them farther.

Oh god last night was just what I needed. Thanks to all three of you.

Anyways, horror story time now that I don't feel like I'm gonna faint just by telling it.

So, Grandfather and the other leaders involved in the Lotus (We're talking about THE Lotus. not the Yellow, or the Red. The Parent organization that runs it all, or so my Grandfather says) were hearing disturbing rumors about some messed up things possibly happening on the shores closest to Japan. Each one of the groups got to choose a representitive, and apparently I'm the only one he trusted enough for this mission. (not saying he doesn't trust me, but choosing me over a Blood Oath? Maybe that's what family does I guess.)

So, Later that week, me, a sam from the Red, a shaman from the white, and a...I think he was a B&E specialist from the Blue Lotus arrive on Chinese soil. Everything's perfectly set up so far, right? Thor bless my ignorance, I should have remembered all the tales I heard of runs starting good, and going bad. So, we start finding the evidence trail almost immediately. News paper about a town quickly loosing population, about how it's the second town in three months. So we head on over there, passing word off to our contacts so that if we needed a quick way out, we could get one.

Things went south so slowly, it speeds up when I remember it. We get to town, and it's just eerily silent. Scouting it out, we catch sight of a hand full of Aztech trucks. We figured that was plenty weird enough, given that Asia isn't usually their turf, outside of the convince stores. What was odder was the fact that it seemed some of these trucks were manned by Asians, soon confirmed to be Japanese Samurai Salarymen by Red. A quick peek the astral nearly made me give up our location: Those trucks were full of.....something. Something and dead bodies and oh god WHAT WAS THAT THING.

[Connection lost.....reconnecting...reconnecting...reconnecting...restored]

Guh..sorry about that. Almost zapped my comnlink. Anyways, so me and the B&E specialist move in closer to try and confirm who they work for. Mind you, the mage is back behind with the sam, ALSO trying not to loose his dinner. Unfortunately, the non-Azzie soldiers didn't wear their corp on their sleeve, but I got some pictures if anyone wants to look into it farther. Grandfather asked me to spread the word on this.

So, grabbing our vehicles after stealthily retreating, me and the mage hiding somewhere for about 20 minutes, and then cleaning up, we barely leave soon enough to try and tail the truck. Actually works pretty well...or so I thought. I think they knew someone was following, and wanted some extra....test subjects...or sacrifices. or something. Had to be, because getting in was FAR too easy. As was getting out. This repeated again with a different city...those poor souls..I wish I could have done something, but at least I'm here now. The second base was worse...we got in like last time, and our B&E guy started downloading the files to everyone's links, a precaution to make sure if SOMEONE got out, the job would complete. The things I saw while waiting for him to finish.....people in cages, half alive, some half eaten and still alive...And the files are worse. If you REALLY want them, send me a private...I'm not just going to release this drek onto the open 'trix with out good reason, whether or not it might get Aztech hit with a few Thors.

And then...like it so often happens...our exit was ruined. A security patrol stumbled on us, and soon after them drones..and dogs...and.....Creatures. That's right. Creatures...with a capital C. Now, I haven't seen bugs, but based on the stories, I think these things are worse. I...THINK they were mostly astral? It's hard to remember, especially given that I don't WANT to remember...I know I was able to hurt one fairly bad, but he almost took one of my arms for it, and would have if the mage didn't take him out before he finished....it was like Soaking into my body. It was the worst terror EVER. The sam was pretty much gone before we could escape, though he did hold off the normal guards and dogs for a while before the Creatures got to him. We tried to pull him out...but it was like he half MELTED before we could get to him. We just ran. Dear god did we run.

So yeah. Two or three months of sitting in a bolt hole drinking as much heavy liquor as I could stomach trying to get myself to deal with the fact that Aztech and one of the Jap corps are up to something absolutely horrific..and it may be related to that thing one of you saw down near Bogata. I really don't know. All I know is I want to be ready next time I see one of them.

Actually..right now would be a good time for the girls to show up. I really, really need some company. I'm not nearly as adjusted to it as I thought. That poor samurai. I just...yeah.]<<<<<
