>>>>>[Wolfgar, its done. The screamsheets should be getting the story in a few hours, but it seems like the talking head in question got drunk late at night, and drove her car into a lake. She managed to get out, but it seems she drowned before she could get to shore. Certainly, no body has been found. Of course, there is evidence that some files were hastily (and only partially) deleted from her home's central node, giving a reservation on an orbital to Vladivostock under an assumed name, and it seems that the tickets were picked up, by a young woman matching the talking head's description, and an unknown male. They apparently hid their faces most of the time, so it could be coincidence that they managed to get things going for so long.

In completely unrelated news, I did some shopping while I was in the CAS, and picked up something new for my place in Malek'thas. Beautiful piece, with exquisite lines. And after I shared a couple bottles of Taengele Falan with a lovely lady in the Tir embassy here, she agreed to have it placed in the next diplomatic pouch to the Tir, which should be leaving... now. Ah, I really have collected quite a few sculptures lately. Perhaps I ought to open an art gallery?]<<<<<

>>>>>[Ugh, that ice sculpture thing you do is still creepy as hell. You and your mother make me have very hair raising thoughts due to your...preference for treatment of trespassers.

Anyway, time to get my mind out of the horror gutter and possibly into a different one. Hmm....cute guy...or cute girl....decisions decisions, yeah?

Anyways, I'm looking for courier work again, in case anyone needs anything moved. Normal payrates as per the rates my boss puts on packages, but I might be able to discount a little bit due to you guys being, well, at least decent friends, if nothing else. Not that our rates are anywhere near painful.

Anyways, I'm gonna go flip a coin, and have some fun tonight. It'll be nice to get back to even close to normal.]<<<<<

Zork: Yeah. I'm a Seattle sprawler. What's it have to do with being a delivery boy? You can ring me if you want, but I'm not sure what all you need to know, and I'm not sure how much it'll cost you till you start asking.

>>>>>[Since most of them tried to kill me, or my family, I can't really bring myself to care what the statues think, Card. But there is only so much you'll be able to do if you aren't able to take a life when necessary. It is no different from a sniper playing God from two thousand meters away, or the runner putting two in a corpsec's head when they're on a run. In fact, my way is far more humane than most kills. No pain, no suffering, just a simple turning out of the lights, and done. Shark is cold and merciless, and so must be any who would follow him. But I do not torture my prey without great need. Whether it is by my spells or my blade, they all fall quickly and cleanly as possible. If I had simply cut off her head, or hacked her to pieces, would you be making such a fuss?]<<<<<

>>>>>[Oh, I don't have tons. I keep the ones that are special, or that I want to keep close, and dispose of the others. Sometimes I give them as gifts at parties.

But you're forgetting something, Rider. According to my SIN, I'm still a Count of Tir Tairngir, and I still have friends in the Peace Forces. My parents are Dukes and my surviving siblings are also Counts, with connections of their own. Plus, this is Tir Tairngir we're talking about. A collection of magical ice sculptures is TAME compared to some of the things you see in the homes of nobles. You wouldn't believe some of the things I saw that time I was invited to a party on Royal Hill. Sure, the peasants revolting has weakened some of the country's magical strength, but this is still Tir Tairngir, and any noble that doesn't have something special about their home sticks out like a sore thumb.

Its like camouflage, you see. You don't wear jungle camo in the arctic, right? And wearing a suit in the Barrens makes you stick out, yeah? For a noble, 'over the top' is normal.

But yes, I have no worries on that account. See, unlike how things work in the UCAS, in Tir Tairngir the police, border patrol, and army are all part of the Peace Forces. So no, I'm not worried about the police. Even if someone broke into my estate and saw my sculptures, recognized them for what they were (and not just another example of a noble flaunting magical talent and wealth), and then managed to live long enough to get off the property and report it to the police, I could just make a couple calls, and the investigation would quietly disappear, along with the witness, if necessary. Of course, when I'm outside Tir Tairngir, I don't have the benefit of this protection, naturally, which is why, even though I spend most of my time in Seattle, I keep my collection in Malek'thas.

So no, there's no risk at all. That is because I am not like those people who run the shadows because they are trying to scramble their way out of the Barrens. Don't get me wrong, I've known some very competent runners who come from the Barrens, like young Murphy, but having a legitimate SIN that reads 'Count of Tir Tairngir' opens doors that are closed to most.]<<<<<

>>>>>[I never said I wouldn't kill if I had to. But that's very much a "IF I have to" situation. My zen allows for it specifically if it's an enemy who refuses to stay down...or if the enemy is just too dangerous. If some guy has been actively trying to hunt me and mine down after I knock him out, and is purposefully trying to kill me and mine? Well, then it's obvious what needs to happen, but I'm not going to put the guy on display like a trophy. I just find it distasteful. Now...hanging the pants or otherwise of a successful conquer? That's hilarious.

Rider: Dude, I know I'm in to the old school Toku...but aren't you taking that a little far with the name...or perhaps you have no idea what I'm talking about?

In other news: I've been hearing about a smallish (compared to other gangs with real territory) gang of rollerbladers with some soupped up gear taking land, or trying to. Might shake up the gangland layout a bit...or they'll get smushed in a week.]<<<<<

>>>>>[Ok so things sort of got worse. last night about an hour after my last post on here 2 gangs started opening fire on eachother. Gang A had an appartment next door and Gang B decided to throw a gernade at their apartment. They missed and it went into my appartment and landed on the package i needed delivered. So i was able to get out of there but when the gernade exploded along the package. A good chunk between the apatment where i live and the gangers live is gone. Also apparently it set fire to my shitty appartment. Werid part of that story is my comlink got knocked out apartently and i could not acess it till just about half an hour ago.

Second small story pertaining to the conversation. Ice thats realy fucked up. you remind me of a mage i killed on my first job. the girl was nuts and loved freezing pepole and using them as ice sculptues. she had a small place to keep them too. If i remember the story correctly she made an ice weapon out of a elf man that apparently called her sweety. ]<<<<<

>>>>>[ I am surprised you are not already dead, Card.  When you encounter resistance, you use what force is necessary to put them out of your way for however long is necessary.  If it gets back up, you are probably dead - or at least, you should be.

While I personally find Iceblade's running style to be questionable, for the type of runs he takes on, he is perfectly effective.  Nor, 'Decade Rider', is he 'slumming'.  I haven't received the information I was promised yet, but his 'trophy keeping' is no less bizarre than many of those I've seen - and in a way, more humane, because they are in fact still alive, and could be returned to a normal state.

I don't keep trophies.  It's ... dangerous. ]<<<<<

>>>>>[Actually, unless you're an elf, I'd recommend you avoid an invitation to a Tir nobleman's house, period. But no, as Hawatari says, I am not 'slumming' by playing the shadows. I'm just the kind of guy who is just as at ease sipping thousand nuyen a glass wine at Dante's as I am drinking what passes for 'beer' at Aces in Redmond. You could say it is a mix of me growing up in high society, and working in the army. As for why I run the shadows? I'd have to say it is for the thrill. You wouldn't believe how boring the life of a nobleman can be. When you're at the point where "what am I going to eat tonight?" is no longer a concern, you have a lot more time on your hands. Which is why wealthy people do stupid drek with their time and money. Because they're bored. Also, it is just fun trading manabolts with another mage, or willing a teammate's wounds to heal. Even if I didn't have personal reasons for staying in the shadows, I would still have to do something. And I'm not fond of doing corpsec work.

Of course, most people I kill die by my sword. But for assassinations, I use this spell, because it has less cleanup. Just get a blanket and a hand truck, and load them in a van.]<<<<<
