>>>>>[Well, I'll agree with Hawatari on this one. Most of the time, I find bar fights amusing to watch... Well as long as it doesn't interfere with either my business or the nice time I'm having with lovely company. If it does, then I get annoyed. I become dangerous when I'm annoyed and believe me, it's a lot worse than when I'm bored (and a lot of people still regret the times I was bored). If circumstance restrain my actions, I'll shoot one time at the wall and tell everyone to calm the frag down. If I see no consequences or fear them, I start shooting a few brawlers at random. That'll teach the lot not to ruin my evening. But there's hundreds, if not thousands, of bars in Seattle alone so what are the chances I'll be drinking beer in the same bar. Hahaha!

And personally, I don't spar with anyone. I never fight fair and I prefer keeping people in the dark about my real capabilities. There's a few tricks I was never really able to hide but the rest is safely hidden in the bag!

I've arrived in the Tir. I'll be visiting a friend for the night then I'll be there tomorrow for the party.]<<<<<

>>>>>[For those of you who weren't at the party, a great time was had by all, I believe. Thankfully, no problems arose due to Autumn's metatype. The word that she was the apprentice of an assassin of Smiley's stature appears to have gotten around fairly quickly. Also the fact that they showed up in a Banshee probably had something to do with it. Way to make an entrance, you two! And Card, don't worry. Even though there were a few young nobles who tried to get her favor, she rejected them all with that icy politeness the Japanese do so well. So there's still a chance for you!

Smiley, Arkash was quite pleased with the gift you gave him. I don't know where you got that antique Winchester rifle, but he couldn't stop talking about its condition and the engraving. And the fact that it was in firing condition made his night, I believe. Especially since he got to show off his sharpshooting skills after the martial arts demonstration was over. Also, I haven't seen Mother so happy discussing her hobbies in a long while. And the bit of divination was a nice touch. Haven't seen that particular method used before.

I am still having the footage from the competition edited, but here's a picture to tide you over. <<A picture showing Iceblade, in combat fatigues from the TTPF, with a wooden bokken. A Shark shamanic mask is visible over his features, and he appears to be wreathed in purple lightning.>>

And Xerena looked radiant, as usual. You wouldn't believe the scene when I introduced her to Mother. Well, I'll let her describe it, if she wishes.]<<<<<

>>>>>[ You mean when I did my very best imitation of a startled guppy, Miri? Right in front of his mother too, I might add. The effrontery of the man! He waltzes in there with me in tow - and nervous as hell about meeting the formidable matriarch - and before I could even say anything, he introduces me as "the woman I'm going to marry even if she doesn't know it yet." That's when I did the guppy imitation. He'd...just...gobsmacked me, if that is the right word. All I could do was stare at him in shock for a few seconds...and then he sank down on one knee like a knight of old, dressed in his very best, and took my hand in his. All he said was "Marry me, Xerena. You are the one I always come home to." And then he looked up at me. I was still shocked, unable to process it all when he took out a ring >> an image of an Ithium ring with an emerald naga stone<< and slipped it on my finger. I still don't know who in that moment was more shocked...me or his mother. That's when I came back to myself, and what he'd just done hit me. The arrogance of him! It enraged me...but at thye same time...I couldn't deny that this had been coming for quite some time. I'd...just expected him to ask me first. But there the big fool was, blithely announcing it for all and sundry to hear. Asshole! That's when my Spanish Pacion manifested itself and I slapped him once across the face - lightly, mind you - and then pulled him up and kissed him. It must have confused him a little, but he sure kissed back with matching passion.

It was only then that I managed to gather enough decorum to accept his proposal.

Rascal. if he thought proposing to me was going to slow me down in that fight though, he had another thing coming. But I'll let him tell that part of the story.

Me...I still need to fully come down to earth. I'm engaged...wow! ]<<<<<

>>>>>[That was one fragged up scene I'll never forget! Puppies were raining down the night sky, rainbows comin' out of everyone's ears, the sound of babies laughing and the smell of real, delicious bacon! Hahaha! No, not really. But everyone seemed to think it was close to that! I even thought ice cold Autumn was going to melt for a sec! Hahaha! Well that is something that'll never happen to me. The woman that'll do that to me is in for one awkward moment! That's for sure!

Yeah, I do like to make an entrance! But getting flying rights in the Tir is a fraggin' bitch. Damn! I sure had a good time discussing and exchanging notes with your mother. She probed and tested both my cunning and knowledge all evening. I didn't mind, I learned to love good challenges. I guess I impressed her because it became a little weird after that for a few minutes. She started talking about what it is was to be bearer of a title and then started talking about the available maiden in the place. If I didn't know any better, I'd say she was up to... Something...

I was sure glad that your brother liked his present. Finding the rifle was pretty easy. I remembered seeing it on the wall of a... Well someone, and I just had to contact that someone about the rifle. Thanks for the invite, it'll make my dealings in the Tir that much easier from now on, thanks to a room full of noble! It was like a premium buffet of contacts in there! Hahaha! And I found it hilarious that everyone in there seemed to be very okay with my choice of career, although a little nervous a times. Well at least the ones who knew who I was.]<<<<<

>>>>>[You had several things going for you, Smiley. First off, an assassin is a useful tool when playing the Great Game. Second, you're an elf, which counts for a lot in that room. Third, you were able to keep things civil enough to impress in 'polite' society, which means they can trust you not to be an embarrassment if they have to be in the same room with you. Fourth, nobles like a spectacle, which your entrance certainly provided. Fifth, me speaking for you (and Mother's blessing), they know you are capable of keeping your mouth shut when it comes to the important things. It is like getting a consigliere to introduce you to the don at a meeting of all the capos in an area. Just as beneficial, and just as dangerous. And yes, I'm certain she was up to something. She's always up to something. If you meet a Tir noble that isn't up to something, either you're not looking hard enough, or they're dead. But you already knew that, and I dare say you are enjoying the thought.

Now, Xerena, I wouldn't be a nobleman if I didn't have a flair for the dramatic at times. And you were so cute looking at me like that. You should have seen her, with that ring glowing white from all the spells in the area, and the emerald shining with a swirling prismatic effect. I thought gold with a diamond would be nice, but that's one of those things everyone has, sure, the ring only has the one gem, and it isn't as large as some of the rings nobles wear, but I am quite certain that it is a unique piece. And really, why would I want to propose in a normal way to her? Normal ways are for normal people, and neither of us is normal. It was better this way, I think.

Oh, and I daresay several people on this list will have invites to the wedding, once we decide when and where it will be held.

And the fight was amazing. I had Shark and a Spirit of Air to help me, she had Wolf and a Beast Spirit on her side. Even with the help of the spirit (and the electrical aura it lent me), it was a close fight. Unfortunately for Xerena, about three minutes into the duel, I managed to cut through her counterspelling with a powerful Orgasm spell, which allowed me to deal with the Beast Spirit with ease before she could recover. A dirty trick, perhaps, but it worked. For a moment, I thought she was going to make me actually knock her out, rather than concede, but her real plan was just to get her revenge on me once we were back in the changing room, away from prying eyes. Especially since I 'forgot' to end the spell immediately. OW! Sorry, someone was reading over my shoulder, and just punched me.

Anyways, I'll have the edited footage up sometime soon. It lasted about five minutes, all told.]<<<<<

>>>>[Congratulations you two! Totally saw it coming from like, the other side of the country, but still awesome.

Good to know that Autumn has a refined taste in men (no offense to other nobles in here), but I kinda doubt we'll be going anywhere for a couple of reasons. Doesn't mean I still won't look and dream though! The girls I met at the New Year's party help, as does one or two cute guys.

Either way, I'll be looking forward to the (thankfully) edited footage. Business is picking back up again through my legit employer, so I might not be on much this weekend, though we'll see.]<<<<<

>>>>>[ Thanks you all for the congratulations. Pred...of course you'd be invited. I'm not sure about a double wedding. I have no idea how these things are done in the Tir. It won't happen all that soon though. There are a number of little traditions to be followed first. For one, I now have to learn how to sew, and then somehow make an embroidered silk shirt for Miri to wear. It's part of the Spanish wedding tradition. A fusion of Spanish and Tir traditions should be...interesting.

Mmm...you make me blush, Wolfgar. In fact...I was going to ask you...since my parents are...dead...would you give me away when the time comes? I can't think of anyone I'd rather have. ]<<<<<

>>>>>[Thanks to you all. And sorry, Predator, but if I didn't have a big ceremony that Mother could show off to her rivals for, I don't know what she would do to me. You're definitely invited, though. Let's see, Wolfgar, Predator, Smiley, Autumn, Card, Murphy, Money Johnson, Mercedes. Sorry Chrona, we'd invite you, but there's still that 'sanitize with extreme prejudice' attitude towards the Infected in the Tir, and it has only grown with the Mealtime Killer and company on the prowl.

Of course, that won't be the whole party. On my side, at least, there will be some army buddies, and I at least have to invite some of the people I see in my civilian life. As for where we'll register, we've talked, and there will almost certainly be two lists. One for civilians, and one for those who might like to do something more 'practical'. You know, all the 'little things' that make a bolt hole more than somewhere to hide until the heat dies down. Still putting that list together.]<<<<<
