You have a long road ahead of you kid but keep at it and you'll be a good spell slinger for your team. One tip though, ditch Trid Entertainment. >>>>>[Well, I wouldn't say it is completely useless. Definitely not something you want to use in combat, though. But you can do wonders with it when selling a cover, or any time when you need a big, flashy distraction. Combined with drones, it can make for something effective, perhaps. I saw one kid make it look like the Wild Hunt was riding over Cara'sir before. I swear, even though I recognized the spell, I still lost years off my life from the shock. But unless you're doing a special effects show, it doesn't pay to keep it up for long.

And CE, I don't hear Dragonslayer, but Shark speaks to me, and Wolf to Xerena. The mentor spirits (or totems, as shamans call them), only speak to you if you're on the same wavelength as them. Dog shamans aren't loyal because they hear Dog. Dog shamans hear Dog because they are loyal. That's the simple version, but it'll do for a general forum like this. If you find yourself arguing with your mentor, then it means you've got a piece of you that knows you need to change something about your life. Shark isn't a big talker, really. Shark swims idly, only hunting for food, or when there is blood in the water. But when he is on the hunt, he strikes without mercy or compassion.]<<<<<

>>>>>[If I ever get really good at magic, I could make good money with it here in LA.  While I can use magic, I'm hoping that I don't get to the point where people immediately turn to geek me.  I'm a rigger who uses magic, not a Mage who uses drones, if that makes sense.  But yeah... I do need to learn more about my magic...

Thanks a lot, though Chrona, I do appreciate you taking time out of your busy day.  I'll be keeping my eyes open quite a bit more.

Yeah, I'm starting to figure that out.  Dragonslayer and I weren't exactly on the best of terms, well I wasn't with him, until this "Mizz Johnson" reared her head.  I *can't* let her rope in any other young Runners only to kill them off.  I've spent ten years with Dragonslayer, and ten years arguing with him.  Three times we've been in agreement.  The first two were when I recruited Timber and Carat.

If it weren't for rent, I wouldn't care about the nuyen after this.  I can't let someone lead young runners to their death.  Drek... did I just grow up?]<<<<<

>>>>>[MotherdrekingFINALLY.

Took me, a just over half of 20 something years old this generation guy, several freaking DAYS to get this stuff to work.

I want my comnlink back.

Anyways, speaking of Johnsons, anyone hear from Cash or either of our favorite Orks? I know they can be busy, but I'm kinda worried. I didn't know them well enough to really get them in my phonebook, per say, but they were always good for advice and the odd job.

Also, C.E., welcome to the Shadows, stay in them or get out, etc, etc etc, Ice and Wyrm have already gone over it all.

Ice, hows the married life, on the off hand? You and X still on honeymoon?]<<<<<

Also, has anyone heard from Smiley or his cutely psychotic apprentice? I haven't seen them since that after party, and I swear I was drunk for a week after I last posted. Less worried about them though.]<<<<<

>>>>>[Murphy and Bull haven't been around lately, but in Bull's case, that could have to do with being blown up. Don't know about Murphy, though. Smiley is, as far as I know, up to his usual tricks. We crossed paths at the airport while Xerena and I were stopping off on our way from Europe to the South Pacific. He didn't say what he was doing in Metropole, and we didn't ask. If Autumn was with him, she was elsewhere when we met, but we had to head on to get our connecting flight.

And yeah, Card, married life is suiting me just fine. Of course, don't look for me to be settling down and retiring or any of that. Xerena and I both have our work, and that keeps us busy. Honeymoon was great, in a world tour kind of way. We went to Spain, to pay respects to her lost loved ones, and then took a couple days to tour around Tir Nan Og. Hit a couple places in the South Pacific after that, before heading back to Seattle. Xerena still does her talismongering, and sometimes goes out hunting reagents. Me, I'm still doing the escort/bodyguard thing on the side, and running when there's work that seems interesting. And there's been some very interesting things happening down in Cara'sir, what with the fallout from the elections.

CE, trust in what Dragonslayer tells you. For those of us with a mentor, everything works better when we listen to them. Just do yourself a favor, and don't mention him too loudly around dragons, yeah? And definitely don't go thinking that gives you an obligation to go out finding dragons to slay. They tend to be a bit touchy about such things, and the year long statute of limitations on reprisals set down by Celedyr isn't up yet. Take it from someone who's been there, don't ever try and go toe to toe with a dragon unless you have no other choice. And pray you have backup if they don't give you a choice. I'm lucky, in that being a possession mage makes me generally tougher to kill, but in a scrap with even a regular adult dragon, I'm dead if I'm on my own. Don't get stupid.]<<<<<

>>>>>[I..guess I overestimated medtech these days, but I hope Bull's doing well in his vat, if he's still alive.

And yeah, I figured he'd be up to something. He's got that whole ring operation thing going on, as well as his own things. Glad to hear you had a good vacation though! How was the other Tir? It as mysterious as other people make it out to be?

Also, Coyote says hi. Yes, that is a new thing. Surprised me too. DIdn't think I'd fall under her...purview. Definitely interesting to learn more about her and her ways though. Also wasn't expecting to have a female totem. -shrugs-]<<<<<

>>>>>[Heh, yeah.  I might be stupid, but I'm not stupid enough to think that Dragonslayer wants me to kill literal dragons.  If my uncle gets his way, I know what he'll want me to fight.  If my "close family friends" get what they want, I know what they'll want me to fight.  Silly enough, there's a drek gang out here calling themselves "The Jade Dragons" and they're pissing off an elven gang.  (I sleep to the sound of their debates, where they use bullets and grenades instead of words and logic.)  I just know I'm going to have to put a stop to that war.

Thanks for the warm welcome, everybody.]<<<<<

>>>>>[Don't poke your nose into drek you don't have to. Unless they start actually shooting up near your abode, leave it burn out on it's own. Protect your own, and your property, but definitely don't get involved in a gang war if you can help it. Espeically in the middle. Unless you're getting paid and have one gang backing you up. Bad zen lays down that path either way, but the less risk you have, the better.]<<<<<
